The Sky Fang's Reckless Charge
In the Spirit Realm war, a Main God who reigns above the heavens leaps into the gap between a Creator Candidate and a Creator General, each probing for the other’s weaknesses. He moves to settle the fight in close combat before the enemy can finish preparing, having spotted the momentary vulnerability while the Creator General readies a ranged attack from behind.
“Daring to change stance right in front of the enemy—if he were on our side, that would be a fatal mistake he couldn’t even complain about after death.”
Throwing himself into a standoff where the full authorities and divine power of Upper Gods clash is reckless; one wrong move and he could be torn apart by both sides. Yet he has no choice.
“Objectively, their side holds the advantage, and this is my responsibility. I have to make up for my earlier mistake, so I’ll accept the risk.”
Following instincts honed through countless battles, he weaves through the chaos and plunges into enemy lines. The Origin of the Sky sees the utterly reckless solo charge and his face twists in shock.
“As expected, this old man has been away from the battlefield too long—his reactions and counters are sluggish.”
The surrounding Creator Gods are also slow to respond with their authorities. That delay lets him close the distance into striking range. Gathering every scrap of divine power and authority, he chants the name of his unique authority—the very power that once raised him from a lowly existence to a warrior of his clan.
“Sky Fang—!”
Kwaaaaaak—!
Tuahahaha—!
It is the thunderous roar of clenched fangs. The heavens themselves scream like countless molars grinding together. The universe, now dyed azure, splits apart, forming the shape of a beast’s fangs. What begins as a single form multiplies endlessly, biting and swallowing Creator Gods whole.
“The destructive force packed into each of those fangs surpasses the Sky Corridor.”
By overlapping the manifestation and hurling it onto the battlefield, he tears through divine bodies. A single hit allows follow-up strikes that cannot be blocked. “Originally a regional authority meant to protect one’s surroundings, when concentrated it can threaten even Creator Gods. This is my unique authority, far beyond the official techniques of the Sky God Tribe. No one else could master it, and that very fact bred jealousy and crisis.”
Branded a dangerous element who shook the order simply by existing with incomparable authority despite his lowly status, the Origin of his clan understands exactly what this power is. He abandons releasing “Azure Heaven Sky” and instead smashes the Sky Fangs with everything he has. As expected of a clan Origin, he neutralizes attacks that exceed even the highest-grade Sky Corridor with remarkable skill. The roar of rupturing space shakes the narrow battlefield.
Everything is going according to plan.
Kwaaaaaang—!
For an instant, the swirling remnants of shattered space obscure the gods’ vision. Even Creator Gods cannot fully grasp the situation amid countless spatial fragments. “Under normal circumstances this would be impossible, but with the support of a Creator God-level divine system, I can complete it—the ultimate Sky-attribute killing technique I’ve always wanted.”
Receiving the enormous price from the mercenary god had been pleasant, but now that he must pay it, the situation is on the verge of collapse. Yet refusing to use it would mean the annihilation of the Divine Realm’s gods, and even allies must be compensated appropriately—compensation on a scale that could shake the entire Divine Realm.
“How much did I agonize and train to develop an authority capable of delivering a fatal blow to the Substitute Gods alone, so I could become self-sufficient?”
Now that suffering bears fruit.
Uuuuuuung—! Uuuung—!
He manifests Sky Fang on both arms themselves. With Creator God-level divine system support, divine power is limitless. Countless Sky Fangs form and compress into his arms. “Divine artifacts are, after all, nothing more than auxiliary tools to prevent bodily damage.”
Infusing them with divine power and authority grants greater strength than before, but at the cost of divine power loss. Once one reaches the level of a High Lord, no divine artifact can match their inherent strength, reducing the artifacts’ effectiveness. Even the highest Substitute God Lords possess bodies no divine artifact can critically damage. The conclusion is clear: to obtain Creator God-level authority capable of defeating them, one must turn their own body into a divine artifact and unleash authority through it.
The countless Sky Fangs gathered on both arms emit a final grinding roar and merge into a single colossal fang.
“Twin Fang Sky.”
