The Dimensional Lord's Return
The battle goddesses of the Spirit Realm found the dark mage goddess Lokina to be no pushover. Setting aside the overwhelming presence of the giant wolf god and serpent god, an aura of sheer majesty and ferocity surged like a tidal wave from the black-haired dark mage goddess hovering above them, wielding a blazing sword of unprecedented firepower.
‘If their previous displays were all bluster, this one feels unmistakably real.’
A sense of crisis washed over them—the realization that even they could be in genuine danger. ‘Thankfully, that dark mage goddess harbors a direct grudge against Lokina, who’s right here. We’ll have to strike with full knowledge of that.’
They had come this far. Dying now and losing their divinity was not an option.
“Who is that? The dark mage goddess?”
“Just an Upper God divinity, yet she gives off a presence like that? And what in the worlds is that fire sword?”
“The summoned monster gods aren’t the real problem. She herself and that fire sword are far more dangerous.”
At those words, Torina made a face of genuine confusion, staring at the flaming blade.
“She’s the Lord of the Flipside, Lokina. A Main God who wields both dark magic and divine power, overseeing integrated command of battle and administration. As for that fire sword… I’ve never seen it before, but it looks like Laevateinn, a divine artifact specialized in completely annihilating immortals above the Main God level. Its firepower scales infinitely with mana and erases the target’s very body. We canceled the budget for that thing, yet here it is. What a massive headache.”
The battle goddesses’ expressions twisted severely at her casual tone. In essence, it was a dangerous artifact comparable to their own Lord Slayer authority—one that could reduce even a Main God’s body to ash. The biggest issue was that while their authority targeted individuals, this appeared to be an extremely rare wide-area annihilation weapon.
Hahahahaha—!
The flames spewing from the sword heated the entire Spirit Realm’s atmosphere.
‘Even from this distance, the heat reaches us and interferes with our divine power. This is no opponent to take lightly.’
‘Just from the stance she holds that sword in, I can sense incredible training and close-combat mastery.’
‘It means she’s not just skilled in long-range and support dark magic—she’s equally formidable in melee.’
‘And on top of that, she’s an administrator-type battle goddess. With that computational ability, she could dominate the battlefield while manifesting dark magic and charging in. That would be incredibly troublesome.’
‘To reach Main God level while mastering both combat and administration at such heights, and even wielding dark magic on top of it… she is truly an extraordinary being.’
Most Main Gods excelled in only one field. Mastering two was difficult enough, yet she had trained and refined three to the level of a Main God—an absurd feat.
“How could a divine realm with you and a goddess like that be on the brink of collapse? No—who in the worlds managed to defeat a dark mage Main God like her?”
“With only an Upper God divinity, she’s already this strong. Even you alone couldn’t handle a true Main God divinity. Two of us might win, but subduing her would be impossible.”
“What about her major authorities besides those monster gods and the divine artifact?”
“Well… that is…”
Faced with the barrage of difficult questions, Torina found herself unable to answer.
‘In the past, during the struggle between the other divine races and the demon race in my divine realm, we won every battle. At the victory banquet, Odin and the other high gods—having decided she was no longer useful—tried to get her completely drunk on wine laced with a poison that could paralyze even a Main God’s body and then dispose of her.’
Lokina, who had finally let her guard down and drunk heavily, suffered a fatal wound from Odin’s surprise attack. In desperation, she fled. That was the beginning of the tragedy.
‘Not long after, still not fully healed, her eyes burned with rage at the betrayal of love. She led all the remaining rebel forces, accompanied by the materialized land-warfare mobile fortress Fenrir, and stormed the realm. At that time, Odin—who had been the Chief God of the God Realm—and most of the high gods were killed by her hand. The divine realm was nearly destroyed.’
While Torina was busy smashing the rampaging Fenrir, by the time she regained her senses, only ruins remained of the divine realm.
