The Unfair World
The voice of the Grey Absolute rang out, laden with infinite reverence as though it were a hymn offered to the god of the Otherworld War. Yggdrasil, the strongest authority in the Sage lineage, was practically the proof of the Grey Absolute’s very existence. The computational power and divine energy required were so immense that ordinary beings could not even begin to comprehend them. Everyone remained deathly silent, listening as this absolute authority began its formal incantation.
Even for the Wind Family, witnessing the formal activation of such a supreme absolute authority in person is rare. It’s a chance to grow stronger.
Yet they soon sensed something was wrong.
“Wait… isn’t this different? The chant is being slightly modulated? You’re altering an already completed absolute authority? Why would you do something so dangerous and pointless? The power will drop and it’ll become unstable—there’s a risk of explosion.”
Nearly every being in the Absolute Realm knew of Yggdrasil. The formal chants for each lineage’s supreme authority were common knowledge, so any deviation immediately raised questions. Forcibly modifying a perfected authority was naturally bound to cause problems.
But the Grey Absolute had no energy to spare explaining to his still-immature descendant. He urgently needed to summon other Origins from the Wind Family to minimize the damage.
He’s doing it on purpose so it explodes.
The Black Flame had Pahoton, which created Coa. With Exploding Blood and Always Coin Heads, he had forged his own world using dimensional authority. And now, to deny the reality that he could never win no matter what he did, he had created this.
As reality-denying magic, it is the absolute best.
A collision between this and Pahoton would require six 10-Centers-level Origins from the Wind Family to perfectly seal every direction—front, back, left, right, above, and below.
“Summon additional personnel. Everyone assume maximum defensive posture. Redirect all minor attacks to the Master Universe’s boundary. Pour everything into blocking the next collision.”
The moment the formal chant for Yggdrasil finished, a horribly twisted voice immediately followed.
"But what the hell do I care? A world that makes only me suffer can go straight to hell."
⟨ 14th Circle - Unfair World ⟩
Full-power reality negation.
The illusion of the colossal tree that had been growing endlessly began to wither at terrifying speed. Cracking sounds echoed as fractures spread across it. It was no longer an illusion. Having activated Yggdrasil only to forcibly deny and cancel it, the authority was collapsing in on itself. The powerful absolute seal capable of imprisoning even an Eternal Being had, in another sense, become a bomb that could destroy worlds and annihilate even an Eternal Being. Because this destructive force stemmed from the annihilation of an entire world rather than a mere space-time explosion, both its scale and power were impossible to calculate.
Since it is world-destroying magic, any being that belongs to a world cannot avoid or block it through ordinary means.
Once triggered, every facet of reality within the affected domain would suffer catastrophic damage and spiral toward destruction. No one could guarantee that the entire Absolute Realm was not included in that zone.
Having roughly estimated the power behind it, the descendants’ faces turned pitch black.
“A world-destroying bomb that surpasses a space-time bomb? There really was someone who used something like this?”
After the majestic chant resembling a sacred hymn came the additional chant that sounded like a lament for one’s life. The giant tree’s illusion began to blaze white-hot, radiating blinding light.
Anyone can see it’s about to explode.
Canceling it is already impossible.
The Grey Absolute, who had been calmly observing the tree’s condition, declared to the Black Flame Absolute.
“This is the 14th Circle reality-negating magic Unfair World, which summons the collapse of every order in existence. The fact that it has come to this is your fault, Black Flame Absolute. If it activates perfectly, half the Absolute Realm will be finished. So use that proud Pahoton of yours and offset it nicely. I wish you the best of luck.”
CRAAAAAACK—!
The tree’s illusion swelled even larger, expanding as though it would swallow the Black Flame Absolute whole. The moment it engulfed him, it began shrinking rapidly with his massive body at the center. Anyone could guess what would happen once that contraction finished.
“Whaaaaat—! Even as one of the 10 Centers, you’re trying to end the entire Absolute Realm without mercy. You really have no consideration or sanity. Just what kind of treatment do you want from Grandfather Jinri to act like this? Do you actually believe you can handle losing half? Wait, you can’t endure it automatically? There’s no way my dimensional barrier can’t withstand the aftermath of an attack like this? Aah—! It’s really true? Fine, let’s go. I’ll come back later to ask again. I have far too many questions.”
