The Greatest Asset
Before the question Why the hell is this woman here? could even fully form in his mind, she bolted upright.
"G-G-G-Good m-m-morning!!!"
Did she not feel the throbbing pain from tumbling over? Son Ji-hyun let out a shriek that could have been a scream or a greeting, then scurried away in a panic.
What's her deal?
Pushing his curiosity aside, Yunho stretched lazily—only to spot the popup from the Desire Fulfillment App lingering in the corner of his vision. His curiosity evaporated, replaced by a sudden rigidity in his body. With a creak, he looked down... and there it was, still proudly displaying its massive presence.
Oh shit.
Real oh shit.
He suddenly recalled the phrase "irresistible force" from the Lucky Skebe function description.
So that's what it meant... Fuck...
Park Gwanghyeok approached him.
"Big bro, you're up! Turns out you're the big boss. Total respect!!!"
Even Yunho, who loved showing off, couldn't revel in praise like this...
This... in this situation... it's not satisfying my exhibitionism—it's pure humiliation...
Feeling like he was chewing gravel, Yunho said to Park Gwanghyeok, "You. Keep this absolutely secret."
"Got it. But it's kinda pointless now, right? Dozens of people already saw it."
Wearing his comfy tracksuit pants that did nothing to hide the outline—and dozens had seen it?
"Wait, no one even threw a blanket over it?"
"I covered you the second I saw, but you kicked it right off. Must've been too hot, huh?"
"..."
He had no choice but to hang his head.
A few hours later, Yunho realized the truth.
As he left the dorm for breakfast, a passing girl spotted him, flinched, and whispered to her friend.
"That's the big bro...?"
"Looks handsome enough to be him?"
"Eek! Eye contact! Run, Minji!"
"...Hah."
Even on the bus back to Seoul with everyone gathered.
"Is this even fair...? Handsome face and that size down there..."
"This is our reality... What are us average guys supposed to do...?"
"...Haa."
And when the student council president—who'd fled after their morning encounter—came back and said, "Man, I knew it at a glance—you're a total big shot. A talent like you belongs in the student council. What do ya say?" before bolting again.
"...Haa, fuck."
He had no choice but to accept it. As some New York magazine editor once said, humans were inherently lascivious gossip-mongers by nature—and it was true. In just a few hours, rumors about him had spread across the entire business department.
And so, the business department's Kim Woobin became the business department's Big Bro.
He parted ways with Eunseo at the school gate. After last night's events, affection brimmed between them, and he'd wanted to walk her all the way home—but for the same reason as him, she could barely face him right now.
"O-O-Oppa! See you next time!"
Big Bro...? That must mean it's that impressive, right?
Yep, Oppa’s down there is suuuper huge!!
"Huuu..."
Embarrassment bowed his head and drew out a sigh. What was done was done—he decided to think positively. Yeah, so what if he was Big Bro? Better than Little Bro.
That thought stirred his exhibitionist urges peeking out. Right. No matter what, he just had to stay true to his desires.
He lifted his head. And in that vein, the time had come to claim Kim Youngae, whom he'd invested so much in, fully in his grasp.
Before he knew it, flames of desire burned in his eyes.
On the fifth day without seeing Song Yunho, Kim Youngae thought to herself,
When someone you saw every day suddenly vanishes, the emptiness is bigger than you expect.
He'd burrowed far deeper into her heart than she'd realized.
It felt hollow. A deeper loneliness than the early days of marriage—when she'd dreamed of blissful newlywed life only to watch her workaholic husband—engulfed her.
She stuck to her daily routine. She went to Esthetic Nonhyeon for a workout and beauty treatment.
"Unnie, wanna go shopping after the treatment today?"
Park Mi-jeong, a member of Youngae's social circle and longtime friend, asked her.
"Shopping? Maybe..."
Browsing and buying things might soothe the void.
"Unnie, who do you get massages from these days?"
"Me? Shim Uran."
"Ah, you switched back after Song Yunho quit. Too bad—he was the best."
"The best? At what?"
"What else? Just looking at him was great. Body like a tank. Didn't you always like fit guys, unnie?"
"Hey! That's ancient history."
"True, you've been all prim since marriage—no girl talk even among us. But I'm right, aren't I? You even said once you wished your hubby worked out."
Feeling her cheeks burn, Youngae replied, "Why do you remember that stuff?"
She couldn't recall the exact conversation, but she and Mi-jeong were close enough for intimate chats, so it was probably true.
"Handsome face, killer body—made you hot just looking. Shame he quit. Hehe."
Youngae recoiled at Mi-jeong's blunt simplicity.
Hot just looking...?
A phrase she'd never utter aloud from sheer embarrassment. Yet she sometimes envied Mi-jeong's free spirit. In her mid-thirties, Mi-jeong stayed single, savoring life.
"You even switched to naming Song Yunho specifically. Admit it—you liked him too."
"Seriously!"
"I've always said it, unnie—you're too uptight. It's not cheating to say a guy's hot or charming. No need for self-censorship in this day and age."
Mi-jeong continued, "Anyway, I was gonna hit on him, but he quit. Bet he's killer in bed too. What a waste."
"You can tell that?"
"Totally. He's got that sexy vibe. Strong hips, y'know? Thirty-five years of life experience says he's packing. Should've sampled it. Sigh."
Mi-jeong's explicit words set Youngae's face ablaze. She couldn't bring herself to say it—that she'd already tangled bodies with that man Mi-jeong regretted missing dozens of times.
After treatments, Youngae and Mi-jeong hit the department store. Spotting a child holding their mother's hand, Youngae's gaze locked on.
"Unnie, if you love kids that much, just adopt one."
Mi-jeong teased as Youngae watched the kid wistfully.
"...No."
Youngae shook her head. The child she wanted was one born of her blood and the man she loved.
Shopping done, Youngae returned home.
Beep. Ring.
The front door lock clicked open, revealing the spacious living room. Despite its warm tones, it felt unusually chilly and empty today.
Then her smartphone buzzed. The caller: her father, one of the people she loved most.
"Yes, Dad."
"Yeah, my girl. Got a sec?"
"Yes. I'm home now."
"Uh-huh, nothing big. Just wanna have a family dinner tomorrow—been too long since I saw my girl. Bring Park too."
Married and living independently, Youngae still met her parents nearly monthly—thanks to her doting father.
His voice, always brimming with affection and warmth. Devoted not just to his daughter but his wife too, earning him the "henpecked hubby" rep among friends.
Before marriage, she'd dreamed of finding a man like him—sharing her parents' love, raising their child in happiness.
"Honey? Tomorrow evening too tough? Park got plans?"
For some reason, tears pricked her eyes. She answered hastily.
"No. I'll check with hubby. He loves seeing you, Dad."
"Filial son-in-law through and through! Heh, I picked a good one."
"Anyway, talk tomorrow."
Call ended, Youngae pondered her father briefly. He'd turned inherited wealth into a business empire—yet balanced it with unmatched family devotion. She took immense pride in him.
Her husband had been his subordinate. Around age ten, after a big deal, her euphoric father hosted drinks at home—that's when she first met him. Polite and kind, he'd unconsciously struck her as just like Dad.
The start of her crush.
But...
Youngae sighed.
He wasn't like Dad at all.
She called her husband to relay Dad's invite.
"Father-in-law? Got it. Tell him tomorrow works. Nah, I'll call him now."
Click.
No tender word for his wife—yet eager for father-in-law. To Dad, a capable employee; to young Youngae, an idol. But as a husband? Far from ideal.
She hadn't realized until recently—or rather, she'd known but denied it. Now, she accepted the truth.
