May's Sports Festival - Preparations
"What? A stalker after Yu-ri?! Who the hell is the bastard?"
Jeong Eun-ji, after hearing the story from me, trembled with pure rage.
"She doesn't know. She was too busy running away to get a look at their face, so she couldn't even tell me if it was a guy or a girl."
"What kind of insane freak has nothing better to do than stalk someone..."
"Yu-ri's really scared right now. I can't just leave her alone, but my part-time jobs run from Monday to Thursday so our schedules don't match up. Yu-ri's student council work keeps her at school late anyway."
"...... You have a part-time job?"
Jeong Eun-ji, who hadn't known I worked part-time, frowned like she'd just heard the most unbelievable thing in the world and tilted her head.
"Are you calling shaking people down for money your 'part-time job' or something?"
"It's just a convenience store gig, so shut up with the nonsense. Anyway, I think we need to take care of Yu-ri. For the time being, after academy lets out, take her home. Except Fridays."
"Oh wow, look at you taking care of your girlfriend like a proper boyfriend."
"Do I need to make it an order?"
"Hey, what do you take me for? Yu-ri's my friend. I don't need orders to look after her!"
"Good. Then I'll leave Yu-ri in your hands until Friday. It might just be a misunderstanding or coincidence, but something feels off about it."
"Got it. Now that you've told me, it's bothering me too."
"And don't let your guard down just because there are two of you. If anything feels wrong, grab Yu-ri and run immediately."
At my words, Jeong Eun-ji narrowed her eyes at me.
"Are you pretending to worry about me right now?"
"It's not pretending, you prickly pufferfish."
I grabbed the lips of this girl who always picked the most annoying things to say, pinching and shaking them. Jeong Eun-ji made muffled whining noises with her mouth sealed shut and smacked my arm. Once I finally let go, she clutched her lips and glared at me.
"What the hell is a pufferfish? Damn it, my lips hurt..."
"I've got work today too, so make sure you take good care of Yu-ri. I'm trusting you. Both of you stay safe."
......
After I left, Jeong Eun-ji touched her lips while staring down the hallway where I'd disappeared. The way I treated her was pretty rough, but she gave as good as she got, and even taking that into account, I was actually quite lenient with her. It was to a degree she couldn't have imagined back in middle school, or even just last year.
"Has he... really changed...?"
Jeong Eun-ji somehow sensed that my worry for her wasn't just empty words.
Choi Su-yeon watched the group chat messages with a bored expression.
"Looks like everything's fine on their end."
"Yeah. When Yu-ri called me crying last night, I thought something serious had happened."
"Now that Senior Yu-ri is safe, isn't it time you paid attention to me?"
With those words, Choi Su-yeon climbed onto my lap, straddling me face-to-face. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me into a deep kiss. We tangled our tongues wetly in a position that felt almost like we were having sex sitting up.
"Haa...♥"
"People would think you're a total kiss addict if they saw you."
"Hmph. Look who's talking. You start it just as often as I do."
And then another kiss. She was still too scared to go all the way, but her desires seemed to be building up steadily inside her. Lately, the frequency and intensity of her demands for kisses kept increasing. Usually the pattern was sex first, feelings later, but this girl was surprisingly classic—connecting hearts first and carefully progressing through the physical stages.
We spent a long time kissing while there were no customers. Then Choi Su-yeon suddenly seemed to remember something. She let out a little "Ah!" and groped at my chest as she asked,
"Oh right, Senior! What events are you doing for the sports festival?"
"Sports festival?"
"Yeah! It's less than a month away now. They said soccer and basketball start practice next week. You're not participating? You'd be amazing at soccer."
Now that she mentioned it, there was a sports festival in May. The old Han Seong-jin hadn't just skipped participating—he'd ditched the whole day to go somewhere else, so I couldn't even remember what happened during it. Of course, that was the old me. I had no intention of skipping it this time.
"What do they usually do at the sports festival? I never participated, so I don't remember."
"It changes a little every year, but they always have soccer, basketball, swimming, dodgeball, obstacle courses, relay races, stuff like that. The rest will be decided by the student council. Some events are mixed-grade, I think. If there are any, do you want to enter them with me?"
"Sure. I'll participate this year. Not sure if my classmates will like having me join, though."
"Hehe, promise? For the mixed-grade events, you have to do them with me, okay?"
"Alright. If there are any."
