Lee Yu-ri, the Student Council President and Childhood Friend
During the opening ceremony, I had to keep suppressing the urge to punch Gong Yeong-bae square in the face. That bastard. I used to think he was just oblivious and dense, but now I saw the truth—he was a complete scumbag. The kind of trash that operated on a whole different level from me, Han Seong-jin. And watching the girls who would never have their feelings reciprocated if they stayed with him made them look even more pitiful in my eyes.
So there was only one answer left. I'll claim them for myself. I knew what they liked and what their personalities were like far better than Gong Yeong-bae ever could. In the end, it looked like I was going to end up causing the NTR Drift from the original story myself… but this time it's different.
Popping out of nowhere with a “Ta-da! They’ve actually been corrupted into submissive females from the very beginning!” and screwing everyone over is one thing. Punishing someone who thoroughly deserves it is another. Besides, I hadn’t even been angry about the NTR trope itself, so I felt no particular guilt about doing it with my own hands.
After the opening ceremony ended, I slipped into the annex bathroom for a moment, bought a few pieces of bread from the canteen that had opened early, and headed back to my assigned classroom—third-year Class 3. The hallway was buzzing.
What the hell? Why are there so many people crowded around our classroom?
A sizable crowd of students had formed near the door. I pushed through them.
“Coming through.”
“Eek!”
The moment I spoke from behind, the students who had been watching from a distance recognized me, flinched violently, and immediately parted like the Red Sea. I stood over 185 centimeters tall with the muscular build to match. Simply standing still, my presence overwhelmed everyone around me. Add in my naturally fierce face and the fact that I was the worst delinquent in the entire district, and it was impossible for them not to feel terror.
Performing my own version of Moses’ miracle, I cut through the crowd until I reached the front of the classroom. That was when I finally understood why so many people had gathered.
Lee Yu-ri and Gong Yeong-bae stood with their backs pressed against the outer wall of the classroom. Surrounding them were several delinquents—my own underlings, to be exact.
“I already told you nothing happened!”
“Ah~ So you heard what I said? Huh?”
One of the delinquents sneered at the shouting Lee Yu-ri.
“That’s not what I—”
“That bastard did something to piss off our boss on the very first day of the semester. We’re just trying to find out what it was. Why the hell are you butting in? Hey, you. Come out here while we’re still asking nicely, yeah?”
“Yu-Yuri…”
Once again, Gong Yeong-bae was hiding behind her like a coward. Pathetic piece of shit.
From my memories of the original Han Seong-jin’s experiences, these delinquents seemed to think I had some problem with Gong Yeong-bae and had called him out. They were harassing him to discover the reason, doing things I never asked for, all because they believed it would earn them points with me. And until now, that approach had actually worked. The old Han Seong-jin had secretly enjoyed watching from the shadows, savoring the sight of his own power and authority in action.
But there were two things these idiots didn’t know. First, Han Seong-jin was no longer the same person. Second, I absolutely despised this kind of garbage behavior.
“Hey. What the hell are you doing?”
The moment I walked right up to them and asked in a low voice, the entire area fell deathly silent. It felt like the air itself had frozen solid.
“Oh, Seong-jin! Hey, what are you doing here? Just go back to the classroom. We’ll take care of this ourselves.”
“I asked what you’re doing. What exactly are you planning to ‘take care of’?”
“Uh? Well, that’s…”
“Is this because I called that guy out earlier?”
Sensing that the atmosphere had changed, my underlings began exchanging nervous glances.
“Did I ever tell you bastards to do this?”
“N-no, it’s just—”
“I’m not hearing an answer.”
Among all the delinquents at Jinsu High, Han Seong-jin was on a completely different level. One word from me and these guys wouldn’t even dream of rebelling. They knew they couldn’t win in a fight.
“N-no.”
“Then why the fuck are you doing unsolicited shit and causing a scene? Didn’t I tell you I only called him out because I had something brief to say?”
“Y-you did…”
“Or what? Are you trying to stir up trouble on the first day of the semester just to fuck me over? Huh? No matter what stupid shit you pull, everyone’s going to assume I ordered it anyway, right?”
“Hey, hey, Han Seong-jin. Why are you suddenly so touchy?”
The highest-ranking delinquent in the group that had been threatening Lee Yu-ri and Gong Yeong-bae stepped forward to intervene. His walk was pure swagger, cocky and arrogant, and his attitude suggested this was no big deal. It was Hwang Seong-tae, the self-proclaimed second-in-command of Jinsu High’s delinquents.
