Creation Talent
“Congratulations on entering the path of the Creator God, Kim Jihun.”
Kim Jihun stared at the being before him—Asrie, the Creator God—with a bewildered expression.
“Ugh...”
He groaned.
It had just been moments ago that Kim Jihun had unlocked material creation through the Creator God Manual, overflowing with joy and awe.
Then, suddenly, she had appeared.
Asrie was someone he had met once before, so Kim Jihun tried to stay composed. Or rather, he wanted to.
But he couldn’t.
He was overwhelmed by the divine power radiating from Asrie right in front of him.
Incredible.
That was Kim Jihun’s impression upon facing her again.
The first time they met, he hadn’t viewed this so-called Creator God with much reverence deep down. Sure, she had wings, but she’d also scarfed down his snacks and drinks like some carefree idiot, and he hadn’t sensed any real charisma from her.
But now was different.
Back then, Jihun’s own divinity had been so faint that he couldn’t even perceive Asrie’s true power.
Now, however, having crudely stepped into the realm of material creation, he could at least sense a fraction of the power emanating from the female Creator God before him.
So this is the power of a god.
She possessed an unimaginable might, far beyond anything humanity could fathom. She could erase or create solar systems as casually as sweeping trash, manipulating cosmic-scale phenomena at will—a truly great being.
Compared to her, could Kim Jihun even be lumped into the same category as a Creator God?
From Asrie’s perspective, he was no more than an ant before a giant—or even less.
And yet, they were both Creator Gods? With such a vast gap in power?
Thanks to that, Kim Jihun was currently crushed under the weight of Asrie’s intense divinity, mentally subdued.
Asrie noticed his pained expression and made an “oops” face.
“Ah, right. Now that you’ve entered the creation realm, you can sense my divine power. Hold on a sec.”
She spoke to Kim Jihun, then began folding her wings as tightly as possible. She also reined in her naturally emanating divine power, adjusting it so it wouldn’t leak out.
“Hoo...”
Only then could Kim Jihun breathe properly.
Until just moments ago, the overwhelming pressure of Asrie’s divine power had made it impossible for him to even catch his breath.
But as she suppressed her leaking power, the oppression lifted.
Finally freed from her overwhelming presence, Kim Jihun muttered in astonishment.
“The power of a god is truly astounding.”
It was proof that her claim of being a god wasn’t empty words. Her strength rendered even the world’s mightiest weapons—nuclear arms—utterly harmless in her presence. To someone who could wield power on a cosmic scale, Earth’s armaments were nothing more than crude toys.
“Ahem. Anyway, let me say it again: Congratulations on entering the path of the Creator God, Kim Jihun.”
Asrie spoke to him with an awkward smile.
Kim Jihun asked her,
“So, does that mean I’m a Creator God now too?”
“You could say that. More precisely, you’ve just taken the first step. But it’s true—you possess the divinity of a Creator God, crude as it is.”
Kim Jihun could hardly believe it.
A mere human like him, in the same category as the omniscient and omnipotent Creator God Asrie standing before him?
Asrie summed up his doubts neatly.
“A private is still a soldier, and so is the chief of staff.”
“Ah, I get it now.”
Kim Jihun immediately accepted her analogy. Just as a private and a chief of staff both fell under the “soldier” category despite their massive differences in influence and impact, Kim Jihun was now a Creator God too—but the lowest of the low. In fact, calling him a god at all was a stretch. What could he even do as one right now?
“To celebrate your entry into Creator God-hood, I came to show you a few things and explain them.”
Asrie gazed at Kim Jihun as she said this.
He met her eyes.
“Things I need to know...”
Kim Jihun welcomed her words. All he had was that one manual; he’d never even tried any actual creation. Her guidance was exactly what he’d hoped for. Maybe talking with her would help him find his path.
As if sensing his expectations, Asrie flashed a confident smile.
“Alright. I’ll explain it to you. What gods are, what Creator Gods are, and even the purpose of our existence.”
Asrie slowly spread her wings. Her white wings unfurled, emitting a blue aura that soaked into them, gradually glowing white-hot.
Kim Jihun felt like he’d be overwhelmed again by the intense divine power she was radiating.
But Asrie said, “Just bear with it a moment,” and poured even more power into performing a miracle.