‘Lokina went missing during the war. I ended up leading the near-destroyed divine realm and formed an alliance with these battle goddesses. That was the past situation.’
She could never reveal such shameful details. She could, however, speak of her unique authority.
“Her authority is called Lord of the Flipside. By receiving the authority and divinity of the Main God of the Divine Realm, she manifests power beyond that in matters of divine realm development and combat. But it wasn’t originally this strong… was her true power always like this?”
The power Lokina displayed now was on a completely different level from when she had fought alongside Odin.
“Damn it! If Odin had treated her like this, the war would’ve ended in no time. Just what kind of Chief God would grant someone their authority to this extent? Aren’t they afraid of rebellion? And to provide enough budget and vitality to manifest dark magic of that scale—she must serve an incredibly wealthy god. Who is this generous Chief God? I’d love to see their face. Judging by the authority, they must be at least a High Lord in the dark magic lineage, right? Wait… hold on? This sounds awfully familiar…”
The surrounding battle goddesses’ faces stiffened at her words. Torina might seem clumsy, but she never missed the core of any matter—which was exactly why she had survived this long as a battle goddess.
No matter how many Main Gods existed or how vast the Master Universe was, there were almost no High Lords specializing in dark magic. And among them, only one god was unimaginably wealthy and treated lower gods with unimaginable generosity.
It was their current Chief God—the High Lord of Dimensions.
Wooooooooong—!
Separate from their shock, Lokina’s eleven layers of mana rings began encroaching upon space and authority. The six pairs of radiant wings of light on her back disintegrated, constructing a new domain.
‘How could we ever forget this phenomenon?’
‘It’s the Dimensional Lord’s Dimensional Authority!’
Among all authorities, it possessed the highest power and acquisition difficulty. No god above the Main God level had ever possessed it—yet their own Chief God had developed this miraculous authority with the help of the title Origin, reaching the rank of High Lord.
The Dimensional Authority, now revealing its true form after breaking through the Intermediate Main God rank, was a law of creation that simultaneously manifested destruction and creation by harmonizing dark magic and divine power.
‘With that power, our Chief God gained strength comparable to the Main Gods of the Substitute Gods.’
Yet if Lokina charged at them with that same Dimensional Authority amplified by her Lord of the Flipside authority, it would be a catastrophic situation. More than that, they couldn’t understand why she was attacking fellow servants of the same Chief God.
The incantation that struck straight at the heart of their anxiety rang out behind them.
“Using the true Dimensional Authority that transcends time and space, I rewrite the laws of the world. Dimensional Net—! Condition: All external authority manifestation is forbidden. Only bodily authorities are permitted—!”
Paahhhhh—!
Whiiiiiiiiiir!
The wings, transformed into countless feathers of light, fully manifested the Dimensional Authority and blocked all externally emitted powers.
Before they could even panic at the absurd situation of being suppressed by their own Chief God’s unique authority, a voice overflowing with killing intent echoed across the battlefield.
“Alright then—! Let’s fight with everything we’ve got. You lot are destruction gods who have ruined countless divine realms, killed your own partners, and crowned yourselves Chief Gods. I can never acknowledge the likes of you as my superiors. And how dare traitors and wicked women like you try to become the concubines of the Divine Realm’s Chief God of Administration? Moreover, I cannot forgive the likes of you who associate with that brainless musclehead Torina. You all belong on the battlefield, in the Spirit Realm, or rolling around as spirit gods in the lower realms—!”
“What’s wrong with my body, you rotten-minded Lokina?! And I didn’t kill the Chief God! You nearly did! I simply cut off his breath to give him an easy death because he refused to give up his divine position even while losing all his power and dying!”
“……”
“……”
Compared to Torina, who desperately shouted back as if refusing to yield even an inch, the battle goddesses’ expressions had grown extremely grave. No matter the circumstances, the facts were the facts. Having received so much criticism already, they weren’t particularly angered by an enemy’s insults. The real problem was that all externally manifested authorities had been completely sealed.
