For the release, I'll start with a ten-chapter burst, totaling 30,000 to 40,000 words.
This release word count, while not huge, isn't at the bottom of the barrel either. Let's just say it's about average.
After that, there will be a fixed daily update of two chapters. Each chapter will be between 3,000 and 4,000 words, meaning a base daily update of 7,000 words.
For every two hundred monthly tickets, I'll release an extra chapter. (Monthly tickets from before the premium release also count.)
A 'Lord' level donation will get two bonus chapters. (Though I'm a new author and don't expect any, I'm still hoping a whale will grace me with their presence.)
I asked my editor about the follow-up readership numbers. They said the first-day subscriptions should be at least a thousand. So, let's use a thousand first-day subscriptions as the baseline. For every additional 100 subscriptions, I'll add one bonus chapter. For an extra five hundred subscriptions, I'll add six bonus chapters.
Bonus chapters will also be 3,000 to 4,000 words each, no cutting corners.
The total number of bonus chapters will be calculated the day after the release and posted in the "Author's Note" of the latest chapter for all readers to see and hold me accountable.
