The Final Defense of Seourina
The Sly Raccoon Main God had already lost all interest in the pathetic General Gods who were fleeing from the invaders that had armed themselves and launched a direct assault on the Capital Planet. Instead, he turned his attention back to the surrounding War Gods. Yet from the perspective of those ordinary deities, running away was only natural.
‘We only came out to protest because we couldn’t stand the discomfort of the communal temples anymore. We never intended to risk our lives fighting.’
‘We just wanted a safe opportunity to vent our frustrations.’
However, instead of the security forces that had only been defending, the skies were now filled with War Gods standing in confrontation as if ready to wage full-scale war. On top of that, an unfamiliar Creator God was descending with thick killing intent and fighting spirit, looking ready to shatter the entire planet. There was simply no courage left to stand against that.
Reckless flight was the natural reaction, but it became the worst possible obstacle for the War Gods tasked with defending the Capital Planet.
“Entry is impossible.”
“Hurry and evacuate the General Gods.”
“If a Creator God enters combat at this rate, every General God will die. We must force them out to the planetary outskirts somehow.”
“Deployment… impossible….”
The War Gods of the Otherworld knew all too well that ordinary War Gods held no meaning against a Creator God beyond simple harassment and buying time. Still, if they could concentrate their forces quickly and strike before the enemy adapted to the planet, there was at least a chance to block the activation of his authorities and push him back.
But the fleeing General Gods—who had been in the middle of a protest—completely blocked their paths, making it impossible to gather troops. The defense forces had essentially left their entire command structure completely exposed. They tried to control the interfering General Gods, clear a path, and regroup. However, the numbers were simply too great and the resistance too fierce, so their options were severely limited.
In fact, the crowd resisted even more violently than during the protest itself, causing the military forces to scatter completely. When Dimension Genesis God Core saw the War Gods being pushed outward by the tidal wave of General Gods, he clicked his tongue in disbelief.
“Tsk tsk—! I can’t even tell who the enemy is and who the allies are. If they’re obstructing the advance, you should just kill them all and open the way. Are you all planning to die together? At this rate, the Capital Planet defense forces have nothing to brag about.”
The place where Dimension Genesis God Core had descended was the very heart of the Otherworld. If a high-ranking Creator God landed without a swift response, the damage would be catastrophic. It wouldn’t just be a matter of tens of thousands of General Gods dying—the entire Divine Realm could grind to a halt.
That was why the final troops guarding the Capital Planet were always elites, the ultimate defensive measure no matter where one went. Seeing even those vaunted Capital Planet defense forces reduced to such a pathetic state, unable to mount any response, Dimension Genesis God Core felt both immense amusement and deep disappointment.
‘If the Divine Realm stops, there won’t even be a resurrection. It would truly be the end.’
When an enemy invades your main base, they must be eliminated as quickly as possible no matter the sacrifice. There was no room for leisurely consideration. Yet everything was proceeding exactly as he desired.
There was only one purpose behind all of this.
‘Drag out every last scrap of the Otherworld’s military strength from the very bottom. Then defeat them all and prove that I am the strongest. In doing so, I will seize absolute power to enact the necessary changes.’
If he alone defeated the entire Otherworld, he could wield absolute authority by himself. That was why, although the information he had obtained from the Supreme Commander could have been overturned single-handedly, he had deliberately turned the Void Realm blockade forces into the so-called “Truth Royal Guard” rebels and dragged them along.
‘To gain some forces of my own and to make the ruling class of the Otherworld so enraged that they charge in without thinking about consequences.’
Perhaps that was why, according to the information extracted after knocking the Supreme Commander unconscious, the communal temple “Efki”—where the Supreme Committee and the Committee resided together—was now vibrating violently.
‘As expected, after giving them just the right amount of stimulation, they’re finally responding properly.’
Kukukukukukukuku—!
The tower-shaped buildings that soared high into the sky split apart into several pieces and transformed into what looked like an enormous throne. Above the seat created in the empty space of the structure—which now resembled the Throne of Glory belonging to the Main God of the Divine Realm—exactly one hundred Creator Gods and three hundred Lord Gods appeared, each fluttering twenty-six pairs of wings of light.
‘A communal form of the Throne of Glory? So the integrated authority belongs to the Committee’s three hundred Lord Gods and the Supreme Committee’s one hundred Creator Gods? I wonder just how strong it is?’
Watching their terrifying, killing-intent-filled gazes turn toward him, he laughed with genuine delight.
