[Anonymous Entertainment Chat] Eternal’s Puppy-and-Cat Buddies Friendship Destroyed on SimDal lol (feat. tiny maknae cameo) (Super long post) [308]
[Excerpt from the 2X1222 SimDal special DJ Hound and the real-friends crew! Surprise phone link? Guests too!?? | Full ver.]
[The puppy-and-cat portion of this SimDal phone quiz](This is even funnier if you watch the video because of In-woo’s speech style lol)
?: (panicked) Hey, hey, hey, Go Young, what’s my hobby?
?: Keeping records.
?: What sport do I like?
?: Billiards? Didn’t you show me a video of that before?
?: Pick one of the water sports.
?: Swimming... maybe.
?: ...Then the food I eat often.
?: (clears throat) Peanut butter sandwiches.
...
?: Time’s up.
?: Zero points.
?: Wow... zero points? (utterly dead inside lol)
?: Do you play Minesweeper or something?
From the moment he asked about food, In-woo had decided, “Let’s see who wins,” and after that all he kept hearing were questions like “What do I like?” and “What do I eat?”—and Go Young-in still got every one wrong, unbelievable lol
He begged and begged for another chance to answer, then proceeded to get everything wrong anyway
Jiho from that other group called our guy and asked the exact same questions, and there he got everything right except one, which made the comparison even worse, damn
In-woo knew it was a joke, so even when Jiho kept needling him he brushed it off at first, but then he got pissed way too late lol
Why?
The reason the text says feat. Maknae shows up here. Eternal fans probably already noticed by now
[Excerpt from the Y Magazine interview]
Q. Do you have any hobbies you enjoy in your daily life?
Jae-ho: Leaving records of the day’s work.
Q. You’re remarkably wholesome.
Jae-ho: It’s a habit.
[Zero One 1st Anniversary NEW Profile]
Favorite sports
Jae-ho: Billiards, swimming
[Early Zero One K-broadcast music show waiting-room interview]
PD: Jae-ho, is there any food you’re really into these days?
Jae-ho: None.
PD: Then is there anything you eat often?
Jae-ho: Peanut butter sandwiches.
PD: Is there a reason?
Jae-ho: It’s a habit.
See how all the answers Young-in gave were actually Jae-ho’s, not In-woo’s? Those were the answers Jae-ho gave in magazine interviews, self-produced content profiles, and the like all along
Did one of the writers happen to be a fan of the Eternal bunch? They even pointed that out lol
?: Ah. We have a tip.
?: What kind of tip?
?: Apparently, the answers Young-in just gave belong to someone else—not In-woo.
?: (Kyeon-confused)
?: They say it’s Jae-ho.
?: You, you litt—
In-woo’s offended face is so funnyㅠㅠㅠ
Still, he answered everything in the bonus round later on.
?: Is it even possible for a so-called friend not to know what food I like?
?: I’m joking. You like chestnuts. And, uh, shrimp too…
?: Why don’t you go ahead and say mango too.
Of course, he didn’t say they were correct ^^
As Eternal fans know, In-woo’s basically the prince of allergies. Mango, chestnuts, shrimp, peanuts, shellfish, and so on,,ㅠㅠ He’s got a whole shopping list of food allergies, and on top of that he’s allergic to dog hair too, ^Kyeon^ In-woo,,,
Peanuts were one of them, so when he answered peanut butter sandwiches I thought, no way. But everything Young-in mentioned was food In-woo can’t eat because of allergies. Even as a joke, it means he remembers each and every one of them. Go Young is so attentive ㅠ
Anyway, you guys, please patch up this friendship somehow... hwaiting ^^;;
And the stuff after this is insane too...

>> Guys, my image of Young-in just changed,,, I’ve seriously never seen him joke around like that before. Even in self-produced content, this is a rare sight,,,,,
└ He looks weirdly experienced at joking around. In-woo gets mad but still takes every hit lol. They’re definitely besties.
