The Dao Protector: Black-Robed Master of the Children
As long as the conditions were right, Qin Changqing never skimped—always choosing the best aptitude for his children.
Especially now, within Taiqing Sect, where spirit stones were plentiful and only growing more abundant.
No question about it: Option Seven!
——
Qingyun Mansion was bustling these days. Beyond the children sent for enlightenment classes, their mothers frequently dropped by Qin Changqing's place. Some even stayed to keep their kids company.
And so, Qingyun Mansion brimmed with Taiqing Sect's most stunning fairies of every stripe. Spring colors bloomed in the gardens daily. Most tantalizingly, Qin Changqing was the only grown man there...
Watching the parade of alluring seductresses, charming temptresses, and cool ice queens gliding to and fro, Qin Changqing couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
This life of mine—even gods would envy it.
A single splash of green amid a sea of flowers. The real deal.
Still, he didn't dare offend a single one of these women. Their status in the sect was lofty, their cultivation at minimum the Foundation Establishment stage. Qin Changqing had to treat them all with utmost care.
"Fellow Daoist Changqing, I have some matters to discuss in detail. How about I visit you tonight?"
At the schoolhouse entrance, Qin Changqing watched each child get picked up by their fairy mothers when a voice transmission suddenly chimed in his ear.
He looked up to see a woman in a fiery red gauze dress winking slyly at him.
Qin Changqing blinked, a touch of helplessness in his heart.
This sort of thing was routine for him now. This one was at least polite enough to give advance notice.
Others were bolder—slipping into his room in the dead of night for a tumble.
By day, aloof and noble fairy s. But once in his chambers, they shed all pretense. Under Qin Changqing's "tutelage," they grew ever more uninhibited.
One or two at a time? Manageable. But with so Many fairies in Qingyun Mansion, and more than a few indulging, collisions were inevitable.
At first, they'd blush and scatter in embarrassment.
Later, with his room perpetually occupied, one finally pushed the door open and joined in.
Once the precedent was set, the rest cast aside restraint. Forget one or two—even four or five sharing the bed became commonplace.
Qin Changqing was exhausted yet thrilled, bearing the karma his system summoned as best he could.
Thankfully, the system's spirit qi absorption came with targeted buffs for him, or he'd never hold up.
He ramped up his spirit stone absorption and kicked off a second round of rain and dew evenly distributed.
Gradually, Many fairies' bellies swelled again. They simply moved in full-time. The mansion's spirit qi was rich, the environment idyllic, and they had such a gentle, attentive man for company—far better than monotonous seclusion.
Just a slice-of-life experience.
In the inner courtyard.
"Eldest Senior Sister, there are still parts of this Earth Escape technique I don't quite grasp. Could you offer some pointers?"
Qin Changqing humbly sought advice.
Nangong Die smiled. "Earth Escape is the most basic yet versatile of the Five Elements Escapes. You've only been cultivating it a short while—don't rush. Take it slow."
Qin Changqing wiped sweat from his brow. "My aptitude and cultivation are too low. I can only stockpile lifesaving escapes. If danger strikes, at least I can run fast."
Nangong Die pondered. "You have a point. But the path of escapes is vast and profound—mastering it quickly is tough... Here, take this Earth Spirit Pearl. Master gave it to me. It holds earthen spiritual essence, aiding faster comprehension of escapes and smoother execution."
With that, she pulled a yellowish-brown pearl from her storage pouch and handed it over.
Qin Changqing lit up with joy.
Five Elements treasures were rare and pricey in the cultivation world.
"What about you if you give it to me?" he demurred.
Nangong Die said earnestly, "Take it—no need to refuse. I've already reached proficiency in Five Elements Escapes; this pearl holds little use for me now."
Only then did Qin Changqing accept.
Over this period, beyond cultivation queries, he'd scored plenty of goodies from these fairies: spirit pills, array foundations, magic tools, spirit herbs, talismans—the works. These women sure had full arsenals.
As their affection for him grew under his "diligent companionship," they offered these gifts freely.
Now at Foundation Establishment himself, Qin Changqing had little use for many, but they were perfect for the kids.
In truth, every few days, he'd use the system's teleport to check on children facing hardship or peril. While bailing them out, he'd slip them the fairy' treasures.
Suddenly, Qin Changqing's eyelid twitched. Spotting the system's interface flashing red, he cupped his hands. "Senior Sister, something urgent came up. I must take my leave."
Nangong Die seemed a bit disappointed but smiled. "Go handle it. I should return to cultivation anyway."
Back in his room, Qin Changqing swiftly activated the protective barrier, then opened the system interface.
Your son Qin Qiming has been injured in a spar with fellow sect members.
"My son's hurt!" Qin Changqing grew anxious. He donned his black robe and activated system teleport.
Taixuan Sect!
In an empty courtyard, Qin Qiming swung his longsword, spirit qi surging erratically. His heart was clearly in turmoil.
"My swordsmanship outstrips his by far. If not for that treasure gap, how could I lose?!"
Anger etched Qin Qiming's face.
Suddenly, white light flashed in the yard. Qin Changqing appeared, cloaked in black robes and masked.
"Master!"
Qin Qiming froze, then rushed over joyfully—only to grunt as he tugged his wound.
Qin Changqing's heart ached, but he stood firm, expression aloof, the picture of a worldly hermit.
This wasn't his first visit to Qin Qiming. He posed as the boy's esteemed master. Past encounters found Qin Qiming diligently cultivating, often into the night, specializing in sword arts with real talent.
Qin Changqing offered pointers—though clueless himself. He'd query those Nascent Soul Fairy on the boy's issues, relay their wisdom, and sprinkle in profundities from his past life's fantasy dramas and novels. Full of gravitas.
To the perceptive, even casual words sparked enlightenment. Under his guidance, Qin Qiming's swordsmanship had soared.
"From your look, someone gave you another thrashing?"
Qin Changqing asked coolly.
Rage flickered across Qin Qiming's face. "Master, it's not my fault. His magic treasure was too superior—I couldn't even engage properly. His sword insights lag far behind mine. Without that treasure edge, this disciple wouldn't have lost!"
