The Perils of a Beautiful Boy God
The Dimensional and War God let out a deep sigh, utterly baffled by the war with the Substitute Race. The sight of him doing so was that of an exquisitely beautiful divine youth taking a light yet substantial breath. When he furrowed his brow, it created a dreamy, almost murmuring expression. Even in his own eyes, this was beauty and cuteness taken to an excessive degree. This is not the appearance of the Root School black mage who dominates the battlefield. What the hell is this? Just what?
The Dimensional and War God gripped the mirror, pondering for a long time on how to resolve the situation. He had no idea that his appearance was so breathtaking that even the demon gods hostile to the divine race would lose their souls staring at him.
After much deliberation, he reached a conclusion. This has no answer. Let’s just go back. It was a rational decision. After all, becoming younger was not a crime, and his looks were hardly unpleasant, so he decided to return as he was.
That mindset lasted only until he opened the dimensional gate to the Divine Realm and reached the main entrance.
“Little one. This is a Goddess Only area, you know? Wait, but if it’s you, I suppose it’s fine. Where are you from? Shall big sister buy you something delicious? Can I… can I hug you for just a moment?”
“……”
The senior angel in charge of the Divine Realm’s main gate—whom he had considered relatively cool-headed and competent—approached with a face flushed bright red. It was already giving him a headache. To make matters worse, more and more goddesses were whispering among themselves as they drew closer.
Whether captivated by the intense divine power he emanated even without displaying his dimensional wings, or by his impossibly cute and beautiful appearance, every goddess’s face was flushed red with excitement.
It was an oversight on his part. He had underestimated the attractive aura that came with an intermediate Main God’s appearance and the natural presence of such potent divine power. At this rate, I have no idea where I might end up kidnapped. Those are truly dangerous eyes. Sometimes I genuinely doubt whether these are the goddesses of light.
Even now, many of them had eyes sparkling with frightening intensity, and their numbers kept growing—already threatening to surpass several dozen.
Whoosh—!
He unfurled his thirteen pairs of dimensional wings in a brilliant display. The senior angel’s eyes widened. This wave of divine power belonged to the top-priority target for security monitoring.
“The Dimensional and War God announces his return from mercenary god support duty. Notify the Main God Temple at once! This is my true form, so proceed with re-registration in the Divine Realm.”
“Yessir! Notification will be sent immediately!”
An incredibly cute and beautiful divine child was issuing authoritative commands to a senior angel. The goddesses were left stunned as he spread the thirteen pairs of light wings—proof of his Main God status—and soared toward the Main God Temple.
“Is that really the Dimensional and War God? I heard he was a transcendent who started as a dark mage?”
“That appearance is completely that of a pure-blooded divine race, though?”
“And what’s with that adorable face?”
“He said it was his true form, right? It’s definitely not a transformation?”
The goddesses swarmed the management office at the main gate, demanding verification through the divine race authenticator. In the end, the senior angel hurriedly checked and spoke.
“The divine power waveform matches perfectly. It is indeed the true form.”
“That’s impossible—! If the God of Combat looks this cute, it’s a crime—!”
In their minds, the Dimensional and War God was a savage, barbaric God of Combat wrapped in fighting spirit who had triumphed after a brutal battle against the Substitute Race. He was also the ruffian who completely ignored female-only zones and hung every protester upside down.
When the Goddess Department collectively threatened him, he supposedly planted the Lord Slayer Spear right beside their heads.
He was the War God who threatened to kill anyone who annoyed him.
Everyone in the Divine Realm knew that he had dueled the Main God of the Divine Realm the moment he registered as a Main God. After the battle with the Substitute Race, even the primordial Gods of Combat had admitted they were no match for this mighty being. And now that same powerful Main God had returned in the perfect form of a boy god—possessing the 4.5 billion divine power of an intermediate Main God.
“Haah! This is a headache in its own way.”
On his way to his personal temple, the Dimensional and War God realized the female gods must have issued an approach prohibition order against him. Yet the goddesses following him were relentless. Even though his thirteen pairs of wings clearly proved his status as a Main God, the high-ranking goddesses only hesitated briefly before hurrying after him.
“Wait, which Main God are you? Could we speak for just a moment?”
“Please, just a second!”
“Are you truly the Dimensional and War God? That can’t be right?”
Those calling out to him were at minimum top-tier goddesses possessing nine pairs of wings or more. They know my divine power signature yet still shamelessly follow.
Deciding it would be best to fly quickly, shake them off, and enter his personal temple, he accelerated. He opened the gate and slipped inside. Voices calling after him echoed from behind, but he ignored them completely. He had neither the time nor the patience to deal with those goddesses right now.
Changing your attitude just because someone’s appearance changed—there has to be a limit.
He opened the door to the personal temple he had sealed during his mercenary god support period and resealed it thoroughly to avoid any further annoyance.
As he walked through the massive adamantium Main God temple, the sensation of vitality pouring in to replenish and strengthen his divine power felt distinctly different from before.
An astonishing recovery speed. This current body is completely that of a divine race member who has fully attained divinity. The human or transcendent aspects are almost entirely absent.
Compared to the past, magic power recovered more slowly, but the absorption of divine power and vitality was far greater. The pleasure his body felt from absorbing vitality was intense enough to be alarming. It was easy to see now why the female gods would enter an excited state if they failed to block the influx of vitality upon entering this temple.
“So members of the divine race feel this kind of pleasure when rapidly absorbing vitality? That explains why everyone struggled with it. I’ll have to stay vigilant.”