>> The leader really dotes on the maknae, huh. He remembered all that? He never talks about stuff like that, so we had no idea
>> Shit lol It’s so obvious he’s deliberately getting them wrong. Young-in, you’re way too serious about teasing your friends
>> He’s selling out members just to polish his image.
└ Stop reading it that way. What kind of twisted mind do you have to look at the boys playing around and see that? Even a twisted breadstick isn’t as warped as you.
>> There’ve already been tons of trolls saying the two are on bad terms lately, so this should calm things down a bit, huh.
└ 2222222 People go feral from jumping to conclusions based on tiny fragments.
└ Calm down? Please. The reason people said anything in the first place wasn’t because of Go Young-in; it was because of Pyo Jae-ho’s behavior. Jae-ho’s still the same, though? lol
└ It’ll only increase the number of deluded solo stans of Go Young-in whining that our poor boy isn’t respected by his teammate and then beating everyone up.
Without thinking, Go Young-in had been skimming down the text when he stopped scrolling.
No... it was true that he’d gone in planning to deliberately miss the answers with a shamelessly blatant strategy, but he’d only said whatever came to mind.
He hadn’t expected every one of those answers to match Pyo Jae-ho’s interview replies from the past.
At least the reaction wasn’t bad. That was a relief.
Since the situation had been unexpected, he’d looked around in a few places, but all he found were people fighting in cipher-like messages that sometimes made no sense to him. Thankfully, it didn’t seem bad enough to warrant serious criticism.
I had no idea Pyo Jae-ho had even done interviews like that. I don’t remember them at all.
What was more, peanut butter sandwiches had been one of the questions he actually knew, so he’d answered with confidence, thinking he should at least get one right. And even that had been wrong.
So peanuts were an allergy too, not just mango. Was everything I remembered Kyeon In-woo liking actually something he was allergic to?
Seeing it only now, after reading the comments, made him wonder whether there were countless things he’d done up until now without realizing it, just as he wasn’t realizing things now.
It felt like stray fragments from the past were starting to pour out of his mouth without passing through his brain, and somehow that was even beginning to affect the broadcast.
If he didn’t stay even a little alert, the flow of his thoughts would wander off on its own.
This could end up turning out a lot like the Kyeon In-woo incident if I’m not careful. Still, at least this was only trivial stuff. That was a relief.
Mental breakdown, you crazy bastard. With little noises and static starting to pile up everywhere at once, both the status window and the things he had to pay attention to had doubled.
Better take the supplements before I forget...
Go Young-in shook his head and opened the studio door.
The door lock clicked open. The moment he pulled the handle and stepped forward out of habit, something under his foot crunched softly beneath him.
I definitely cleaned this up before I left yesterday, didn’t I?
When he looked down, several sheets of paper with sheet music sketched on them were scattered all over the floor.
Go Young-in reached for the light switch on the wall.
As the dark interior brightened, the full scene came into view.
What had been neatly organized until yesterday had become a total wreck overnight. Papers were strewn across the floor, the glass table was shattered into powder, the equipment had all been yanked from its cords, the monitors were wrecked, and even the chair had been knocked over onto the floor...
Forget “nothing goes wrong,” you bastard.
If trouble was going to happen, couldn’t it at least happen one thing at a time, in order?
Looking at the studio, tossed about as if a burglar had come through, Go Young-in gave a hollow laugh.
* * *
The culprit showed up on his own before Go Young-in even got around to checking the CCTV by the entrance.
At most, they looked about middle school age. The kids shuffled forward behind Kang Ba-da, the head of the New Talent Development Team, all of them looking timid.
They were trainees from the company.
Had there been trainees like this? They were all unfamiliar faces, and every one of them looked drained, their complexions dulled to a gloomy gray.
So they know they messed up, at least.
Most of the company sound-team composers kept private studios outside the agency, so there weren’t many occasions for them to use the shared studio.