He had never appeared in the original work, but he existed in Han Seong-jin’s memories. Thanks to that, even though this was technically our first meeting, I could treat him like an old acquaintance.
“Hey, Hwang Seong-tae. Did you order this?”
“I just thought we should hear the situation out for a second.”
“Then why are you making such a fucking spectacle out of it? Are you trying to screw me over right now?”
“Aw, come on, it’s not like that. It’s really nothing. We’ll handle it ourselves, so you can just go back to the class—Puhuk!?”
I slammed my foot straight into Hwang Seong-tae’s stomach. He let out a scream as he flew backward, rolling twice across the floor. The sudden violence made the surrounding students shriek.
“Kyaaak!”
“This fucking bastard has a real talent for ruining my mood first thing in the morning. What the hell do you mean ‘handle it’? Did I order you to do this? Go back inside? Go back inside my ass. You’re all begging to die.”
The moment I kicked Hwang Seong-tae, the rest of the delinquents froze in terror, watching my every move. Hwang Seong-tae himself clutched his stomach, groaning and wheezing.
“I was perfectly fine until a minute ago, but now you assholes have gone and soured my mood. Stop the bullshit. Get lost by the time I count to three. Three. Two…”
They didn’t even wait for one. The delinquents quickly helped the groaning Hwang Seong-tae to his feet and fled the scene as fast as they could.
I turned to Lee Yu-ri, who still wore an anxious expression.
“Hey, Lee Yu-ri.”
“Wh-what?”
“I didn’t order them to do it, but I’m sorry.”
I didn’t spare a single glance at Gong Yeong-bae still cowering behind her.
“What… did you say?”
Lee Yu-ri blinked rapidly, muttering in a dazed voice after hearing my apology. The students around us reacted the same way.
“Did Han Seong-jin just apologize?”
“Did I hear that wrong?”
“Hey, his voice carries! What if we get marked? Keep it down!”
I can hear every word, you idiots.
“You might not believe me, but I really didn’t know those bastards were doing this here. Sorry if it scared you. And if they ever come back behind my back and pull this shit again, tell me. I’ll beat them half to death.”
“…You really didn’t order it?”
“That’s right.”
“…Then it’s fine. In the future, I’d appreciate it if you made sure nothing like this happens to me or Yeong-bae.”
Whether it was because she was the student council president or because she simply had more backbone than expected, Lee Yu-ri managed to say what she needed to despite the obvious fear on her face. She quickly returned to the classroom with Gong Yeong-bae.
I stared down the hallway in the direction the trash had fled and laughed to myself.
Those bastards may be garbage, but that little stunt might actually end up helping me.
News traveled incredibly fast inside the school whenever something like that morning’s commotion occurred.
“Who was the guy fighting in front of our classroom this morning?!”
Our homeroom teacher for second period slammed the teaching materials down on the lectern with an angry expression.
Everyone in Class 3 knew exactly who the culprit was, but no one dared speak first. They all just glanced around nervously. Before the awkward silence could stretch any longer, I quietly raised my hand.
“It was me.”
“What’s your name?”
“Han Seong-jin.”
“Han Seong-jin, huh? Great job on the very first day of the semester! Why were you fighting?!”
I explained the situation in a roundabout way. The moment I mentioned the “student council president,” the teacher’s expression shifted slightly.
“With Yuri? Yuri, is what he’s saying true?”
“Yes? Well… I can’t say it’s completely untrue, but it’s not exactly…”
Since the leader of the group that had threatened her was me, Lee Yu-ri seemed to be feeling complicated emotions. The teacher, unaware of the full context, rubbed his forehead and sighed.
“Haa… I understand you were trying to help a classmate, but you should have used words instead of fists. This is the first time I’ve seen a fight right outside the classroom on the first day. Han Seong-jin, as punishment, you’re on after-school cleaning duty for the next week. I could make it longer, but I’m going easy on you since you were trying to help a friend.”
“Yes, sir.”
“And Yuri, I’m sorry to ask, but could you check on Seong-jin from time to time to make sure he’s doing the cleaning properly? During whatever time you have left after student council work.”
“What?!”
I was the one being punished, yet Lee Yu-ri was the one who jumped out of her seat. I knew it would turn out like this.
I hadn’t expected my underlings to threaten her, but I had known I would receive some kind of punishment after using violence. Well then, Lee Yu-ri. From now on, let’s spend some quiet, secret time together—just the two of us.