“Hehehe—! Stop making such boring faces. Isn’t this a rare chance for all of us to fight after so long? Why don’t we all enjoy ourselves?”
“Shut up and die—!”
Their furious reaction was perfectly understandable. The War God he had supposedly sent to help as the Truth Deputy had instead labeled their elite forces as rebels, dragged them here, and attacked the Capital Planet. Anyone who didn’t get angry at that would be out of their mind.
That was why the communal temple “Efki,” now transformed into the shape of the Throne of Glory, finally revealed its true nature. It took control of every communal temple “Coop” and began indiscriminately extracting divine power and authorities from them all.
The result was a saturation of divine power cannons from every building across the Otherworld.
Kwaaaaaaaaaaaang—!
Countless beams of light poured out from every single “Coop” communal temple in the Otherworld. Each one was a divine power cannon infused with the authority of a Creator God. Even a Lord God would not survive a direct hit from such weapons, yet they rained down like a storm aimed solely at him. However, the expression that rose on his face was not one of alarm, but a faint, mocking sneer.
“Hehe—! So your final trump card is nothing more than linking every communal temple on the planet, connecting their divine power in parallel, and firing infinite divine power cannons? It would be effective against an infinite army as a planetary defense measure, but against a powerful individual it’s nothing but a waste of divine power. I know that better than anyone since I’ve both used it extensively and suffered from it. Surely this isn’t your actual last resort, is it?”
He genuinely laughed as he watched the divine power cannons pour down like a torrential storm, now close enough to reach him at any moment. Divine power cannons exceeded the speed of light, but any decent War God could move even faster. No matter how many there were, they could still be dodged.
Yet the amount of divine power contained within each cannon was nearly equal to the total divine power of the entire Capital Planet, which he had calculated the moment he landed on the surface.
“Hehe—! Looking at the divine power packed inside, it seems this really is everything you have. Behold the greatness of the Absolute Realm’s authority that you dare call the Void Realm. Although it is not the highest in the Sage lineage, the absolute authority with the strongest destructive power—World Bomb Core—has infinite applications. Core Authority—Defensive Form—! KHAHAHAHAHAHAHA—!”
The Core, which had already grown to the size of a satellite beneath his feet, instantly compressed into something the size of a house and swallowed Dimension Genesis God Core whole. At that moment, the Core turned translucent black as if diluted. The instant he fully entered the translucent black orb, every divine power cannon in the Otherworld—gathering the divine power and authorities of all its gods and striking with the authority of Creator Gods—poured down upon it.
The eyes of the Supreme Committee’s Creator Gods flashed with triumphant light.
‘This is a divine power cannon fired by us Creator Gods after infusing our authorities with the divine power gathered by no less than fifty million High Gods. Even if it were Truth himself, a direct hit would be fatal.’
From a Creator God’s perspective, although the cannons were slow and consumed vast amounts of divine power, they had the advantage of forcing identical damage regardless of the opponent’s defensive authorities. Now all that remained was a massive explosion, the target being torn to pieces, and death.
But at the next sight, their eyes widened in shock.
“!!!”
Sssssssssssss—!
It was no longer a black orb. It had become a vast, bottomless black lake floating in space. No—it was an endlessly wide black sea. The countless divine power cannons left only tiny ripples like a drizzle as they were absorbed into that black sea. The Creator Gods could only gape, mouths hanging open.
The divine power cannons left thin streams of light as they drew circles and were absorbed toward the center of the black sea. Dimension Genesis God Core, who absorbed the cannons with ridiculous ease, calmly clasped his hands in front of his chest and spoke in an indifferent tone.
“World Bomb Core is fundamentally a wide-area authority created to face an infinite number of enemies alone. Its combat criteria are set to those weaker than or equal to the caster. When compressed into its defensive form, Core can absorb and return all attacks—including physical ones—by focusing on authority. If cast properly, it is the only wide-area authority capable of handling any number of beings of equal or lesser strength. That is why it can be said to surpass even ‘Yggdrasil,’ the only authority capable of sealing an Eternal Being, in terms of raw power. Therefore, a concentrated barrage of mere divine power cannons like this can be absorbed as much as—”
The center of the black sea trembled and radiated brilliant light.
Kukukukukukukukung—!
There was no need to check what it was. The divine power cannons striking the surface of the Core were being pushed back and destroyed by even more powerful divine power cannons pouring out from within. The sight of hundreds of thousands of divine power beams being completely pushed away by a single divine power cannon fired by Dimension Genesis God Core alone was utterly shocking.