Still, pain and pleasure were merely physical sensations. As a black mage of the Root School, he had mastered sensory control.
If necessary, one must sacrifice limbs to cast body magic. Hesitating from pain for even an instant means death—it’s basic knowledge. Suppressing pleasure by controlling the nerves is nothing at all.
He lightly calmed the excitatory sensations in his central nervous system and sat down in the central chair of the audience chamber. Then he took out the mirror once more and examined his reflection.
Just why do the goddesses lose their minds over this appearance?
Sitting upon a throne of brilliant jewels and adamantium, illuminating his thirteen pairs of blazing golden wings, he looked nothing like the black mage of the past who had fought relying solely on borrowed divine power. His black-gold hair shimmered with an almost golden luster, and the child’s face—even he had to admit was excessively cute—created an almost unreal atmosphere. His petite frame and slender limbs even carried an androgynous charm.
In short, he was an extremely cute and captivating divine race boy god. The immense divine power he possessed had shaped his appearance into one of peerless beauty.
“Tsk—! No matter how much a god’s appearance is proportional to their divine power, this is simply too much.”
It was the state of a newly born divine child. The divine aspects that had been suppressed by the black mage’s powerful magic power were now fully emerging for the first time.
The purest and clearest divine power that endured the magic is manifesting in the body, creating this beautiful boy’s appearance and aura.
In his current, freshly born state, he was a pure and beautiful divine race boy god that would draw admiration from anyone who saw him.
“Ah, whatever! To strengthen both my divine power and divine body, I need to maintain this form.”
Divine power is not entirely the ‘positive’ mental energy offered by believers. True divine power comes from the god himself through the strength of ‘positive’ thoughts, mental training, and physical reinforcement. Depending on one’s training, the god itself grows stronger, and everything around grants him power. That is the true innate divine power; everything else is merely secondary. Therefore, fully reveal yourself and lead the entire world in a ‘positive’ direction. Of course, strengthening the body and mind to control divine power is essential. The implementation plan is, first, always deploy and maintain maximum divine power while simultaneously performing rapid consumption and recovery to expand the body’s durability and size. Lead the world in a ‘positive’ direction through your very existence.
It was an orthodox, proper method for improving divine power that anyone would recognize as correct.
“Tsk—! The words sound so easy. Who doesn’t already know this?”
While magic power could be gathered by focusing on demonic energy at the Magic Tower in the Great Forest, divine power demanded the complete opposite—maximally influencing the surroundings in a positive way. The more one contributed to the world, the stronger one’s divine power would become. It was an extremely correct principle.
It’s highly theoretical and basic. And it is certainly a stable shortcut. But how many gods can actually live that way all the time? Most compromise with harsh reality. It’s more convenient to use one’s surroundings than to polish oneself.
Because increasing innate divine power was so difficult, even he had once considered simply increasing his number of followers. Reading the Creator God’s book made him shake his head. As expected, the true royal road lay in the fundamentals.
“I thought a being like the Creator God would have some secret technique like the goddesses’ Vow of Devotion. But as expected, the highest realms return to the basics.”
He felt ashamed for having inwardly hoped for a shortcut like the Devotion Pledge.
It’s not false information. Even that grinning Creator God was clearly filled with righteous divine power. It was light divine power built up step by step without any tricks.
It was ‘positive’ divine power on a completely different level from the Sly Raccoon Main God of the Divine Realm. Within it swirled an unshakable conviction.
“There’s no helping it. From now on, I will save more lives than I have killed. The more lives I save, the more my divine power will increase. The more my very existence becomes ‘positive,’ the more exponentially my divine power will grow. This is the true innate divine power of the Light Creator God. I must keep it in mind as well.”
That said, he had no intention of tolerating the arrogant Absolute Beings of the Middle World who dared try to match him.
I know plenty of ways to achieve my goals without killing. I also decline to allow the fall of the Demon Holy City.
In his view, demigods and transcendents avoided the Divine Realm’s control by using their heads to maintain a façade of ‘good.’ But when pressed, they instantly flipped to ‘evil.’
I will clean them up before their influence and the resulting damage grow too large.
He took out the Creator’s Jewel and released the ten-circle level Absolute Beings from the Demon Holy City contained within it.
Thud—! Pop—!
The female Absolute Beings bounced out from the jewel, their figures blurring for an instant. Then they covered the space before him and attacked. All one hundred of them unleashed every maximum attack they could the moment they emerged. It was extremely efficient and fast.
Impressive. Against ten-circle opponents, I would struggle to defeat more than ten of them.
They truly lived up to being transcendents who had survived the demonification of the Demon Holy City.
Quick decisions and swift action. It means they would be freed if only their owner—me—dies.
That was certainly the case. He had absolutely no intention of sacrificing himself for anyone else’s freedom.
“Stop.”
Crack—! Thud—!
The sound of space distorting and air freezing echoed through the audience chamber. At his command, every attack and movement from the female transcendents froze in midair.
As the Creator God said, the control is flawless.
When he reexamined the divine power and magic power binding their bodies, he found layer upon layer of tremendous restrictions.
It’s not complete consciousness control, but it includes absolute action control according to commands and forced absolute loyalty recognition. There’s even forced synchronized annihilation—if I die, they disappear with me.
As expected of a titled Creator God, he had placed thorough controls on the female transcendents.
As expected of my senior, it’s quite vicious. Well, these beings running wild in the Middle World was one of the main reasons we lost to the demon race, so from the Creator God’s perspective this is probably mild. Above all, they are heinous sinners. Hehe—!
