The Unbreakable Law of the Creator God King
The Spirit Realm War. In the end, Jinmyeol could never become the Creator God King. The title of Ruler was determined by one's own disposition and authority. For someone who valued decisive and straightforward outcomes above all else, the more he involved himself in an organization, the more problems arose. He always produced the best results, but the process came at an enormous cost.
Jinmyeol and the one known as Garama both understood perfectly that he could never overthrow him to claim the position of Creator God King. That was why the path he chose was not to become a Ruler, but to eradicate anything that hindered the development of the God Race.
'To earn a title that would allow him to do so, he stepped forward more than anyone and fought in their stead.'
The powerful beings who grew strong within his domain through his support and then rebelled were in no way inferior to the Substitute Gods. They were members of the Absolute Realm—administrators and constituents alike—who had risen up due to unavoidable circumstances tied to their own groups or personal situations. Of course, once they were brought into his domain, he neither ruled nor dominated them. He simply offered support. The fear of him had vanished, leading to this madness from those who had grown complacent and the Absolute Realm members they had dragged into their folly.
Such internal rebels were naturally not dealt with by him personally. On the contrary, he would even praise their courage. But their greatest problem was that no one in the Master Universe welcomed their rebellion.
'He is an unparalleled powerhouse, a harsh judge, yet the most fair arbiter of all order. Moreover, just as a god has no interest in human material wealth beyond faith and vitality, he too engages in no exploitation whatsoever. He only provides support for them to grow stronger and develop. As long as they continue to evolve and advance, he is the perfect and flawless Creator God in the eyes of the God Race.'
However, the factions that rebelled out of resentment toward his harsh judgment of those who could not keep up immediately faced reality.
'In a Master Universe completely suppressed by the Substitute Gods, there is no spare space to build a force capable of opposing him. In the end, the aftermath of battles attempting to subjugate the Substitute Gods and secure territory causes damage on the scale of entire Local Universes. Enraged Creator Gods then commission the Absolute Realm, which deploys mercenary gods.'
Dealing with them fell to those who had volunteered as mercenary gods of the Absolute Realm.
'Because everything in the Absolute Realm belongs to him, it is called his battlefield. His true wars are only when he single-handedly suppresses a Master Universe. The rebellions led by Creator Gods with their full forces are also incredibly dangerous.'
The basic level of the Absolute Realm members they had to subjugate was at the Creator God King level or higher, and they possessed enormous forces. Consequently, the mercenary corps numbered in the hundreds of trillions, and if the upper echelons of the Absolute Realm were involved, the numbers easily surpassed quintillions. Transactions involving units unimaginable in a Master Universe were exchanged.
And there were privileges that simply could not be ignored.
'Mercenary gods who successfully subjugate the direct leaders of a rebellion can receive any title or profound meaning they desire from him.'
Not a title thrown out with only a sliver of potential, riddled with restrictions and only partially unlocked. But a complete title earned through conquest, free of any limitations. And not some profound meaning that fools attempted without proper preparation or qualification, only to die in droves. It was a proper transmission, equivalent to becoming a member of his own clan.
'This is both proof and reward for those strong enough to defeat members of the Absolute Realm. Even now, countless beings wait for someone's rebellion, watching for an opportunity. Those members, if defeated and fallen, are turned into Substitute Gods by the Absolute Realm and have their vitality forcibly reclaimed to replenish what was consumed suppressing the rebellion. They fight desperately.'
He had no need to offer support or attention to the weak who had been defeated by those who were not even members of the Absolute Realm. Already cornered, they resorted to every possible means to resist. It truly became a fight to the death. In most cases, both sides were annihilated. Yet no one refused to fight for the reward of acquiring one of his unrestricted titles or formally learning his profound meanings.
'If they win, they become powerhouses that even Creator Gods cannot ignore. They reach realms impossible through any amount of effort or physical training, all under his guidance.'
To martial gods who had trained for eons, reached their limits, and stagnated, there was no greater temptation. But the irony was that in the training process to subjugate rebels, they inevitably grew strong enough to rival their targets. If they did not, they would simply be killed by the very ones they were sent to eliminate.