Soon, divine authority manifested at her fingertips.
Krzzzzzzt—!
Space tore, split, and vibrated.
And Jihun sensed some tremendous flow. A colossal energy. That was the only way to describe it.
He was awestruck by the miracle born of Asrie’s immense power.
“Gasp!”
Instinctively, Kim Jihun grasped what had just happened. Thanks to his faint trace of supreme divinity as a Creator God, he could perceive it on a human’s senses alone, if roughly.
With a tense expression, Kim Jihun looked at Asrie.
She saw his nervous face and grinned.
Then she pointed at the closed room door, as if urging him to open it quick.
No way...
With trembling hands, he opened the door.
The old door slid open smoothly, revealing silence beyond. Nothing but silence.
Emptiness. Darkness. Nothingness.
There was nothing outside the door. Just an abyss beyond even that word—a sheer void draped in a black curtain.
Kim Jihun and Asrie had been transported, room and all, to another dimension.
A dimension of absolute nothing.
This small room and the utter emptiness, divided by the doorframe.
Two different worlds, connected through Kim Jihun’s door.
Gazing calmly at the nothingness, Asrie spoke to him.
“This darkness where nothing exists. The space of nothingness itself. We gods call it the Void.”
Her voice echoed through the silent void.
In the pitch-black space, only her divine words spread hollowly.
“This is the end of the universe. The thermal equilibrium where all protons and neutrons have decayed. Energy no longer flows, and everything vanishes except a trace of stray atoms.”
A space of nothing.
Nothing existed because it was void, and it was void because nothing existed.
A silent expanse devoid of light, matter, or energy.
Kim Jihun stared blankly at the black void beyond the door.
There was nothing there. Just the black curtain.
Suddenly, fear began to creep in.
The end of the universe.
Overcome with dread, Kim Jihun peered out the door.
Asrie continued her explanation.
“Conquering the Void to prevent the end of dimensions, filling the universe with existence and advancing it—that is the mission the Great Law has bestowed upon us gods.”
The Void.
It was nothing, and thus all the more ruthless and threatening.
Be it human, god, or any intelligent being, none could survive in such hollow emptiness.
The god race, rulers of all creation, fought the Void with creation and management.
They protected the universe from devolving into the Void.
They forged planets, birthed life.
And nurtured its growth.
That was the mission the Great Law had given the gods.
Jihun thought blankly,
Amazing.
Would he one day wield his Creation Force against such a Void?
Suddenly, Asrie seemed even more noble and radiant in his eyes.
As a mere human, he hadn’t grasped what she truly was before.
But facing the Void directly, he finally realized how noble and great she was in opposing it.
“...It’s cold.”
Staring blankly at the Void, Jihun suddenly felt the chill.
It wasn’t mere temperature.
His soul was crying out in cold.
Lips trembling from the overwhelming chill assaulting him, Kim Jihun’s face rapidly paled.
Asrie clicked her tongue slightly at the sight.
“A human soul gets damaged by the Void so easily.”
She placed her hand on Kim Jihun’s head.
And performed the miracle of a Creator God.
Golden light shone from her hand, and Kim Jihun’s body resonated with her, emitting the same glow.
Flash!
In the endless darkness, Kim Jihun and Asrie blazed with brilliant golden light.
“I’ve protected your soul with my divinity. It won’t be devoured by the Void for a hundred years. By then, you won’t be fazed by something like this.”
Asrie said this and looked at him.
A faint golden light emanated from Jihun’s body—the mark of accepting her divinity.
“It was so cold.”
Kim Jihun shuddered, shoulders hunched, not even wanting to think about it.
He looked quite pitiful.
But in truth, this was Asrie’s oversight—she’d forgotten he still had a human soul.
Human souls are fragile. I slipped up.
No human soul could endure the Void.
Even with his faint divinity, Kim Jihun was still a mortal at heart.
Bringing him here without precautions had been too much.
Jihun needs to grow fast.
Once he gained true Creator God divinity and power, the Void wouldn’t touch him.
She resolved inwardly to help him grow quickly.
“Let me show you what creation means for us Creator Gods.”
Asrie spread her wings wide.
Blue energy poured from her wings, golden radiance rippling across her body.
All things exist.
Fwaaaah!
Intense light flooded the emptiness.
