Visor Arrival and Chaos Resolution
Is it appropriate to call this blinding light?
Kim Gichan dug through his memories for a strong light like this. Only the sunlight he basked in on the dentist chair came to mind.
Something exploded right between the two horned figures.
And then came the sound of walls collapsing and things shattering.
Ten seconds later, I opened my eyes. This is what I saw.
Shelves lined up in concentric circles around the explosion point had collapsed, products scattered across the floor.
A horned being was stuck in the wall on Kim Gichan’s right side. If it had been a straight path, I probably would have ended up pinned between the two of them.
The dragon-horned one had completely shattered its spear and flown off all the way to the central fountain in the plaza. Its fancy clothes were now in tatters.
The fact that neither of them threw a grenade or anything that would actually cause real damage was the only saving grace here.
No, the convenience store itself had definitely taken real damage…
Kim Gichan casually scanned the area around 150 degrees. Then he started checking the undamaged sections.
So far, nothing had reached the eating area. A couple of shelves had acted as makeshift barriers.
The counter itself was intact. The only issue was that a horned being was lodged in the World Tree Cigarette rack behind it. Even if it was stuck that way, the being was tough enough that it wouldn’t hurt anyone.
“You were looking for World Tree Lilies.”
Kim Gichan stared at the sight and smirked.
“How desperate must you have been to ram your face straight through?”
Damage was damage.
But first, the tail had been cut off.
Kim Gichan plopped down into a chair and turned his head left.
Maria, her eyes shining unchanged through the dust, smiled at Kim Gichan.
“Miss, you really went all out.”
“Uh-heh… um, is that not a compliment?”
“Puhahaha! Let’s call it a compliment!”
Kim Gichan burst out laughing.
Yu Jinho brought a natural disaster of a girl into this place…
Or rather, how did it end up collapsed in our store’s trash bin?
And why the hell were two real-world drifters involved?
Kim Gichan’s mind filled with possibilities, but he decided to ignore them.
Meaning he was letting go of the reins.
“Whoa~ What was that you just did? Is that some kind of Outer God power?”
“Yes! If I ask the Outer God, they’ll give me mysterious power! This is pressing air hard and exploding it—!”
“Oh, really? That’s huge. I thought you were using a meteor or something!”
“Exactly! I am the Outer God’s holy relic~”
Maria answered cheerfully and looked completely pure.
Kim Gichan nodded at her words and told her, eyes brightening with satisfaction.
“Mmm, Miss. You didn’t really do anything special, but the police are coming soon. Let me make one thing clear.”
“Okay!”
“Good girl.”
Before the police arrived, there was one thing he needed to clarify.
“The Miss’s guarantor is Yu Jinho, and I tried to stop her, but she went rogue on her own?”
That was straight-up cutting off the tail.
Maria flinched and looked embarrassed.
“Ehehe… I’m sorry…”
“No, no, no. You don’t need to apologize to me~ The responsibility is Yu Jinho’s.”
Of course, Kim Gichan couldn’t escape blame either.
But he didn’t want to be dragged down by repair bills three days before retirement.
‘Jinho.’
Kim Gichan recalled Yu Jinho, the one who would come back with the Demon King and see this mess.
‘It seems you’re not really cut out for easy work here.’
Kim Gichan felt this vague dissatisfaction.

“…So the store got wrecked because the Miss shot some kind of meteor inside.”
Even after Kim Gichan finished explaining, I still couldn’t accept what I was seeing. It had been two real-world drifters who started fighting, which led to Maria leveling the whole place.
“The Miss just fired an air-compression bomb, so that’s a blessing. If it had been a real meteor, I would’ve been in trouble~!”
“Y-yes…”
“Miss, when that happens you’re supposed to cower like a mouse…”
Maria tried to look sorry and awkward, but she couldn’t process Kim Gichan’s teasing and only blinked.
“The pillars and walls are still standing, so at least we’re okay, little bro? Business isn’t affected~”
I wanted to answer, but I had no energy left and could only blink.
“Hyung.”
“Ehe~ You thought retirement was that easy, little bro?”
This time I couldn’t hold back my anger.