With one swing of his arm, he rips open the defensive authorities of a Highest Creator God completely. Hundreds of layers of Sky defenses vanish as though punched through. His authority has long since surpassed the Origin’s level in the past; only the divine rank of a Creator God remains.
“If I had remained a Creator God in the outer main universe, I would have founded a new race and become an Origin.” Of course, without the concentrated support of this main universe’s Main Gods, it would have taken an eternity. After completely dismantling the defenses, he swings his other arm—wielding an authority that could turn the past’s greatest into relics—and aims for the Highest Creator God’s head.
“An authority of offense and defense as one; because both happen simultaneously, it cannot be easily blocked.”
The Creator God never expected that a fellow Sky God Tribe member would tear through the Origin’s self-defense authority like paper and charge in. Combined with the spatial rupture momentarily blinding him, he is completely exposed. The decisive moment has arrived.
Tuahhhhhhh!
The right hand of his “Twin Fang Sky” attack sweeps across the Creator God’s head, where the circle of divine power resides. It is the most vital point; a single solid hit ends even a Creator God’s body. From the right hand extended as if to touch the forehead, the authority of “Sky Fang”—sharper than any awl—reveals its ferocity. Even the Creator General over there would be finished by a direct hit.
“I’ve won. Huk—!”
Pasuk—!
A sudden, chilling sensation forces him to twist his shoulder. Agony lances through him as the attack’s trajectory shifts. He does not waste time looking back like some novice to identify his attacker. Among those present, only one being could have blocked his surprise strike.
“He was facing the Creator Candidate, yet he somehow found an opening.”
Puhaha—!
Divine blood sprays, confirming it. The Origin sacrificed himself to save the others. Not only him—Main Gods from other independent divine systems have also spotted the enemy’s openings and charged in almost simultaneously. Waves of divine power now ripple outward from multiple directions.
“Damn it! As expected of the Creator General—reading my authority and responding in time! But it’s not over yet. Mistakes must be corrected.”
Kwadeuk—! Adeuk—!
He opens his mouth wide, then clenches it, overlapping his authority. His fangs turn pure white, radiating light, growing impossibly sharp. The name attached to his unique Sky authority is “Fang”—that is, teeth. “The strongest, most trained part of the body is the teeth. Naturally, the greatest authority and divine power can be concentrated there.”
If one unit of divine power can normally be focused on a body part, teeth can handle four or more. He can confidently say that, limited to individual targets, no Sky authority surpasses this in power. “It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a higher authority than Sky itself.” In the outer main universe, the tribe’s dignity would have forbidden it, but this main universe cares nothing for such things. “True power needs no decoration.”
This is the transcendent authority that earned him the glorious title “Main God who reigns above the heavens”—his own power, obtained by delivering a fatal blow to a lower Substitute God Lord.
“Heavenly Sky Fang—!”
Ppajijijik—! Kasasasasak—!
His body, already accelerated within the Sky domain, accelerates again. An authority overlapping on his fangs forcibly imposes upon his body a speed that even Creator Gods cannot match for an instant, and he charges. Every authority, divine artifact, and body in his path is bitten and crushed by fangs fused with authority.
“Before the unity of a Highest Main God’s trained body and transcendent authority in this main universe, no material or Creator God’s body can endure. Even divine artifacts reinforced by divine power can be torn apart like paper.”
Thus he bites and cuts through everything blocking his way until he reaches his target. What enters between his jaws is the Creator God’s neck. As the fangs sink in, the sturdy Creator God’s body crumbles like sand and divine blood erupts. When his transcendent authority is driven inward, it shatters the Origin’s authority. Death follows immediately. The Origin of his clan wears a face of despair, realizing exactly what this power is. If all authorities are detonated from within the body at the last moment, anyone is finished.
Pasuk—! Taaaak—!
Yet his fangs clash emptily against each other. It was an ultra-high-speed attack with no time for spatial movement or authority to block, yet only half succeeded. Half the neck is torn away; a fountain of divine blood arcs between his mouth and the Creator God now distant. “The Creator General is retreating, taking the Highest Creator God who was just attacked and all the other Creator Gods with him!”
Huooooong!