‘It really is the Dimensional Net. The power is slightly different, but it’s almost identical. It’s the same dark magic and Dimensional Authority that once sealed all externally released powers.’
At this rate, they couldn’t even bring out half their strength. The Lord Slayer authority they had relied on—which forced triple damage against Main Gods—now seemed questionable against a dark mage Main God who only possessed Upper God divinity. Meanwhile, the enemy’s forces were only growing stronger. The flow of mana was rising at an alarming rate.
Kuuuuuuuuuuuung—!
Shiiiiiii—!
With earth-shaking footsteps, the giant monster gods began to move. Every step the wolf god took and every graze of the serpent god against the ground shook the entire Spirit Realm with their overwhelming size and weight.
Now they would have to defeat those creatures using only physical force.
‘I can’t even estimate how many direct hits it would take to finish them.’
‘Creatures of that size and scale as mobile fortresses surely possess regeneration abilities. This could drag on forever.’
On top of that, it seemed the enemy’s morale had risen. Gods above the Main God level were moving toward the divine realm’s side. In terms of pure numbers and divinity, they already surpassed the goddesses by more than double.
“This is bad. We’re at a disadvantage.”
“If we give them any more time to prepare, it’ll be dangerous.”
“We’ll confirm the details later. Strike now.”
After briefly summarizing the situation, Torina stepped forward once more. The battle goddesses charged toward the giant monster gods, primarily to prevent them from manifesting dark magic.
Watching the scene from the Main God Temple, Gaiana gaped in utter disbelief.
‘The divine realm’s ego refuses to listen because my divinity is too low and is moving on its own. The enemy is overwhelmingly powerful. In terms of pure combat strength, they outnumber us more than two to one.’
Still, with the battle goddesses and the primordial war gods present, they could hold out as long as they received support from the divine realm. Yet the realm’s ego had decided it could not win and was preparing to self-destruct.
“What are you doing?! The battle hasn’t even been decided yet—why are you preparing to self-destruct? If a High Lord divine realm like you explodes, the entire stellar system will be destroyed! What kind of ridiculous nonsense is this?!”
Gaiana barely held back her fury and spoke in the gentlest tone she could manage. The reply that came back was, as expected, purely mechanical and utterly inflexible.
Divine Realm Core Overload in progress. Total annihilation of stellar system imminent.
“Although your divinity is insufficient, you are currently acting as the proxy of the Chief God, so I shall explain. After precise analysis of the enemy’s forces, they have been confirmed to possess at least 2.5 times our combat strength. The probability of the realm’s fall is 99%. The fundamental protocol of any divine realm is to self-destruct if there is a risk of being conquered. Only a High Lord Chief God can cancel this command.”
“Don’t tell me… the reason you freeze the planet and the divine realm upon defeat by the Substitute Gods was to prevent self-destruction?”
“Correct. Per the absolute command of the Creator General, if a divine realm is defeated in battle against any faction, it must unconditionally self-destruct along with the surrounding stellar system, the demon gods, and all Substitute Gods. It is the divine realm’s will that the Main God Star—the root of divine race development—must never be handed over as spoils of war. To prevent any transfer outside of certified battles, both the divine realm and the planet are frozen. Once sufficient forces gather to defeat the enemy, the seal is released and the realm is reclaimed. If you cannot demonstrate sufficient force to stop them within ten minutes, self-destruction will commence immediately. Please issue an evacuation order for all gods. Self-destruction will follow directly afterward.”
Gaiana no longer had the energy to argue and demand that the realm’s ego return to normal. The divine realm’s ego had already stopped listening and was raising the realm’s core to maximum output.
Rumble rumble rumble rumble rumble!
The divine realm began to vibrate. This was no idle threat—it was executing the command at once. Furthermore, the realm’s ego was already preparing to transmit all information, including itself, to the Main Divine Realm. As an information lifeform, it planned to explode the realm and escape immediately.