The people who came in and out of the shared studio were mostly company artists who composed despite not having a studio of their own, like Go Young-in, or trainees who took composition lessons at the company.
It wasn’t as if outsiders could just walk into the company whenever they pleased, so he assumed it wasn’t the work of an outside intruder. It also wasn’t strange for trainees to use the studio. Still, this was an unexpected situation.
The smallest, youngest-looking trainee in the group—the one with yellow hair—came out as their representative and bowed his head.
“I’m sorry... We were filming a Pintok video, and without realizing it we got too caught up in it... The thing is, it went up, and we really didn’t think it would actually break.”
Pintok was the short-form video platform that was popular these days. User numbers were rising by the day, and because it was so useful for promotion, the company was trying to use it actively as well.
Thanks to that, the trend used to be to forbid trainees from having personal social media accounts, but recently, with the company’s permission, they were even encouraging it.
Even so, how does anyone think it makes sense to climb onto a glass table together just to film a video, then break the thing?
Go Young-in looked at the glass shards scattered miserably across the floor. What had once been a glass table was now reduced to a bare skeleton.
The yellow-haired trainee, who had been watching his face nervously the whole time, noticed where his gaze had fallen and stammered on.
“It really was an accident. I don’t usually do things like this...”
He was puzzled. Fine, he understood that, but why was he apologizing to him?
If this had been a private studio, he could have understood, but this was a shared studio everyone at the company could use.
I think the person he should be apologizing to is someone else.
Baek Geon sidled over and whispered quietly.
“Hey, Young-in. Just let this one slide, okay?”
“Pardon?”
“That kid who came out as the representative over there is a guy who came to audition for this company because he thought you looked amazing when you danced. Cut him some slack. If things go well, he could end up being your junior.”
“I see.”
Out of all the idols in the world, why this one?
“There’s no reason for me to be the one apologizing. As long as no one got hurt, that’s what matters.”
The yellow head, who had basically tripped over his own feet with nerves, hurriedly spoke up. Whatever the reason, he seemed so tense that he couldn’t keep still.
“You’ll be using it next time anyway! You always use it at the same time, so, um...”
He probably would have known if he’d checked the schedule in advance.
“It’s fine. Hey, um...”
What’s your name again?
They didn’t really interact, so nothing came to mind. Go Young-in felt slightly awkward. It was clumsy to address him by a placeholder, and...
“It’s not something our friend needs to worry about.”
“...”
The yellow-haired trainee suddenly pulled the corners of his mouth down. He looked deflated, as if he’d been scolded, even though he hadn’t been. He was muttering something under his breath, too. He looked disappointed, as though he’d been let down by something.
Before long, the other trainees, who seemed to be from the same year, were comforting the yellow-haired one, who had gone sullen.
“Tae-seo, it’s okay. That’s just how Young-in is. You can get close to him.”
Even Kang Ba-da had joined in with the trainees, coaxing him along.
No... I didn’t even get angry. I said it was fine, so why...
Where on earth had the idea of getting close in this situation come from? Startled, Go Young-in quickly added,
“Really. It really has nothing to do with our friend.”
“Our friend...”
“Yes?”
“No... yes...”
Whatever he said, the kid didn’t just fail to get discouraged—he looked as if he had a specialty in making other people feel discouraged. Watching the yellow-haired trainee shrink every time he opened his mouth, Go Young-in was thrown off.
It was meant to be considerate, but it seemed he still didn’t understand the boy very well. Then again, there wasn’t much more he could do for him.
And then, all at once, he had the strange sense that this situation felt familiar.
Pyo Jae-ho never acted like this when he was that age. This is hard. So hard...
As he stared blankly at the group of trainees following Kang Ba-da back toward the practice rooms, Baek Geon poked him lightly.
“Hey, looks like this is the video they shot.”
Go Young-in turned his gaze to the screen playing in front of him.