Seong-jin, after academy on Friday I'm going to look at sports festival props...
If it's okay, do you want to come with me? We can get dinner afterward too.
I smiled and replied that I'd go. Choi Su-yeon saw me grinning like an idiot and poked my cheek repeatedly.
"What are you smiling about? Is it Senior Yu-ri?"
"Yeah. She wants me to go look at sports festival props with her on Friday. She's busy preparing for it too, huh."
"......"
Choi Su-yeon stared at me silently as I typed, then suddenly flipped my phone face-down on the desk and pounced, kissing me fiercely.
"Mmph...♥"
It was more intense than usual. Choi Su-yeon held my face in both hands and devoured my tongue greedily. I didn't resist, wrapping my tongue around hers in return. When we finally parted, a thin string of saliva connected our lips before breaking. Even then, Choi Su-yeon still looked pouty.
"That kiss was a lot stronger than usual, huh?"
"I'm just annoyed. It's always Senior Yu-ri trying to monopolize you, like I'm some kind of intruder... I was the one who kissed you first."
Well, just like Yu-ri is an intruder to you, you're an intruder to her... I wisely kept that thought to myself.
Ever since finding out I'd had sex with Yu-ri, Choi Su-yeon had been showing her hostility toward her more openly, keeping her in check. Whenever Yu-ri's name came out of my mouth, she made it very clear she was displeased. Like right now.
"I'm not just going to sit back and watch forever. Even before I'm fully ready... I'll do something about it."
"You're not planning anything weird, are you?"
"Hehe, you'll see soon enough, won't you?"
Choi Su-yeon still wouldn't reveal her final intentions. But it didn't take long to find out what she meant this time either.
......
Friday after school, with no part-time shift. Yu-ri didn't have a student council meeting today either, so we were able to head out together right after academy ended.
"Um, just asking in case... you're not forcing yourself to come even though it's annoying, right?"
Yu-ri seemed worried that I might be unhappy about getting involved in student council work when I wasn't even an officer.
"Not at all. How could I say no when my girlfriend asks me for a favor?"
"Still... I've heard guys really hate following girls around when they shop..."
"It's not like we're just window shopping to kill time. We're going to check out equipment for the sports festival. That's completely different. Let's get going. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can have our own date."
"Okay...♡"
Yu-ri beamed and linked her arm with mine. But just as we were about to leave the classroom—
"Oh myyy? Seniors, where are you going?"
Choi Su-yeon stood waiting with an incredibly bright smile. The moment Yu-ri saw her, her expression froze solid. Choi Su-yeon only smiled wider.
"Going on a date? How mean, leaving me out~"
"We're going to look at sports festival equipment. We're leaving, so move."
"Hmm? Really? Then I'll come help too!"
"No thanks. Seong-jin and I are enough. Having extra people would just—"
"But didn't Senior Seong-jin himself say he skipped the sports festival every year and never participated? How would he know what equipment is needed for events he's never even seen? Carrying stuff is one thing, but—"
Yu-ri shot me a look. It clearly said, Why did you tell her that?! She quickly composed herself, gently pushed Choi Su-yeon aside, and stepped out of the classroom.
"Fine, there might be carrying involved. Anyway, I need Seong-jin to come with me, so you should just go home—"
"Oh, I see? If carrying things is involved, the more helpers the better, right?"
"...... Huh?"
"If we're choosing equipment for the sports festival, I'd be more helpful than Senior Seong-jin, who has never participated. And if we need people to carry heavy stuff, more hands would be better, so I'd be useful there too, wouldn't I? Therefore, I'll be coming along. There's nothing wrong with my logic, is there?"
"Ah, wait a second! This is student council business! You can't just insert yourself into—"
"Senior Seong-jin isn't a student council officer either, is he? That excuse doesn't work. If you don't have any better reasons, I'm coming too."
Yu-ri's face flushed red then pale as her hasty excuses to shake Choi Su-yeon off backfired completely. Unable to find another reason to get rid of her, she instead grabbed my arm tightly and pressed her body against mine.
"Ugh, fine! Do whatever you want! I'll be looking at equipment with my Seong-jin, so you can just follow along carrying what we buy!"
Choi Su-yeon smoothly deflected Yu-ri's sharp attitude and linked her arm with my free one.
"Weren't you just saying you brought Senior Seong-jin specifically because you needed him to carry things?"
Between the two women, sparks flew violently.