The targets of subjugation had also learned his titles and profound meanings, but had rebelled due to unavoidable circumstances.
'They were groups or families on the verge of judgment for violating his law—the karmic law that demands endless development. They rose up for the sake of their clan and family, knowing they could never win and would eventually become Substitute Gods. It could be called noble, but it was far too foolish. The result was their own destruction and the annihilation of every force under them. A meaningless sacrifice.'
'Those who lost to me probably wore expressions of relief once everything that caused the battle's aftermath had vanished. It really is a funny thing. Those who rebelled against him because their loved ones were so precious showed joy rather than anger or emptiness once the cause disappeared. If that was the case, why did they take on such a burden in the first place? Wouldn't it have been better to live alone like me, pursuing one's own purpose?'
'I am different! I refuse to protect criminals who hinder the development of the God Race. Before they can face his judgment, I will kill every last one of the targets and clean the slate.'
A massive screen in the air grew even larger, displaying the current state of the war. On it, the Creator God King of the 500th Master Universe and the two Origins of the Almighty God Tribe were engaged in a desperate, frenzied exchange of authorities.
The original authorities possessed by the Creator God King's own God Race and the exact copies of those same authorities collided at point-blank range. It was a brutal melee where even the slightest error in timing would allow every activated authority to focus fire and drive the opponent straight into death.
Following their lead, the Creator Gods holding titles and the Lord Gods of the independent divine realms also clashed. They were evenly matched, probing for weaknesses and keeping each other in check. The real problem, however, lay with the Creator God King and the Origins of the Almighty God Tribe.
Though they appeared equal at first glance, the Origins were locked in close combat, gripping both of the Creator God King's hands tightly to maintain their advantageous range. In this endless cycle of offense and defense using their authorities, damage was steadily accumulating and their divine power was rapidly depleting.
In contrast, the Creator God King had suffered no damage beyond his shattered hands. His divine power was only growing stronger with each passing moment.
'The Sanctuary of the Origin, which grants absolute defense to all members of his clan except against transcendent authorities, has expanded to cover his entire body. The God Race members, realizing they are on the brink of extinction, are pouring their consciousness and support into the Creator God King.'
'As a result, his divine power is already approaching three quadrillion.'
'This is precisely why the God Race can never overthrow a Creator God King.'
The only ones capable of defeating a Creator God King were a true peer at the same level or the Demon Emperor. The Origins of the Almighty God Tribe had gained equivalent divinity through their joint authority, but it was only half-complete—limited to the physical body.
'All flash and no substance. Still looks good on the outside, but there's nothing inside.'
'They somehow raised their bodies and authorities, but their computational power is still only at the Lord God level. They're invincible against lower beings, but against equals or superiors, they only expose weaknesses. Even with two of them running parallel processing to compensate, they've only increased capacity, not speed. Their reactions are far too slow.'
'Once their amplified divine power is completely exhausted, it's over.'
Their trained bodies could endure the defense, but the activation speed and power of their offensive authorities were incomparable to their original realm. Although two of them meant more authorities in total, their opponent was the Origin of the entire God Race—the Creator God King. He took almost no damage and recovered instantly, while the Origins of the Almighty God Tribe were slowly accumulating injuries.
As a result, their visible wounds increased noticeably, and their recovery speed slowed.
The Demon Emperor clicked his tongue as he watched the scene from the side.
"They're about to die. Those guys learned his profound meaning. Isn't it a bit of a waste?"
"The justification is sufficient at this point. Let's sweep them away in one go. You'll give me proper compensation for helping, right?"
Warriors of that caliber were rare even in the 499th Master Universe. No—it was more accurate to say there were no beings capable of learning his profound meaning through their own power. With just a slight increase in divinity and some accumulated experience, they would more than pull their weight in the race-deciding war against the Substitute Gods. Right now, on the eve of war, powerhouses with the potential to stand equal to the Substitute Gods were incredibly precious.
That was why both the Demon Emperor and the bystander Jinmyeol had stepped forward. But the answer that came back was resolute.