As the accelerated world returns to normal, divine blood sprays through the air like bursting bombs. Before the blood stand the independent divine system Main Gods, their expressions pale from taking some damage. Yet a subtle pride lingers on their faces—they have each done their part. “The Highest Creator Gods have suffered at least critical wounds or worse; their bodies have lost binding force and the vitality in their spilled divine blood is being rapidly absorbed into the divine system. The Creator Gods struck just now have lost at least half their divine power and vitality.”
If the Creator General had not intervened, they could have finished them, but they themselves had to take equivalent damage. Even so, the Origins can no longer activate their authorities, so the objective is achieved. Rather than resurrection, the real problem is that they poured their transcendent authorities into their bodies and pushed them to the brink of destruction—they will suffer for it. Since no god can release “Azure Heaven Sky,” the advantage lies with this side.
Yet the enraged voice of All-Powerful Splendor rings out.
“You insolent brat! Who exactly do you think you’re showing an opening to? Who are you trying to help by showing mercy? We should have finished them, but you went and saved the others too—!”
What the Creator Candidate holds and shakes appears to be the Creator General’s arm—torn from his body. The faces of the independent Main Gods darken at the sight.
“To suffer such humiliation—! Damn it! What the hell is this situation!”
Even now, the Creator General’s true strength is evident: he interfered with all their surprise transcendent authorities, let the critically wounded Creator Gods escape unscathed, and retreated while taking every last one. He seems to have taken serious damage from the Creator Candidate in the process, but the fact remains that he handled them all alone. “The Creator General is an opponent no Creator Candidate can face alone.” “He is the one who must be killed first to lower his divine rank.” Yet that very being showed a fatal opening, and they only managed to sever one arm before letting him go. To a god, losing that much divine power is damaging but fully recoverable. The real problem is that having part of one’s body taken by the enemy wounds pride so deeply it drives one to madness. “Wound a beast and release it, and revenge becomes terrifying.” Especially when that beast is the Creator General—now he will come without regard for means or methods. “This is insane. We had to kill him somehow, but instead we’ve only provoked him further.” “Next time he’ll prepare far more viciously and charge in—what do we do?” “And why does he keep worsening the situation when he can’t handle it alone? Does he even want to win?”
As the surrounding independent divine system Main Gods’ gazes turn hostile, All-Powerful Splendor—who knows his own mistake well—coughs awkwardly and looks away.
That moment had been the perfect opportunity created when the Creator General, forced to rescue the Highest Creator Gods endangered by the independent Main Gods’ timely surprise attack, left himself completely exposed. If they had killed all the highest-ranking gods then, the war would have ended. Yet because he is the Creator General, he sacrificed an arm to escape while dragging even the lesser gods to safety. “A being of the Creator General’s caliber will never again leave himself open to a fatal attack, so that moment was far too precious.” Such an opportunity will never come again, and the regret is immense. “But who could have imagined the Creator General would willingly offer an arm just to save those useless lesser gods who only get in the way?”
After all, on the battlefield those gods are nothing but hindrances who die quickly—why would he reduce his own strength to save them? Seeing the direct Main Gods only now beginning to react to the ultra-high-speed clash that just occurred, he suddenly sighs. “If only these guys had joined in at the same time, we could have finished it. Are they really on a different level from the independent divine system Main Gods? Their divine power and rank are the same, yet the difference on the actual battlefield is too great. We should consider them half a circle lower.”
The independent divine system Main Gods took little damage even from the Creator General’s attack. They failed to land a killing blow, but they did inflict critical wounds that will keep the enemy off the front lines for now. In the process, they even infiltrated their authorities into the enemy bodies to prevent recovery for a long time. “This achievement came from attacking the moment the enemy switched from offense without any orders. With this one strike we could have ended the war, but I alone lacked the ability and missed the chance.”
While not as effective as killing them to lower their divine rank, the other authorities’ infiltration into their bodies will require enormous time and effort to purify. At the very least, they will not see those enemies again during this war. “For now, we ended with the advantage, and we stole a great deal of vitality, so there won’t be problems for a while.” The only issue is how to vent his frustration on the direct Main Gods who stood there stupidly without earning any merit during that golden opportunity.
