Creation Talent
“Hah!”
Chae Seong-ah’s eyes snapped open as she exhaled sharply. Her body trembled in terror.
“What was that just now?”
She had clearly been on the verge of getting hit by a car. Crossing the crosswalk in a rush of joy, she had spotted the vehicle barreling toward her at the very last second. The moment she saw it hurtling at her with terrifying speed, she instinctively knew she was about to die. She had squeezed her eyes shut—and when she opened them again...
“Where the hell am I?”
It was a different space entirely. A rather luxurious one, at that. A chandelier sprinkled bright light from the ceiling, surrounded by all manner of opulent furniture and decorations. And beyond the window? Nothing but pitch-black darkness.
She tilted her head at the sight. “Is this the afterlife? Nicer than I expected.”
She had always imagined the afterlife as something vague like heaven or hell—fluffy clouds in the sky or a roiling mass of flames. But everything enclosing her now was intricately beautiful, down to the smallest detail. Well, except for that window showing nothing but black void.
The room she was in brimmed with lavish decorations and furnishings. She began inspecting the opulent space.
“Hmm.”
She approached the walls slowly, touching the various ornaments. Some were carved from ivory, others delicately crafted from beautiful crystals. Even she, daughter of a corporate magnate, couldn’t help but marvel at their radiant splendor. She stroked them with her fingers, sighing in admiration.
“So beautiful.”
They felt like something a god might have crafted, radiating a transcendent beauty. Just looking at them stirred a greed she hadn’t even known she possessed.
Chae Seong-ah toured the decorations and furniture, getting her bearings. The place seemed to be a vast mansion. A grand library, an ornate party hall, a workshop that looked like it produced all sorts of items, a tidy dining room, a cozy bedroom. Every space was decked out with extreme extravagance and meticulous care.
Among them all, the one that caught her eye most was the bathroom. Tucked in one corner of the mansion was a massive bath with warm water constantly flowing. Spacious and lavish, it was adorned everywhere with gold and jewels—a bathtub fit for gods.
“Whoa...”
Chae Seong-ah stared at it, overcome with the urge to strip down and soak right then and there. She gave in to the impulse without hesitation. In the changing room beside the bath, she shed her clothes and stowed them away. Utterly bare, she slipped into the steaming water.
Splash. The quiet ripple echoed through the silent bath.
“Haaaah~~~...”
She let out a blissful sigh as the warm water melted away her tension. Unbeknownst to her, this wasn’t ordinary bathwater. It was a miraculous elixir Kim Jihun had painstakingly perfected, infused with substances that banished fatigue.
As her exhaustion faded rapidly, her thoughts began to clear.
I definitely got hit by that car.
The car had been closing in fast—too fast for someone as slow as her to dodge. She must have been struck. Yet when she glanced at her naked body, it was the same smooth, flawless skin she always saw. Not a scratch.
“I have no idea what happened.”
Was this really the afterlife? Would her parents worry? She’d finally been getting close to Kim Jihun, and now this? It felt so unfair...
Suddenly, she recalled the last thing she’d seen. She’d noticed the car bearing down and turned her gaze toward it. And there, gripping the steering wheel and glaring at her with cold eyes...
Those ruthless eyes.
“Ugh, uuu...”
Terror gripped her again, and she clutched her shoulders. That icy stare, the murderous intent in eyes that regarded her like prey to be dispatched. The gaze of someone resolved to kill.
That was when it happened, as Chae Seong-ah huddled in the bath, paralyzed by fear.
Knock knock.
A polite knock echoed from the bathroom door. She jumped, whipping her head toward the sound.
A voice came from beyond. “Please come to the bedroom where you first woke up after you finish bathing.”
It was Kim Jihun’s voice.
“...”
“Chae Seong-ah-ssi?”
Kim Jihun heard the water splashing from the bath and spotted her clothes in the changing room. Realizing she was bathing, he knocked on the door.
“Please come to the bedroom where you first woke up after you finish.”
He turned to leave, then spotted a bathrobe hanging in the corner of the changing room and remembered something.
“Oh, right—there’s no bathrobe here that would fit Chae Seong-ah-ssi.”
