The Farmer's Decree
The future Magic God of Dimensions also laughed with unrestrained joy. He had been grateful for even the smallest assistance, yet he honestly had not expected the Origins of the Wind Family to go this far. The reason lay in the massive contribution made when the future Magic God of Dimensions had gone to locate his past self for confirmation; the sudden self-destruction had nearly annihilated the forces of the other Ten Centers.
“Even with a time limit, activating the racial authority that turns an entire clan into Ten-Center level powerhouses, and the absurd destructive force of that self-destruction that would wipe out everyone except the highest-ranking bloodlines.” Without such achievements, they would not have spared him a glance, but the Wind Family had acknowledged his contribution in bringing the Absolute Realm closest to the number-one ranking after it entered a stable period, and thus accepted this request. They could not possibly know how desperately the Magic God of Dimensions summoned through reality denial had struggled to exist. To persuade the stubborn grandfathers who valued perfection above all, he had even risked the bloodlines of the Ten Centers and self-destruction, yet that burden must remain unknown and unknowable. Such weight would be catastrophic for this fragile existence that constantly sought to flee.
“The Magic God of Dimensions is still far too weak. When will I ever raise him properly to make use of him? Heh-heh! I knew it, but the gap is truly vast.” The notion that someone’s sacrifice and expectations become strength was a lie. It might serve as motivation for the strong who possessed leisure, but for the weak it only pressed down on their shoulders, stripping away will and hope. Until he gained a little more of a strong being’s composure, pride, and the power to stand on his own, the only way he could endure this harsh reality was to be pushed forward with trials and aid. No, he had to achieve independence in the shortest time possible and become a help to the Wind Family as they faced and responded to that relentlessly hollow reality.
“Puhuhuhuhu! As expected, this is an excellent request. With this much, I can do anything. Let’s begin right away. Whether he’s the Black Flame Absolute, the natural enemy of the management gods, or whatever else, I’ll show him the true power of a mage god.”
Thus the present Magic God of Dimensions also burst into loud laughter at the lingering echoes of the authority and power he had obtained. A mage god was originally a being who used all divine power and mana as tools, albeit in a degraded form compared to what gods normally wielded. His strength was determined by the number of authorities he possessed and his ability to combine them. Now every authority of gods and demon gods alike waited before him, ready to be used. Moreover, because these were the lingering echoes of the Wind Family Origins’ authorities, even in their degraded state they easily surpassed the level of Creator Gods.
“Though I can only use them for this request, this alone will bring about a revolutionary advancement in my dimensional magic.” That alone made the risk to his life worth taking, which was why he rejoiced so greatly. The three mage gods laughed together without any restraint on their emotions. Their laughter grew louder as they truly rejoiced at the coming battle and victory, confirming one another’s feelings. The sight sent a chill that instilled terror in every being who witnessed it, enough to make all the Main Gods and gods gathered in the Great Main God Temple swallow hard and fall silent. Yet because these three were beings whose authorities far exceeded those of ordinary gods, the lower existences could not even comprehend how dangerous they were.
However, there was one who did not know this: the newly ascended Indomitable Hero God, formerly a hero and the pope of the War God. Having only just become a lowest-rank god, he had received almost no information support from the Divine Realm and remained ignorant. The moment the Platinum Divine Dragon Erendra restored him, he regained his senses and cried out in desperation. Who stood around the Magic God of Dimensions no longer mattered to him. Rather, the existences were so immense that his consciousness automatically avoided recognizing them. The sole thought dominating his mind was that he had to stop the selection at all costs.
“Please reconsider even once more! Selecting without warning? This is mass slaughter. No matter how much of a god you are, you have no right to do this. How can you strip living beings of their right to survive when they live in peace? Even demons do not go this far.”
The three mage gods, who had been fiercely exchanging wills and reveling in their detailed plans to crush the Black Flame Absolute and the delightful future ahead, froze solid and returned to reality. Upon confirming that a lower god dared call the sacred “selection” mass slaughter, fury surged forth. With openly distorted expressions, each vented their displeasure, and it all poured directly onto the one who had spoken.
“A lowest-rank god who just got knocked out by my attack as a Creator Candidate and immediately regains consciousness? Is this the influence of the bloomed ‘Indomitable’ authority? As expected, talented types like this really rub me the wrong way. And what? Worse than demons? A lowest-rank god running his mouth at the Chief God of the God Realm is outright rebellion.”
“Shall I seal him in Divine Spirit Purgatory for eternity? Or perhaps cut off his head and turn it into a divine tool. No, since he’s a warrior type, maybe I should make armor instead.”
“Isn’t that the hero bastard who tried to stab me in the back when the War God first started? Why is he a lower god now? No matter how talented he is, this is ridiculous. Does he lack gods that badly? Forget loyalty, he’s the type who gets betrayed easily. Clean him up right now!”
The anger of the Origin of the Mage God erupted far more violently than that of the past and future Magic Gods of Dimensions. He had been savoring the sight of his clan and the unfolding events while crafting and refining plans to smash the detestable Ten Centers, tasting the greatest joy as a god of battle, only for that absurd remark to ruin everything in an instant. It was the pleasure he had barely managed to feel after hundreds of billions of years of knowing the truth of reality.
“My mood was finally good for once, so which damned minor god dares interfere? On top of that, he profanes the sacred selection by calling it mass slaughter? And the right of living beings to survive? How could such a thing exist? Why else would lifespans be granted? Were you born yesterday? Even the lowest angels know this fact, so why bring it up now as if it’s new? Just where did this ignorant worm come from?”
