Prologue - The Monster Within

There existed a university student who seemed perfectly ordinary from the ‍‍‌‌⁠​​⁠‌​​‍​​‍​‌​⁠‍‌‍⁠⁠‌⁠‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍⁠​‌​‌​‌‍‌‌‌⁠‍​​‌‍⁠‌‌⁠⁠outside. His name was Kang Geon. He had enrolled at twenty, mixing comfortably with classmates and upperclassmen, showing proper respect to his professors, and studying just enough to coast through. But beneath that unremarkable surface, something far darker stirred.

Violence. Sadism. An insatiable hunger for dominance. These urges coiled and writhed inside him like living things, aching to break free. He had already unleashed them several times during his teenage years whenever the chance arose. University life, however, offered no safe outlet, so he kept them leashed. One mistake could mean staring down prosecutors and judges.

That was why Kang Geon craved real power or wealth. With either in his grasp, he could indulge those buried desires without consequence. He figured it would take about five years to obtain them.

But his wish was granted far sooner than expected.