“What the hell is this? Even bad luck has limits—how is this cursed? I came here planning to work hard, and now I’m dying from explosions, getting stabbed, and the workplace itself is gone?!”
“Little bro… life doesn’t always go as planned—!”
“UAAAAAHHHH!!”
I collapsed and screamed.
“Oh. Jinho-ssi is crying.”
“Mmm. This is the second stage of accepting grief—anger…”
“Then, when you retire, can the girl take you away?”
The people around me each tossed out comments while watching my breakdown. None of them offered any comfort.
Really.
Those bastards…

Only after some time had passed could I accept the situation and discuss what lay ahead.
Inside the convenience store with its “Business Closed” sign posted, Kim Gichan and Maria gathered in the untouched eating area.
For reference, the Demon King patted my back a few times and left for his own dimension, saying he’d come back later. He even forgot to remind me to tell him personally when I retired.
“How do we handle this?”
I glared at both Kim Gichan and Maria. Maria, who was actually being a little embarrassed, avoided my eyes.
“If you glare that hard, the kid gets scared.”
“Then should we be more scared here?”
“That’s what you said.”
Kim Gichan shrugged.
“First, I contacted the store manager, but he’s on a business trip and can’t come right now.”
“When will he get here?”
“Next Monday.”
Even tomorrow would have been too late.
“And the Visor, who was supposed to arrive tomorrow for the Backroom issue, is coming soon.”
That made sense. Since the store was no longer in normal operation, it had to be an emergency call.
“Let’s clearly define responsibility.”
When the Visor arrived, rambling would only sour relations between us. It was better to sort out who was responsible for how much.
“Isn’t there responsibility on your end too, since you were there?”
“The store operation management side will be implicated, I guess. The Miss is the main one. And you’re also responsible as the guarantor.”
“What about those two horned beings? They wouldn’t have been involved if it weren’t for them.”
That part stung. There had been similar cases before.
But in situations like this, it was rare for a store to be held responsible by customers.
Real-world drifter handling was the police’s job, but the store itself couldn’t be legally blamed for follow-up actions.
“It could have ended with just a shouting match. Not that it would have happened, but since the Miss used force before the collision, we can’t assign responsibility for hypothetical outcomes.”
Even Kim Gichan, who knew the facts, sounded skeptical.
“I’m sorry…”
Maria, having listened to my scolding for two hours, seemed to realize what she had done.
“I’ll be more obedient with my prayers from now on…!”
That statement was canceled.
“Don’t use it!”
I couldn’t hold back and yanked Maria’s cheek.
“In-ho-hee… arya-heo-yo-o… ang sl-he-yo…”
I still wasn’t convinced.
Should I just throw it at the Dimensional Control Bureau?
“Uuu…”
Maria rubbed her pulled cheek and looked like she was about to cry.
Ding-ding.
Just then, the sound of the convenience store door opening rang out. I thought she hadn’t seen the “Business Closed” sign and stood up to look.
“Customer, our store is currently not ope—”
I stopped mid-sentence.
A demon in a suit stepped through the door. An adult male with long horns, round glasses.
The demon ignored the broken shelves and shattered window and walked steadily across the store toward the eating area. While I and Maria were reacting to the new arrival, Kim Gichan’s voice came through.
“You’re here, Visor.”
The demon Kim Gichan called “Visor” entered the eating area and sat in the only remaining chair at the table.
Through the glasses, sharp pupils were visible. It felt completely different from the Demon King or the other demon secretary behind him.
“Oh, sorry for rushing here on purpose.”
Kim Gichan deliberately played it up in the tense atmosphere. But the demon didn’t respond and placed a black folder on the table with a cold, businesslike manner.
“I have received the report.”
However, the Visor simply turned the pages of the folder one by one in a stiff tone.
“Current time, 17:42:15. CS25 Sanctum City Branch.”
“U-um, Visor-nim. This is—”
“We have confirmed the damage and business suspension.”
But the Visor ignored Kim Gichan’s words.
“I will now begin calculating the damage amount and distributing responsibility.”
He only spoke with a cool, glasses-glinting tone.
