Foxplay in the Training Room
Kim Heejin and Seo Harang were in the physical training room right now.
There was no special reason for it. It was simply the most familiar place for the two of them.
No one else was inside. It had always been quiet, but today the entire space felt completely deserted, like it had been rented out.
“It’s been a while since there’s been absolutely no one inside. It feels really long.”
“Hmm? …Well, I put up a notice on the door saying not to come in because I wanted to talk about something important.”
That was why the physical training room was so quiet today.
On the A4 paper nailed right to the closed door, the words [오면 뒤짐] were printed in bold black letters, looking genuinely intimidating. Anyone who knew Kim Heejin’s personality would turn around and leave. Not just the juniors, but the seniors too!
Kim Heejin quietly glanced at Seo Harang, who had created such a peaceful atmosphere in the room.
“So what was it? You wanted me to teach you training? Foxplay? Does that mean moving like a fox?”
“That’s not it. I meant exactly what I said. Foxplay.”
Kim Heejin’s heart skipped a beat. Her heart was now racing at the slightest little gesture from Seo Harang.
But she wanted to admit it this time.
Foxplay! That was the word Seo Harang had used! How could she not feel flustered and unable to catch her breath!?
“Then I’ll start right away. You can tell me what it feels like and what parts I should improve.”
“What!? Right now!?”
“There’s no time to overthink it… Did you prepare anything? Ah! Maybe I need a role? Then…”
Seo Harang paused for a moment, deep in thought. Kim Heejin, on the other hand, felt like she was staring down an unstoppable truck.
Seo Harang always charged straight at the toughest challenges without hesitation. That was why Kim Heejin decided to just go with the flow and not interrupt.
…No! Absolutely not! In truth, she had never wanted to melt into foxplay at all! She never wished for Seo Harang to do something like this!
Kim Heejin was frantically making up excuses in her head for whoever this was being done to, waiting for Seo Harang to open her mouth.
“How about this? Imagine we’re two superhumans who went out to dinner, got a little tipsy, and came out first.”
“…Whatever you want.”
Kim Heejin chose not to comment on how strange the situation felt.
She didn’t want to point it out and have Seo Harang back down with a shy “Ah… I see,” which would have been a huge headache.
She had to make the most of this time!
“Then… let’s pretend we’re standing right in front of the entrance to a store.”
She set the entrance like that. This felt like children playing house! It was actually nice. Let’s even pretend to get married.
She was thinking those thoughts internally, but her expression remained completely normal, just like always.
Kim Heejin had gone through hell and come out the other side. She could manage her expression even with her eyes closed!
“Then…”
Seo Harang’s cheek brushed against Kim Heejin’s shoulder.
“Hik!”
Her expression collapsed instantly. Kim Heejin jumped with a start, her whole body trembling.
—Thud!
“Ugh…”
The shoulder that had suddenly been lifted was slammed directly into Seo Harang’s chin. Her head jerked back sharply.
“Eh! Hey! Sorry! I’m really sorry!”
“N-no, I’m fine. I just got startled.”
“No, that’s not okay. Are you really okay? Did something go wrong? Or did you faint?”
“I’m really okay. You didn’t use your powers, and I have some body skills awakened too.”
“That’s a relief. Tsk, sorry for nothing.”
“I’m really okay! If you’re truly sorry, please adjust your acting.”
Seo Harang’s sincere request had an incredible effect!
Kim Heejin, who had never planned to half-ass it, answered that she understood. She was ready to stop if the mood turned bad, but Seo Harang looked fine, so she stayed calm.
“Okay, go ahead. I’ll let you lead.”
“Um… What we did just now was already part of it. How was it?”
“The part just now?”
“The light touch on the shoulder…”
Ah! Now that I think about it, yeah!
Seo Harang normally never initiated body contact first. Her action had been another part of foxplay, she explained.
The effect? It was too overwhelming, and it was actually a problem.
Kim Heejin didn’t want sudden skinship like that. Just watching from the side was enough.
“Anything else besides that? No other tricks?”
“Other tricks?”
“Yeah, like… some flirting.”
Seo Harang’s large eyes blinked quickly. Even though they were sharp, slow blinks made time seem to drag.
“Flirting? Senior Jeong Seung-ah said something similar earlier too.”
“Jeong Seung-ah?”
“Yes. I don’t know why she would flirt with me and then just ignore it.”
“…So you did this with Senior Jeong Seung-ah?”
“Did what…? Ah, yes. I asked Senior Jeong Seung-ah for her opinion. It wasn’t particularly meaningful, though.”
Kim Heejin knew that Jeong Seung-ah thought Seo Harang was adorable, but she never imagined it would go this far.
Of course, it was possible they felt the same way. But there was still a lingering sting of jealousy over losing the lead.
Zip.
Kim Heejin pulled the zipper of her jersey all the way up.
“…Why didn’t you tell me first?”
She pulled it up with her mouth as well and grumbled.
The rough voice that slipped inside the fabric never reached Seo Harang’s ears. It was too quiet, even to be drowned out by the small breeze outside.
