Wonderful Days (5)
1. A new morning dawned.
“Ugh!!!”
His head throbbed, and he pressed a hand to his forehead as he barely managed to prop himself up. He must have overdone it last night. Swayed by Seohae’s innocently seductive figure, he’d spent the whole night pouring his seed into her. Even for Yuchan, five times in one night took a toll on the body. She’d held out somehow through the first three climaxes, but from the fourth onward, she’d gone limp, her limbs flailing unconsciously. That sight had been lewd enough in its own way to drive him wild.
Yuchan blocked the hazy sunlight filtering through with his hand and groped around beside the bed.
“Hm?”
Seohae, who had fallen asleep next to him, was gone. A glance out the window revealed no sign of her. Maybe she was in the shower? He checked the bathroom, but it was empty. Finally, he slid open the partition door that doubled as a wall between the bedroom and kitchen.
“Oh, you’re awake?”
There was the kitchen. And in it, bathed in sunlight like a blessing, stood Seohae. Her light brown hair sparkled almost blond, and she wore an apron, gripping a spatula with obvious enthusiasm.
Yuchan let out a quiet sigh. He didn’t much like others touching his cooking utensils. Even Harin had broken several of his plates.
With an uneasy glance over her shoulder, he asked, “What’re you doing?”
“Hm, preparing breakfast.”
Breakfast, huh. That explained the smell...
“Doenjang jjigae?”
“Correct! Plus steamed eggs, stir-fried kimchi, fresh salad, and more.”
No wonder he’d woken up a few times early in the morning to the sounds of cooking. On the other hand, it was a bit surprising. From her delicate looks, he’d pegged her as the type who’d never gotten her hands wet in the kitchen.
Seohae hummed a cheerful tune as if her lascivious display last night had been a lie, scooping doenjang jjigae with a wooden ladle to check the taste.
“Just a bit longer to simmer.”
“You can cook too?”
“I might look like a pampered young lady from a wealthy family, but I’ve been living alone for two years.”
True enough. On this remote island, she’d need some culinary skills to get by. With barely any decent delivery options, she couldn’t eat out every day without knowing how to make something like doenjang jjigae.
A glance at the clock showed it was just past 10 a.m. Even allowing an hour for prep, she must have started at 9.
“You got up early.”
“I had to go home for the doenjang and seasonings, so yeah, around 7~”
Like a wife who pleases her husband at night and gets a delicious breakfast in return? She wasn’t much of a morning person, yet she’d gone all the way home and back. He’d cooked for plenty of others but had never been served like this; the feeling was oddly novel.
“Doenjang jjigae in the room might be a bit much, smell-wise?”
“You think? Yeah, it’s cramped, so the odor wouldn’t clear...”
Conveniently, there was a portable camping table on top of the camper. The sun was out, so the rainwater from last night had dried nicely.
“When it’s ready, come outside. I’ll set the table.”
“Okay~~~!”
Ten minutes later, they sat facing each other across the table.
“Hee hee, this is Seohae’s special seafood doenjang jjigae.”
She put her hands on her hips, declaring it proudly as if she’d invented it herself. The fridge had been sparse after days without restocking, but she’d made do with impressive resourcefulness.
“You’re beaming with pride.”
“Hee hee, I wanted a compliment from you.”
“Don’t get your hopes up. My tastes are picky.”
She was spouting embarrassingly sweet nonsense out of nowhere, though she hadn’t been like this before. Beaming, she refused to eat until he did, watching him with eager eyes.
With no choice, he picked up a spoon from the table and took a sip of the doenjang jjigae.
“It’s good.”
Surprisingly so. Against his expectation that it’d be amateurish at best, this doenjang jjigae ranked high among those he’d had—free of the artificial aftertaste from store-bought stuff.
“I added dried scallops for depth, made the broth with clams and shrimp, and loaded it with chopped green chilies for that spicy kick.”
She gazed at him like a puppy wagging its tail, well done? Her expression must have given away how much he liked it, because before he could even comment, she rattled off the details proudly.
It was more than a “little” spicy, bordering on too strong for breakfast, but he wasn’t so tactless as to say that.
“You really made this?”
“I did! Try the steamed eggs too.”
Like the doenjang jjigae, they were in a rough stoneware dish. They met his raised expectations just as well.
“Hee hee, I mixed in a bit of milk instead of just water with the eggs.”
That alone made them this creamy? He was quietly impressed. Most surprising, though, was Seohae’s unexpectedly capable domestic side.
“This is good too. So, what brought this on?”
“Hm?” She tilted her head, a half-beat slow to catch his meaning as usual.
“I wanted to wake you with a surprise bang! But you just got up on your own.”
“That’s it?”
“Well... I kinda wanted to play the blushing bride on her honeymoon.”