When his opponent refused to engage, the descendant who had been prattling beside him hurriedly returned to his position and layered his barriers. Two additional Wind Family Origins who had been urgently summoned sealed the space above and below the duel site. Only then did they trigger the reality-negating magic with full power.
Our duty, for now, is to reduce the damage caused by the absolute might of the 10 Centers.
The Absolute Realm itself would struggle to contain beings wielding absolute authorities that surpassed one quadrillion in divine power. This was precisely why the Wind Family’s primary duty had become mitigating the aftermath every time these beings dueled.
Though it was only about blocking the aftershocks, the danger level was enough to make anyone curse instinctively.
What a bunch of walking disasters—! If it weren’t for our assigned duties in the Absolute Realm, they would be the first ones I’d eliminate.
If the 10 Centers had already labeled the Wind Family Origins as future threats, their power had long since become a tangible danger.
When I was young and first became an Origin, my heart pounded with excitement. But reality was nothing but dangerous, thankless work that earned only suspicion. So I quit everything, shut myself away in Wind Star, and focused solely on training. Yet I couldn’t control a momentary surge of emotion and ended up in this mess again.
Even he would have to accept severe injuries if he wanted to endure this collision unscathed.
This bastard always causes trouble at the end, blames everyone else, and shifts responsibility. If he loses after pulling this stunt, I won’t let it slide.
Still, what he found admirable was that fighting spirit—the willingness to risk anything for certain victory as long as he believed he could survive.
When the shrinking Yggdrasil detonated, it would erase everything without distinguishing between the one who activated the authority and anyone else. Yet the Grey Absolute refused to retreat, thickening the Coa around himself, transforming it into a raging storm as he pressed the attack.
Of course, the aftermath of these lesser attacks was all redirected to the boundary of the Main Divine Realm, where it hammered against the defensive barriers.
To prepare for the decisive collision, every minor shockwave had been ignored and hurled toward the Master Universe’s boundary.
As a result, every Creator God in the Master Universe who had been mobilized to reinforce the barriers was now desperately struggling on the edge of life and death.
And they were utterly horrified.
The Master Universe’s barrier had become an iron wall that even the strongest beings of the Absolute Realm could not breach. Yet before the 10 Centers, it was completely useless.
Merely the leftover remnants of the aftershocks that the Wind Family Origins—tasked with erecting barriers during the 10 Centers’ ranking battles and duels—could not fully contain were enough to threaten total collapse.
“The barrier is vanishing again! Restore it immediately—!”
“There cannot be even the slightest gap! Block it now—!”
All dignity as Creator Gods forgotten, they broke into cold sweats and dashed about like low-ranking lower gods suddenly thrown onto a battlefield.
Every single one of them, regardless of rank, was completely focused on repairing the barrier that threatened to burst like a soap bubble the instant it touched the space-time bomb known as Coa. They all understood that without this barrier, they were finished.
Among them were, of course, Sangharama and Jinmyeol—the Creator General and the strongest Creator God of the 499th Master Universe—along with other Creator Gods. This was why they had abandoned the Main God King Battle before its conclusion and rushed here after the Eternal Beings’ emergency summons.
Yet none of them had imagined they would face a space-time bomb storm capable of reducing even a Creator God’s body to dust.
“Oh my god!”
“Is this what the 10 Centers are truly like?”
Even the aftermath of a single strike from Pahoton was displaying horrifying power despite the Eternal Beings combining their strength to block it directly. Although the attack itself had been defended, the resulting shockwave was tearing through the rear sectors of the Master Universe’s barrier as easily as paper.
The sight of the Eternal Beings’ bodies losing their immortality and becoming damaged by the Black Flame’s destructive force felt like something out of a nightmare.
If even the Eternal Beings who are Creators are in this state, ordinary Creator Gods would die from the slightest graze.
As a result, even the Creator Generals had fallen into near-panic.
The god race possessed eternal lifespans, yet most considered one hundred million years a single generation. A duel between 10 Centers occurring after a billion years was simply not something they could handle.