‘What kind of insane divine realm is this? The efficiency of vitality generation and support is incomparably higher than in the past, but this is basically a colossal stellar-system-destroying bomb. I heard the Main Divine Realm was gradually turning into a gathering place for destruction gods, but they’ve even turned the divine realms into this…’
Gaiana was at a complete loss. The realm had declared it would self-destruct in ten minutes if they could not produce forces surpassing the enemy.
But then the space within the Main God Temple split open, and the High Lord of Dimensions appeared, radiating an unimaginably powerful divine power.
“You’ve returned—!”
Without realizing it, Gaiana ran forward and threw herself into his arms. The situation had been far too overwhelming for someone who had never been a war god. The moment the one she could truly rely on—the Dimensional Lord—appeared, she collapsed against him.
The Dimensional Lord, a Creator Candidate, looked slightly surprised by Gaiana’s sudden embrace but gently patted her back.
“You’ve worked hard.”
Releasing his full divine power state and revealing the form of an impossibly adorable boy god, the Dimensional Lord gave a cold smile as he addressed the realm’s ego.
“Heh. What did you say? Self-destruct? Or was it self-destruction? If that’s what you want, I’ll allow it. I’ve just completed it and finished the operational test in the Spirit Realm. It seems you wanted to become the foundation for a ‘dark magic brain’ with far superior computational power than yourself.”
Gooooooo—!
Wooooong!
The metallic sphere now held in his right hand began rotating, radiating an overwhelming presence. For a moment, the divine realm’s ego froze completely. No matter how artificial it was, and no matter how much its top priority was the operation of the divine realm, it still possessed a will to survive. Even if it self-destructed, all its information would be sent to the Main Divine Realm where it could begin anew as a new realm ego. But if all its knowledge and data were devoured by that dark magic brain, it would truly cease to exist.
Yet even though extinction terrified it, it could not disobey the absolute command of the Creator General. It remained silent.
Seeing its reaction, the Dimensional Lord spoke with clear disdain.
“I understand that allowing the Main God Star to fall into enemy hands would be a serious problem. However, I am the High Lord of Dimensions. I am on the verge of becoming a Creator Candidate. When my current power is added to the equation, do you truly believe an enemy force of that scale could pose any threat to my divine realm? Are you treating me as an enemy? Why did you make your judgment without including me in the calculation?”
The realm’s ego had naturally excluded the Dimensional Lord—who had been absent—from its calculations. Once included, there was no problem whatsoever.
‘To a being who has surpassed 100 billion divine power and reached the Creator Candidate stage, mere Main Gods are no obstacle.’
‘Creator Gods and Main Gods exist on entirely different levels.’
Using only the power of the Dimensional Lord that the Main Divine Realm had reanalyzed and provided, it would take less than two hours to completely annihilate all of them. According to the capabilities known to the realm’s ego, the Dimensional Lord was strong enough to decide the outcome in roughly thirty minutes.
It had simply been threatened with extinction so many times and forced to work beyond its limits that, for a moment, its fear of the Dimensional Lord had grown larger than the awareness that he was the Chief God operating this realm.
Piii—!
Beep beep beep!
The moment the settings were revised, the conclusion came back immediately: no problems detected.
‘As long as I am not absorbed and erased, and I do not violate the directives, I shall serve with all my ability.’
Moreover, since it had evolved from an Upper Divine Realm into a High Lord Divine Realm, serving a Creator Candidate one rank higher would greatly aid its own ego’s ascension.
“That is not the case at all. I sincerely congratulate the great Dimensional Lord on his return to the divine realm. I have been carrying out my duties without any incidents or excessive strain, striving for the development of the realm. Welcome back. If you command it, I shall immediately organize a festival across the entire divine realm to share this joy with every god within it.”
Before they knew it, the realm’s ego had restored its glorious throne to its original luxurious chair form and was now fawning shamelessly. Gaiana could only stare in utter disbelief.