“I strengthen them and return them. Your divine power cannons are too slow, and their trajectories are clearly visible. Even if they exceed the speed of light, any Lord God above a certain level can move faster than that, so their effectiveness drops. This is nothing more than fireworks, not combat weaponry. Utterly useless.”
The Creator Gods were left speechless by how lightly he handled and responded to the divine power cannons that contained the full might of fifty million High Gods concentrated on Seourina.
In the Current World, only Creator Gods could exceed the speed of light. Yet he had casually declared that even a certain level of Lord God could do so.
‘War Gods who can exceed the speed of light are only “a certain level”? That’s impossible.’
There was no way to deny it. And it did not end there. The divine power cannons fired at planetary scale were now being pushed back by the ones radiating from Core, then completely intercepted and annihilated in midair.
“Did you see that? This is why the use of divine power cannons has already disappeared in the Absolute Realm. The kind of divine power cannon that can actually be used on the battlefield is something like this. Dimensional Divine Annihilation Cannon—!”
The endless stream of divine power cannons radiating from Core’s center vanished in an instant. Feeling the spine-chilling killing intent and sense of crisis, the Creator Gods immediately redirected all functions of the communal temples to defense. Their response was correct in principle, but it was not effective.
The difference in divine power and authority was simply too vast.
Pagagagagagagang—!
Divine power cannons that suddenly burst out from various points in space simultaneously destroyed the gun ports of the surrounding communal temples. The sight of the cannons teleporting without any presence, piercing through the “Coop” communal temples’ defenses, and exploding from within to shatter them was like a nightmare.
“He used spatial authority and divine power cannons at the same time by himself!”
“What the—!”
It did not end with destroying the communal temples’ batteries. The cannons continued to travel back and forth endlessly through space without disappearing, completely destroying even the defensive functions of the Coops. In a single moment, the Dimensional Divine Annihilation Cannon—activated simultaneously, crossing through space, and amplifying its power—completely paralyzed the battery functions of every “Coop.”
The Creator Gods who watched their final defensive measure—the one they had trusted even against Truth—collapse so miserably had nothing to say.
“…….”
“…….”
When the result came in that all the “Coops” controlled by the Committee’s communal temple “Efki” were now inoperable, everyone fell silent. In a single attack against one individual, the final defensive functions of “Seourina”—prepared for traitors, decisive battles, and even an invasion by Truth—had been utterly destroyed.
And it had happened in the very large-scale artillery battle they had been most confident in.
“This is ridiculous—! You’re saying one person surpassed the rapid-fire capability of Seourina’s divine power cannons?”
It meant that Dimension Genesis God Core had single-handedly surpassed the infinite rapid fire of planetary-scale divine power cannon batteries. They could not even speak in the face of such absolute power, the kind that made one wonder what kind of computational ability and authority would be required to achieve it.
But then Core’s form changed once again. The defensive shape that had swallowed and protected Dimension Genesis God Core’s body now wrapped around him like full-body armor. Emerging from within the Core, Dimension Genesis God Core continued speaking calmly.
“As you can see. The defensive form of Core possesses near-infinite absorption against authorities or divine power cannons. It can also bounce physical force away with elasticity and even absorb shockwaves completely, converting them into vitality. The only method with any chance of destroying Core’s defensive form—which possesses such characteristics—is pure physical force. Only the full-powered attack of a powerhouse capable of exerting physical attack power at least two circles above the caster. However, there is a countermeasure for that as well. It is this personal defense form.”
Core began to materialize as it wrapped around his entire body. It radiated intense black light and transformed into a suit of jet-black full-body armor.
Hwaaaaaaaaaaa—!
Leaving only his head covered by a robe, Core completed its transformation into full-body armor. He descended as if dropping straight to the ground.
Doong—! Doong—!
A massive explosion and shockwave spread out once again, as if a meteor had crashed. An enormous amount of mass had been added to his body, making it seem difficult to control, but when thirteen pairs of wings of light and thirteen pairs of dark wings appeared behind him, the issue seemed resolved as he rose back into the air.
Wearing the jet-black full-body armor made of Core, with all twenty-six pairs of wings—thirteen light and thirteen dark—fully spread, Dimension Genesis God Core let out a great laugh as he soared through the sky.
“Khuhuhuhuhu—! It’s a bit heavy. Was it too much for the Otherworld? Now then—I am a 12th-circle mage god—! I am truly looking forward to it, and yet also doubtful, whether there is even a single War God in the Otherworld who possesses physical attack power above the 14th circle.”