She stuck out her tongue shyly and grinned—that awkward smile she made when embarrassed. He ignored her, not wanting to respond, but she just kept chuckling happily.
Only after he’d sampled everything did Seohae start eating. Since she’d made breakfast, washing up fell to him.
2. Three days later, summer was slipping away. The chill in the air against his skin made it all too real. The weather followed the calendar, cooling down as summer reached its end, eyeing autumn. Still, days stayed warm. Nights could be cold enough for visible breath, yet the sun sometimes turned the air stifling.
The sky was a brilliant blue, so clear and vast it seemed endless. On such a fine day, Yuchan was stuck fixing a bicycle.
Using tools from the camper, he’d secured the wobbly rear seat and replaced the rusty chain that barely turned. His hands were filthy with grease, but thankfully none had stained his clothes yet—a small mercy.
He wasn’t handy with machines, but bikes were simple enough with the right parts. He’d put off fixing it purely out of laziness. Why bother when a girl came scampering to the camper for sex whenever he lounged there?
Seohae should be arriving soon, he thought, but she hadn’t shown. Not lighthouse time either, so probably at home.
“Oops...”
He readjusted the slipping wrench and tinkered with the chain again. Keeping promises like this could lead to more demands later—not a total loss.
Finally, he spun the pedals to check power transfer. The chain whirred around the crank, spinning the rear wheel smoothly. Done. After three hours—practically rebuilding it from scratch—the repair was complete.
As if on cue, Seohae appeared, trotting over like she was skipping rope before tripping on the grass and face-planting with a thud. Grass cushioned the fall, no big deal. Yuchan had learned from experience: overreacting to every clumsy stunt would wear anyone out.
She got up alone, brushed dirt from her knees and clothes, and walked to the camper.
“That reaction’s too much. Don’t people at least ask if you’re okay out of courtesy?”
He considered responding but held back—it’d just get silly. Pouting harder at his silence, Seohae spotted the pristine bike.
“Whoa, you finally fixed the bicycle?”
“Less fixed, more rebuilt.”
“I figured you’d never do it, and regret it forever after I died. ‘I should’ve fixed it for her, waaah~’”
“Won’t happen.”
He snorted at her melodramatic act and gave the frame a final check. Old and heavy, but rideable now.
“Hop on. I’ll give you a ride. Follow me.”
“Wait, don’t I look different?”
Her tone was unusually bubbly as she spread her arms slightly, blocking his path. Now that he noticed, she was wearing a school uniform. Crisp white short-sleeve shirt, short plaid skirt, pink-and-white straight tie—a textbook middle school outfit. It suited her perfectly, despite her usual casual wear. That’s why he hadn’t clocked the change right away.
Personally, it hit all the right fetish buttons.
“What do you think? It’s my old middle school uniform.”
She spun in place, the skirt’s trim fluttering modestly. No oversized hat either, so her bright smile shone under the sun, making her look like any ordinary student.
Speaking of which, it still fit her from middle school.
“I’m the cute new transfer student, Seohae! I’ve been away for treatments, so school life might be awkward—take care of me!”
She saluted sloppily, her tone so spirited it felt like a real classroom with a desk up front.
“What do you think?”
She flashed a mischievous boyish grin. He clapped lightly.
“Great self-introduction.”
She beamed idiotically, teeth flashing, and threw up a V-sign with two fingers. Make her do that during sex later, he thought.
“Anyway, what’s with the uniform? Starting school?”
“To go on a date in it. I just planned to show it off today, but you already fixed the bike. Couldn’t wait to date me, huh?”
Bouncing excitedly, Seohae suddenly staggered as if tripping over her own feet. She acted normal, but lately, he’d sensed her health declining. Not that she showed symptoms in front of him or anything dramatic—just intuition whispering that their time together was running short.
Yuchan shook off the nagging thoughts.
“Fine, then in exchange...”
His suggestive tone made her frown instantly. She was clueless about this stuff before, but she’d gotten sharper. Well, he’d demanded morning blowjobs every time she showed up early.
“A date after all this prep, and you want that?”
“You went all out. A little reward first isn’t bad.”
“Fine, whatever. Let’s go in.”
She approached, stroking the bulge already straining in his pants. His gray sleep pants let the heat transmit straight through.
“The uniform got you this hard? Total perv. And you’re an old guy.”
Smirking smugly, she earned a whisper from him:
“No going in. Suck it here.”
Stunned by his outlandish demand, she stared. Yuchan savored that look. She’d been shocked, embarrassed, and ultimately obedient—just as always.
“You’re insane, right?”
“Perfectly normal. Hurry up. We’ve got biking to do.”
“Haa... fine.”
With a dramatic sigh, Seohae knelt on the plush grass like it was a rug.