She could just put her old clothes back on after, but that felt awkward. Kim Jihun pulled a calculation aid from his pocket, intending to craft a bathrobe tailored to her measurements.
All Things Exist
A brilliant golden glow blossomed from Kim Jihun’s fingertips. Simultaneously, the item he envisioned materialized.
A bathrobe. But this was no ordinary one. Silky soft like the finest fabric, yet absorbent like microfiber. Its surface gleamed with elegant sheen, its design sleek and sophisticated. Even a simple bathrobe, born from Kim Jihun’s hands, outshone any human-made counterpart in beauty and precision.
He hung it in a visible spot and called toward the bath.
“I hung up a bathrobe—please wear this.”
“Y-yes... yes!”
Chae Seong-ah’s startled reply came from beyond the door. Kim Jihun turned and headed back to the bedroom.
How long did he wait there?
Creeeak.
The door opened. Kim Jihun turned to look.
There stood Chae Seong-ah, clad in the bathrobe, hesitantly stepping inside.
Seeing her, his face flushed as he swallowed hard.
I miscalculated the size!
He’d eyeballed her measurements while crafting it, especially underestimating her bust. The robe he’d made was decently sized, but her actual figure was a size larger than he’d guessed. It barely covered her now, her chest straining perilously against the fabric.
“Ahem! Hello, Chae Seong-ah-ssi.”
“Yes.”
She glanced sideways at him and sat in the chair opposite, while he perched on the bed. They exchanged looks across the space between.
Kim Jihun reined in his gaze from wandering and spoke.
“You must be pretty confused right now, Chae Seong-ah-ssi.”
He posed the question gently. She fired back without missing a beat.
“Yes. Where is this place? Why am I here? I want to know what happened to me.”
She lightly covered her exposed chest—more revealing than expected—and spoke clearly.
Before answering, Kim Jihun paused, pondering.
Do I have to tell her everything?
To explain, he’d need to reveal his abilities, the subspace, his Creation Talent. Hide it, or lay it all bare?
The deliberation didn’t last long.
Now that she’s in my subspace, hiding it would be tough anyway.
This space, designed and created by him, was more splendid than anywhere on Earth. Crafted over weeks with a high Creator God’s computational aid—his personal sanctuary. Facing her here, secrecy was impractical.
So he decided to come clean.
“The truth is...”
Kim Jihun began, spilling everything. Acquiring the Creator God Manual. Awakening his Creation Talent. Crafting, refining, gathering Creation Force. Even meeting gods.
He laid it all out, feeling unburdened as he met her eyes.
If she thinks I’m crazy, oh well.
Deceiving someone he liked—who’d nearly died moments ago—went against his conscience. Better to risk being seen as odd.
But his worry was unfounded.
“That’s incredible!”
Chae Seong-ah stared at him, eyes sparkling with excitement and anticipation—like his own when he’d first awakened.
“Haha...”
Kim Jihun deflated at her reaction. She was like him—craving mystery beyond mundane modern life.
The first to hear his secrets wasn’t family or his crush Seo Yerim, but Chae Seong-ah, a woman he’d barely met.
Having grasped it all, she asked, “So this is your subspace, Kim Jihun-ssi?”
“That’s right. The power of this ring, given to me by the Creator God Asrie.”
He raised his left hand, showing the ring. Intricate geometric patterns adorned the stunning band.
She admired it. “Aaah, what a gorgeous ring.”
“Yeah. Made by a god, after all.”
The ring he wore was literally bestowed by a god—a high Creator God, no less.
Chae Seong-ah marveled at the ring, then gestured to the surrounding furnishings. “Did a god make those decorations and furniture too?”
To her, they were extraordinary. They exuded pinnacle beauty, every pattern, form, and material perfected.
Even her wealthy self was awestruck; they had to be divine handiwork.
But Kim Jihun shook his head. “No. I made all of them. Watch.”
He answered simply and activated his power.
All Things Exist
A low divine incantation slipped from Kim Jihun’s lips. The room filled with golden radiance.
Chae Seong-ah shivered at the dazzling sight.
Just as I thought! What I saw wasn’t a hallucination.
She’d witnessed this before—peeking through his window uninvited. Now it replayed before her eyes.
Her eyes widened as she watched intently.