Seeing such power and authority in person rather than in records left them speechless, mouths hanging open.
Sangharama and Jinmyeol, the Creator Generals of the 499th Universe, had believed that after surviving the blood-soaked battlefields of the Absolute Realm, nothing could intimidate or surprise them anymore. After fighting the Substitute Gods and the Race Determination War for a billion years, they had grown so used to it that it had become boring.
Yet the duel of the 10 Centers struck them with such force that their minds went blank. No—the screams of fellow Creator Gods and the explosive sounds of bodies bursting from every direction were enough to drive anyone insane.
“Dodge—! Don’t let it touch you!”
BOOOOOOM—!
Another nearby Creator God’s body made contact with the Coa and vanished, reduced to dust. Though their divine spirit remained intact, the damage was so severe that regeneration would not be easy. Screaming, they were forcibly summoned back to the Creator General realm of the 1st Master Universe.
Although Creator Gods of the 499th Master Universe were roughly one circle stronger than those of other universes, no one had the courage to test it themselves.
In the first place, the very idea that the barrier created by the Eternal Beings could collapse was beyond common sense.
Gulp.
They swallowed hard without realizing it as they watched the Coa, now transformed into a sandstorm, completely engulf the barrier.
That was no power that any gathering of Creator Gods could possibly stop. They could only barely endure by relying on the barrier the Eternal Beings had created.
Though they had only just arrived, they shared the common understanding that the moment the barrier fell, it would be over. They frantically threw themselves into reinforcing it.
Thus, the Creator Gods of the 499th Master Universe had been swept into the aftermath of the 10 Centers’ duel and were experiencing a continuous string of crises for the first time.
Unaware of any of this, the Dimensional Mage God had returned to his Dimensional Divine Realm located within the Main Divine Realm and was heading straight for the Main God Temple.
Retrieving the data held by the special-duty Main God Kings is an absolutely necessary step.
It was impossible to accomplish alone. He would need full cooperation from the spirit gods of the Otherworld, whose power was linked to his own creation ability, as well as the other female main gods.
Of course, the parties involved had no intention of cooperating easily. Creation was extremely difficult even for gods. It was generally little more than exhausting manual labor with no immediate, visible benefits. It was no coincidence that the number of gods with strong creation power continued to dwindle over time.
Still, it had to be done—even if by force. He was growing tired of trying to persuade them with empty words that never worked, and had resolved to demonstrate his will through action.
“……”
Having steeled his resolve, he summoned the main gods of the Dimensional Divine Realm to the Main God Temple. When he looked at the gathered group, he truly had nothing to say.
How can they all be this useless?
The main gods’ creation power was so pathetically low that he wondered if they were truly members of the god race. While some were stronger than average lower main gods, from his perspective it was barely better than having none at all.
This is proof that they only focused on raising combat power.
The spirit gods of the Otherworld, who might have been somewhat helpful, were simply glaring at him with open hostility—perhaps still holding grudges from their defeat before the Main God King Battle.
They look ready to attack the moment an opportunity appears.
The spirit main gods had not even properly adjusted their new bodies yet, so high-level creation was impossible for them. Only Lokina, the Flipside Main God who had strengthened her own dimensional authority, and Kurkana, the carefree serpent goddess, offered the slightest bit of help.
The beast gods had been raised too preciously and possessed no familiarity with complex creation. The main gods of the Giant Tribe only possessed high physical ability and combat power, with no creation-related authorities whatsoever.
Now I see—they all only raised combat power while their creation ability is at rock bottom. These are poisoned apples that look good but will kill you the moment you bite.
On top of that, the gods’ attitudes were completely different. Most of them seemed deeply offended by how the recent Main God King Battle had been forced through without discussion. They refused to even make eye contact.
It was such a far cry from the preliminary Creator Gods of the Main Divine Realm—who waited eagerly for orders so they could earn merit and recognition—that he found it difficult to adjust.
I’m getting a headache…
The disparity between the Main Divine Realm and his Dimensional Divine Realm was so severe that he was beginning to experience physical symptoms that should not exist for one of the god race.
In the Main Divine Realm, he tapped his finger against the desk, but inwardly he wanted to slap his own forehead in frustration.
