# Prologue
## Prologue. The Unit of Thought
I made a lot of money.
They say that the left hand should not let the right hand know how much it has earned.
I'll get into the details little by little.
With luck, effort, and a little talent, I made a small snowball.
I instinctively set it rolling. And that was how I built a net worth of 9 trillion won.
Then, at some point, I suddenly had a feeling.
I felt that the cycle of civilization was approaching some kind of critical point.
'Perhaps a moment will come when everything becomes meaningless.'
To survive,
I decided to prepare for a dignified survival.
Natural disasters, war, famine, viruses, and
every possible exception.
'Secret and magnificent.'
A submarine!
I decided to build a submarine, using every bit of my capabilities.
On the surface,
I would have to come up with a plausible reason for it. There would be plenty of political and social obstacles as well. But as a mobile secret hideout, there was nothing quite like a submarine.
A submarine that could hide in the deep sea even if a typhoon came, a nuclear war broke out, or zombies overran the world.
It would become the final ark.
There was a lot to do.
For the first time in a long while, I began to feel a certain excitement and sense of awakening.

It was all thanks to HWS.
Detecting the rapidly rising ORI, a signal was transmitted to everyone.
Without a single person being left behind,
we boarded the submarine ARK.
We departed for the TMSH (Tihik Maritime Science Hub) base.
We had to pass through Okinawa and then cross the South China Sea,
and for safety, we had to remain submerged in the deep sea for more than seven days.
The boredom of being submerged made me look back on the past. And in order to overcome the fear of isolation, I began recording the story of how I—or rather, we—survived.

Since revealing detailed explanations in advance could diminish the enjoyment, I have omitted them.

This work is often criticized for having a long and boring buildup in the early stages.
For those who want a faster-paced development,
I will point out which episodes can be skipped, while avoiding spoilers as much as possible.
Episode 8 - Somalia: The episode immediately before the first battle scene.
Episode 23 - Lee Hoe-young: The episode where you can first learn the specifications of the submarine.
I believe you should read at least up to Episode 23, and preferably from around Episode 30 onward,
as that will help you understand the various incidents that follow.