The Creator God King's words, filled with unshakeable conviction, were immediately met with the sneers of Jinmyeol and the Demon Emperor.
'Even without that, just sitting still and watching a large-scale invasion war instead of a regional conflict was already making my insides boil with dissatisfaction.'
'Regardless of justification or the other side's circumstances, the shared belief was that thieves who broke into someone else's house without permission should all be beaten to death.'
To the two of them, it was simple: win first, then beat down anyone who complained that it was too harsh.
The unfiltered criticism finally cracked the Creator God King's expressionless face for the first time.
The Creator God King had never expected honorifics or polite speech from these two anyway. In terms of pure individual combat ability, they held the advantage.
'The Demon Emperor is troublesome because he also commands a Demon Race force equal to the God Race. Jinmyeol has no subordinate organization, but he is even more dangerous. Jinmyeol is clearly a member of the God Race, yet because he earned that title, even my authority as the Origin of the God Race is completely ignored.'
On top of that, he possessed a mass-slaughter authority that even the Demon Race feared, one that disregarded race entirely. Even if the entire God Race were thrown at him, it would only increase the number of sacrifices. And since he was currently insisting on cleaning up useless things, he would probably be delighted to go wild.
'If he had a partner or concubines, his thinking might change, but he says he doesn't know who he'll have to judge next, so he refuses. What a vicious bastard. Does he really plan to live his entire life alone, without forming any connections, simply fulfilling the role of judge?'
That was also why the Demon Emperor, who would normally be driven by instinct to fight each other to the death, was avoiding an all-out war with the entire God Race.
'If two out of the three fight, one side will clearly suffer massive damage while the remaining one seizes complete dominance.'
That was why he had tried to avoid anything that might spark conflict as much as possible. But being told he was the same as the Creator God King of the 500th Master Universe was something he simply could not accept.
'To avoid criticism and backlash at the next full assembly of Creator God Kings, a clear justification is necessary. Sacrificing one high-ranking defensive divine realm at the Creator God level is both certain and an appropriately sized sacrifice.'
It was clear they were waiting for such a sacrifice, but considering the price that would have to be paid to step forward now and prevent the unified checks from the other Creator God Kings, it was cheap. The justification of revenge was the most solid reason for war.
Even after such a clear declaration of intent, the reply that came back was the same as before.
Crack!
The attempt to treat the fact that he was crazy as an established truth finally caused cracks to appear in the mental discipline he had built up over the years. Veins bulged on his forehead. The fact that Jinmyeol, who had previously taken his side, was now siding with the Demon Emperor and constantly nitpicking only doubled his rage.
Finally, the words he had been holding back since earlier burst out.
…….
For a moment, he could not find any words to reply to what his comrade—who had fought alongside him on his battlefield—had said.
They were foolish beings who could not overcome their personal feelings and had started a rebellion they could not win. Yet they were all immensely powerful, overflowing with character and warmth, to the point that he felt genuine respect. Because they were such beings, they had rebelled for the sake of those few who would face his judgment, and even as they fell at the end of a brutal battle, they had worn expressions of relief that they no longer had to defy him.
They had felt such overwhelming shame at having become obstacles that hindered the development he pursued for 'eternal happiness.'
'Even though, as defeated members of the Absolute Realm, they faced the fate of having all their memories sealed by the Absolute Realm and becoming Substitute Gods, they looked as if they had finally found peace.'
Yet being criticized as the same as someone who waited while sacrificing an extremely small portion of military strength for the sake of perfect justification caused power to unconsciously flow into the hand gripping his divine weapon.
It was true that the one fighting the Creator God King of the 500th Master Universe over there should have been him—the Creator God King—and not merely the Origins of the Almighty God Tribe.
Seeing this, the Demon Emperor shook his head, leaned back on the sofa, stretched his legs out fully, and spoke.
BOOOOOOM!
KUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNG!
On the massive screen floating in the air, the Creator God King of the 500th Master Universe was seen delivering a decisive strike exactly where the two fists—manifestation points of the joint authority—met.
The joint authority of Hwi of Omnipotence and the Sage of Omniscience was forcibly dispelled, and their divinity plummeted once more.
