Creation Talent - Even If I Discard My Body, I Won't Discard My Honor
Kim Jihun selected 'Kenji' from the hero selection screen.
This pint-sized cyborg samurai was a pretty appealing hero. Blazing movement speed and a stylish playstyle. A highly mobile hero who zipped around every corner of the map, stirring up chaos. Kenji demanded high control skill, sharp game sense, and lightning reflexes.
'Pretty tough, though.'
Jihun swallowed nervously, steeling himself. He focused his mind on the screen.
'But if I wanna carry, Kenji's the only answer.'
One of the rare heroes who could dominate the game solo. That was Kenji.
Jihun took a deep breath and checked his team's hero picks.
'Good, only one thrower.'
Thankfully, his teammates—save for one—were all rational. The only one who'd given up was the player named 'InterestSeeder'. Thanks to that, Jihun hadn't lost all hope.
With a frustrated glare, Jihun eyed the hero 'Kingjo' picked by InterestSeeder.
-Sake!
-Sake!
-Sake!
Kingjo seemed determined not to play, spamming hero lines from a corner of the spawn area. Jihun scowled.
"Damn, that guy's living up to his name."
But Jihun didn't give up. Even in Grandmaster tier with a teammate throwing, this was a placement match. Losing would hit him hardest, so he pressed on.
Jihun smiled faintly at the wholesome chat vibe.
'Yeah. We still have a shot. Even with one troll, if I pull double duty...'
He gripped his mouse tight and locked eyes on the screen. As he steeled his resolve, the speaker announced the start.
-5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
-The tide of battle approaches!
The game began. Jihun quickly scanned the enemy comp.
'Two tanks, two DPS, two healers. Classic 2-2-2. Lucky it's not three tanks.'
As soon as it started, he darted into an alley. The map was Torodo, full of narrow alleys perfect for Kenji to shine.
'Gotta cut their healers first.'
Kenji's role: disrupt the backline, assassinate squishies. Especially the enemy healers. Jihun decided to flank hard.
As Jihun slipped into the back alleys, his team clustered around the payload. Enemy fire rained from the second floor. Holding his breath, he pinpointed the enemy healers.
'There on the second floor, as expected.'
The enemy healers were Merti and Anna. He pondered.
'Merti's easy to pick, but Anna's tough.'
Merti lacked defensive tools, making her prime Kenji bait. But Anna had her sleep dart CC and the biotic grenade for self-sustain and anti-heal—tricky.
Jihun's dilemma didn't last. The enemies dropped to the first floor to fight over the payload. Healers and DPS stayed up top, tanks forming the frontline below. Perfect chance.
'Now!'
He clicked. Thwip thwip thwip! Kenji hurled shurikens.
-Ting ting ting!
Perfect headshots on the enemy healers. Seeing their health drop, Jihun dove in.
-Slash!
Kenji's dash-attack, Swift Strike. Shift-activated, it was his mobility core—cooldown resets on kills, perfect for aggression and escape.
Jihun boldly dropped right in front of the healers.
-Rat-tat-tat!
His bold flank drew the enemy DPS. Soldier 76 fired back with precise shots and rockets.
But Jihun stayed cool.
Deflect
E skill: Deflect. Reflected enemy fire right back at them. Defense and offense in one slick package. Kenji whipped his wakizashi in a blur, bouncing everything harmlessly—including Soldier's rockets.
-Ting ting ting!
-Ding!
-Gaaah!
Anna ate her own redirected bullets and grenades. Deflect for the kill. Jihun grinned.
'Nice!'
One healer down: Merti left. Low health, paper defenses—easy pickings. Fresh off the Anna kill, Swift Strike was off cooldown. He dashed.
-Slash!
Swift Strike sliced air. Shuriken barrage followed!
-Thud thud thud!
No retaliation from Merti—she flapped away toward her DPS. But Kenji wasn't done!
-Pew pew pew!
-Kyah!
Merti exploded mid-air, plummeting wings-first. Both healers eliminated. Jihun felt great.
Now, the two DPS: Soldier 76 and Makuri. They turned on him, his health critical. But Swift Strike reset again.
-Slash!
This time toward his team. Safe return after double kill.
With healers gone, no sustain—the enemy tanks crumbled. The stalled payload rolled forward. Jihun smirked.
'Yeah, this is why I play Kenji.'
Pick off low-HP backliners and dip. Classic Kenji.
...
-Enemy eliminated.
-Swift as the wind!
-Enemy eliminated.
-I'll end this.
-Triple kill.
-Like a gale!
Jihun kept harassing their backline. Every teamfight, he'd pop out unexpectedly, targeting healers and DPS. Ultis nonstop.
-Receive the Dragonblade!
-Pentakill.
-One step at a time.
Kenji went berserk. Dragonblade shredded teams; Deflects pierced healer skulls. Godlike reactions, instincts, and sense on full display.
Jihun glanced at the Kaprika stream chat, satisfied.
Positive vibes! Jihun thrilled.
'Games can be this fun!'
No more talentless struggles. Superhuman reflexes, dynamic vision, game sense—he crushed them.
'We can win!'
-Slash! Slash! Slash!
Every Swift Strike felled foes. Ult gauge filled fast. Dragonblades nonstop.
-The warrior's spirit burns!
Kenji's portrait blazed all day. Rampage mode till the end.
Enemy chat in chaos. Jihun laughed.
"Yes! Victory!"
He roamed relentlessly. Enemies flailed to catch him but failed against his reflexes and sense. Fixated on Kenji, they neglected the payload—team pushed smoothly.
Victory!
Solid round one win! Jihun cheered.
"Whoa!"
All thanks to his carry. Teammates showered thanks.
Team vibe warmed up. The early thrower gloom lifted. Defense round next—block their payload, win the match.
Jihun smiled, confident.
Then—
[InterestSeeder] switched from [Kingjo] to [Soldier76].
The thrower reformed! Jihun's superplay miracle. Now true 6v6 defense. Thanks to his carry, they crushed it.
Win!
"Yesss... YES!!!!!"
Jihun whooped in ecstasy. Perfect 10-0 placements with nonstop superplays. Never gave up, seized victory. Now, his placement score popped up.
Tense, he watched: 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000!
Grandmaster! Top tier, barring the top 500.
Viewers showered points. Jihun's stream exploded.