“Senior Kim Heejin… are you feeling cold?”
“Eh? What…”
Her heart felt cold.
Just as she thought of such an absurd line, something warm brushed lightly against her shoulder.
It smelled sweet. The scent that made hearts flutter and stir the soul.
“This…”
Kim Heejin looked toward Seo Harang.
Because she was a little taller, she had to look up slightly.
The black hair swayed gently in the perfect timing of the wind. The long strands spread out like a curtain.
Seo Harang smiled without saying a word.
In this moment, that action was unfair. The best choice to enchant someone.
The black sky whipping in the wind. The gleaming black stars between them. The delicate crescent moon. The fragrant spring breeze. All of it blocked Kim Heejin’s only escape route.
“…One point.”
“One point?”
“Points. Out of ten, it’s one point.”
“Why!? …?”
Seo Harang shouted first and added honorifics later. In normal times she would have joked, “Don’t use such vague language with me!” but she had no room for that now with Kim Heejin.
“You did that instead of foxplay. It’s the complete opposite.”
“Ah!”
A sigh of deep realization.
Seo Harang nodded as if she had understood something after hearing Kim Heejin’s words.
“Now that I think about it, this direction might actually be okay too.”
“…In the cool direction?”
“Yes! With my looks, this side seems more fitting!”
Of course, keeping her mouth shut would have been the best.
That’s why she had more questions.
Who the heck was this being done to? Why was she trying to flirt with someone else instead of me?
“…So?”
“So?”
“Who?”
Seo Harang rolled her eyes. Who? What did that even mean?
She wanted to ask directly, but Kim Heejin hated being asked twice. She had to figure it out through deduction.
“Did you start liking someone?”
…She didn’t need to deduce it. Kim Heejin had already answered.
A slightly gruff tone. The zipper pulled all the way up, hiding her mouth. But this time, the voice was loud enough to hear.
“Liking someone?”
“Don’t make me say it twice.”
“Ah! Sorry! I thought you said liking someone, but there’s no way I…”
Seo Harang paused for a moment.
No! Don’t say that! Say no!
Kim Heejin never imagined the person being liked was her.
In truth, it really wasn’t her.
If it was a human crush, fine, but liking in another sense was something she couldn’t even imagine with the Seo Harang in front of her now.
“I like Senior Kim Heejin.”
That’s why she could say it so easily.
“What.”
That’s why she could misunderstand so easily.
“I said it, right? I decided to only like Senior Kim Heejin.”
“…Hey, Seo Harang.”
“Superhuman Seo Harang?”
“You go around so defenselessly, I really don’t know what you’ll end up with.”
“Oh! Was I defenseless? That’s exactly what I was aiming for.”
“…I really don’t get it. Don’t groan about it later.”
She could handle it if she wanted to.
Of course, the words above had been pushed down by Kim Heejin’s mouth.
That was truly her last line of defense. She had to protect it with everything she had because she didn’t know if the person in front of her would be positive or negative about love between women.
Kim Heejin would have loved it if she knew how much effort she was putting in. Thanks to her perfect expression management, her true feelings were hidden behind the mask of “a worrying senior.”
“Thank you. I think I can understand how it feels, at least.”
“Eh… Well, then that’s a relief.”
Seo Harang looked refreshed after getting her worries out, while Kim Heejin felt like she was dying inside. She still couldn’t get used to it!
Her intuition screamed ‘she’s coming soon! Prepare yourself!’, and her head followed. She tensed her body and prepared her heart completely.
Yet she still couldn’t get used to Seo Harang’s approach and the subtle skinship. Every single time it was just that annoying sound—pik! pyeok!
But now it was over. It was finally over. This time of suffering was over.
“For now, this should be enough.”
“It’s over?”
“Yes! Thank you again!”
She felt both relieved and slightly disappointed at the same time.
When Seo Harang said she had ended it without hesitation, a pouty feeling filled Kim Heejin’s chest.
“I’ll definitely return the favor later! Ah, I should note it on my phone.”
But the word “return” softened her spite a little. Even she thought it was over the top.
“I have to note it. That’s how I said it.”
“Ah! Sorry. I’ll note it.”
“It looks nice now.”
Just as they were finishing the conversation without mixing personal feelings, Seo Harang’s gaze was fixed on one spot—Kim Heejin’s shoulder.
“Can I get the jersey back?”
“No? I’m not giving it back.”
“Eh.”
“I won’t give it back because I hate seeing you act cool and cute while dragging the senior around.”
“I wasn’t acting cute…”
The tail end of that sentence had made Kim Heejin’s mouth twitch.
It was fun to tease her once, and it would probably make her keep doing it.
It was a mischievous addictive thing that turned people into bad girls.
Of course, she wasn’t really planning to keep it. Still, if she loved it so much, she had to give it back.
‘I feel bad trying to take advantage of the senior, so I should drag it out a bit more.’
Kim Heejin was complaining to herself even while she knew she wanted to stay longer with Seo Harang.
