Pushing the Limits of Creation
Kim Jihun had devoted the past few days to honing his creation abilities.
"All things exist."
With a solemn expression, Jihun recited the divine incantation. The room flashed with creation force leaking from him and a golden glow.
Creation force gathered in Jihun's hand, forming an object that revealed its shape. A smartphone. What Jihun had made was a smartphone.
He had mimicked his old smartphone to create a new one. An incredible feat. To craft a smartphone with his own hands! The pinnacle of modern IT technology, it was a complex aggregate of intricate electronic structures.
Being able to create one proved his creation ability had grown tremendously—if Kim Jihun had truly made it "perfectly."
"Damn it."
He muttered in frustration. The smartphone in Jihun's hand wasn't perfect. The exterior was roughly replicated, but the crucial internal circuits, semiconductor chips, and such were completely absent. His creation ability was still insufficient.
"Why is the application processor so damn complicated?"
The application processor—commonly called the AP—was the problem. This incredibly complex and intricate semiconductor chipset could be called the smartphone's core, a sophisticated and powerful compact computing device. It was far too difficult for Jihun's current level to produce.
Thus, he kept failing to replicate advanced objects, enduring the agony.
"Urgh..."
Jihun clutched his throbbing head and groaned. His brain ached from overusing his abilities beyond their limit—a kind of penalty.
However, Jihun's persistent attempts at advanced creation, enduring the pain and failures, weren't entirely futile. There was some reward.
Creation Force +100
A message floated in the corner of Jihun's vision. His creation force had increased.
If I gather enough creation force, someday I'll create advanced objects with ease.
Jihun realized that each accumulation of creation force brought him closer to creating advanced objects. With every failed attempt, he felt himself inching toward previously impossible realms.
He steeled his resolve.
Keep raising my creation force to grow my abilities. Then...
Jihun closed his eyes, envisioning that golden phrase. The radiant [Reward: Personal Subspace]! He clenched his fist and murmured.
"I can have a subspace."
Fire blazed in Jihun's eyes. For a subspace, he could endure the pain and gather creation force. It held that much appeal for him.
Jihun focused his creation force again, resuming his training.
...
"Hehe."
Asrie smiled amusedly. She had been watching Jihun until just now.
"Getting so greedy over just a subspace."
It was merely a ploy to motivate him with a small reward. But Jihun's reaction exceeded expectations. He was dead set on claiming it with desperate resolve.
Asrie muttered.
"It's just a bit of space carved from another dimension's void and linked. Yet he craves it so. Is it that appealing?"
Asrie lightly flicked her finger through the air. Space tore open with a massive rift. Beyond the gap lay a deep, profound abyss. Silent emptiness. The "Void" stretched out.
"If he becomes a Creator God, this is nothing."
Asrie gazed at the void she had made, her face puzzled.
"Hurry up and reach this level, Kim Jihun."
She murmured bitterly, staring at her created subspace. Only a dark curtain of nothingness was visible.
Gazing at it reminded her of the subspace's raw material—the thing all gods opposed, drawing the universe toward its end: the "Void."
The fundamental enemy gods fought. All gods existed to combat the Void.
Creator Gods delayed the end through creation. Combat Gods protected existence from the darkness spawned by the Void. Management Gods oversaw and prospered created beings.
This was the mission the "Great Law" imposed on gods.
Most gods strove to fulfill it. But an irregularity emerged.
In Earth, created and managed by high Creator God Asrie, a sapient being with Creation Talent appeared—extremely rare.
A human with Creation Talent.
Asrie toyed her fingers again, closing the dimension. The subspace for Jihun vanished, normal space returning.
How long until he becomes a Creator God? 100 years? 1,000?
No one knew. No sapient-born had ever possessed Creation Talent, so his ascension timeline was unpredictable.
But Asrie resolved.
"With my help, he'll reach Creator God quickly enough."
She was a high Creator God, commanding most gods. With her full support—trials as missions, rewards, key creation insights—it shouldn't take long.
Asrie smiled expectantly.
"Grow fast. We Creator Gods are always short-handed."
She chuckled, anticipating that day. Her eyes sparkled brilliantly.
...
"Argh! This sucks! I can't do it anymore!"
Exhausted, Kim Jihun collapsed onto his bed. He had spent the whole day manifesting creation abilities, grinding creation force.
Now, a ferocious headache tormented him—the penalty for pushing through the pain.
"Ugh..."
Jihun grimaced in agony. But soon, his face relaxed into a proud smile.
A satisfying message appeared in his vision.
A whopping 50,000+ creation force for Jihun! Through relentless grinding, he had finally secured over 50,000—an unimaginable amount from before.
"50,000!"
More than double what he had weeks ago. Plus, inching closer to advanced object success. Jihun was pleased with his efforts.
He murmured.
"At this rate, I'll succeed with advanced objects in days."
Jihun thought of the subspace reward again. Subspace—a power straight out of fantasy novels!
From Asrie, who created planets in seconds. It had to be extraordinary.
"Alright. Let's keep going."
Jihun recited the incantation anew, attempting creation.
...
"Here you go, miss."
Seo Yerim handed over the card. Chae Seong-ah took it with relief.
"Phew, I panicked thinking I'd lost it."
Chae Seong-ah relaxed, patting her chest. Seo Yerim just beamed at her.
"Haha, glad you got it back. Honestly, if you hadn't come by today, I was gonna call the card company to handle it."
"Ugh, the card company? No way. Canceling and recovering is such a hassle. This is way better."
A week ago, Chae Seong-ah had bought books at the neighborhood shop "Yelim Bookstore." But her scatterbrained nature left her card behind.
Unfortunately, she was originally quite arrogant, so she hadn't noticed right away. Only now, a week later, did she return for it.
She said to Yerim.
"By the way, no part-timer here? There used to be a guy working here."
"Oh, that part-timer only worked for a month. He quit."
Chae Seong-ah looked disappointed at Yerim's reply.
Truth be told, half her reason for coming was hoping to see "that guy" again. The part-timer's looks from a week ago outshone most celebrities, sparkling brilliantly.
But he quit! Chae Seong-ah felt regretful.
She hid it and told Yerim.
"Ah, I see... Thanks for keeping the card. Bye."
Chae Seong-ah took her card and left the bookstore, heading home.

Some of you might remember, but Chae Seong-ah is the woman who briefly appeared in Chapter 11!