The fury and killing intent of the Origin of the Mage God, whose innate divine power exceeded one quadrillion and who had transcended the 14th Circle, poured straight into the Indomitable Hero God, the former hero who had just screamed and was now only an 8th-Circle lower god. Uwaaaaaagh! The hero god desperately clung to his will against the sensation that he would be torn to pieces, and by force of habit grabbed the divine sword that happened to be in his hand and called out to it. The divine sword connected to the Main God Realm always gave the correct answer, and it responded clearly even now. The pressure from the Magic God of Dimensions or the similar existences beside him were one thing, but the being that had just revealed its anger felt different. Only merciless killing intent without a shred of mercy or emotion reached him.
“Wh-what is this? Just being looked at feels like I’m going to die. Is this really a god? How am I supposed to face it?” Yet the divine sword, which always spoke of hope, answered with chilling calm. “Any last words? I’ll make sure to pass them to your next master. Tell him to watch his mouth around higher gods and never challenge them. Actually, I might not survive this either. How can such a being even enter the Divine Realm ruled by Main Gods? Beg for your life, master. If you’re lucky, they might spare you. You finally became the god you always wanted and obtained immortality, limited though it is, only to die on the very first day? Wouldn’t that be unfair?”
“Wh-who is that being?” “He is estimated to be a blood relative of Truth at the 14th Circle or higher but below the 15th Circle, the Origin of the Mage God. His estimated divine power exceeds one quadrillion, and the level of his other authorities is immeasurable even by the standards of the Creator God’s Divine Realm.” “One quadrillion? What kind of number is that? And mine?” “Roughly one hundred thousand. Your divinity is that of an Intermediate God, but without training or followers your authorities are nearly nonexistent, making you a lower god.” “One hundred thousand? One quadrillion? What is that? How can the difference be so vast?”
Even seeing the numbers revealed an immeasurable gap, yet he could not grasp any sense of the being before him, nor could any method of response come to mind. No, his combat instincts were correctly displaying nothing but endless despair that he could not possibly endure. Thus the lower god, the Hero God, floundered without even knowing what kind of existence had directed its anger at him. Unexpectedly, help arrived from an unexpected source. The current Chief God of the God Realm, the Magic God of Dimensions, stepped forward.
“He is a newly ascended being who knows nothing and is only a lower god, so there is no value in the great Origin of the Mage God personally intervening. Besides, this is a perfect opportunity for joint education, so I will demonstrate it myself. I will show the meaning of selection and the existence of living beings to all transcendents who will become lower gods. Therefore, assist me, my future self.”
“Oh? You intend to make use of me? As expected of my past self, you don’t miss an opportunity.” “Originally I planned to proceed over the course of a month, but the longer this request drags on, the lower the success rate becomes, so we must begin immediately. You and I will simultaneously develop the Creator God Star and the new Main God Star that must stop at the initial stage, bringing them to full maturity. That way we can utilize over half of the Divine Realm’s authorities.” “That is true. If the highest-rank Creator God Star displays its original power, even if all the Main God Realm comes at us there will be no problem, so developing the Creator God Star and a ruling race is indeed necessary. Will you be all right with this, ‘Grey’? Even if I directly intervene in the Main Universe?”
The future Magic God of Dimensions asked respectfully, bowing his head toward the Origin of the Mage God. The direct movement of an Absolute Realm Ten Center was an enormous incident. Especially in a lower Main Universe, there was no need to elaborate. “The backlash from powerhouses on the level of Creator God King or Demon Emperor is of no concern, but the backlash from a Creator must be considered.” It could be perceived as internal interference. Yet the answer that returned was surprising.
“Why would it not be? ‘Grey.’ The position of a Ten Center directly under Truth is never beneath a Creator, an Eternal Being; it is equal or superior. Furthermore, when acting under Truth’s orders, one holds authority priority. Even in ordinary actions, as long as they do not contradict the laws of karma that prioritize development, one possesses infinite authority and prestige along with immunity from prosecution. That is why the Ten Centers are the pillars supporting the Absolute Realm and the spear points aimed at every existence’s heart. Even an Eternal Being cannot interfere, and there are no exceptions in their disposition. It is not for nothing that the Ten Centers and their bloodlines possess absolute military might as rulers of the Absolute Realm. Above all, no matter what damage is inflicted upon a Main Universe, if a greater compensation is possible, Truth will permit it. Since even Eternal Beings of equal standing and the Wind Family’s bloodlines do not intervene in reality, who would hold a Ten Center accountable? Such trivial political matters are only used among fellow Ten Centers; all other existences should be ignored. Consider only yourself and the development and evolution of the universe. Therefore, show it to that foolish lower god and every existence watching here. Show them the sacredness of selection and the greatness of a mage god who has reached the absolute!”
“Heh-heh! As expected, you are decisive. I will do as the Origin says. I will learn it well right away.” The future Magic God of Dimensions gave a light laugh and alternately gazed at the new Main God Star ‘Granraha’ floating in the distant void and the dimensional Creator God Star beneath his feet. “No matter how absolute I have become, this matter weighs on my mind.” It was because he had to simultaneously mature the highest-rank Creator God Star and the upper-rank Main God Star. Yet the sooner he proceeded, the sooner he could land a blow on that damned Black Flame Absolute who had erased his past self, so he did not mind the trouble. Thus, humming cheerfully, he began activating the authority of dimensions.
“The past me who created me received no help whatsoever, so in the end he could not receive the aid of the dimensional Creator God Star and stood alone on the battlefield, only to be defeated and die. This time must be different.” Even if it meant tightening the noose around his own neck, he could not possibly endure without returning everything that had been done to him back then. Since this would be the first step, he willingly bore the burden.
“I am a farmer, and you are trees.”
Along with the resonant chant of the 14th-Circle mage god, the absolute authority of dimensions began to move, fueled by over one quadrillion in divine power.
