Bug Cut!!!
This is it.
Sparks flew inside CloudySky's head.
She had to admit it—FuzzyWheelSlayer's Lulu play and overall mechanics were impressive enough to draw admiration even from her. But when you looked at the big picture, FuzzyWheelSlayer's game sense didn't even reach Platinum level.
The proof was right in front of them. Every single Glen pick was getting completely suppressed by Goro.
Magic Swordsman-Laine. Spearman-Lulu. Knight-Royer. Viking-Harald.
None of them could even breathe against Goro. The current solo queue meta was built entirely around Goro mirrors or the occasional joker pick of a long-range carry sent to the Glen just to counter him.
It had gotten so bad that even CloudySky herself had started playing her Magic Swordsman in the mid lane to avoid the matchup.
The Lancer, Archer, Mage, and Priest that FuzzyWheelSlayer had mentioned were all desperate attempts to force counters into the Glen from other roles.
Sure, they might beat Goro in the early game... but the risk was obviously enormous, and the efficiency was terrible.
A Lancer was far more valuable as a jungler, and the other long-range carries would fall hopelessly behind in levels because the Glen gave far less baseline experience than the central lane.
The Glen lane had inherently poor experience efficiency. The only way to make up for it was by securing the Feather of Morrigan that spawned periodically in the center.
In other words, long-range carries were forced to walk straight onto the feather. And they had to stand perfectly still for the full three seconds it took to collect.
What happened when a fragile long-range carry was forced to do that right in front of a terrifying bruiser—one who could instantly swap weapons and use two mobility skills in the same fight?
They died. Instantly. No question about it.
That was why long-range carries could never contest the feather. At the same time, Goro was under too much pressure to safely collect it either.
And that favored Goro. Long-range carries had low base stats to compensate for their long attack range.
Goro, however, was a melee character. On top of that, he enjoyed the ridiculous developer favoritism given to new releases, granting him overwhelmingly superior base stats.
If both sides had to grow from poverty, Goro would always come out ahead.
This was exactly why, inside the Celt gallery, FuzzyWheelSlayer was known as someone who could play 1v1s well but had no clue how to actually play the game.
What? Goro is weak at 1v1s? Can't do anything against Lancers, Mages, or Archers?
Complete bullshit.
That's why that idiot is stuck in Master.
CloudySky sneered to herself.
If the player actually understood the game, their physical mechanics were easily good enough to hit Challenger.
She immediately started typing up her post.
She unleashed every bit of hatred she'd been bottling up for months.
You picked the perfect day to piss me off.
After posting, CloudySky thought she might have gone a little too far with the language.
But the rage that had boiled over while she was writing made her snatch up every harsh word she normally avoided.
Months of accumulated anger. The massive pool of magma hidden beneath the surface had found a small vent and was now erupting with enough force to destroy everything around it.
It wasn't all that different from the Yellowstone supervolcano explosion hypothesis—one of the theories for a mass extinction event. At least, that's how it felt in CloudySky's heart.
She had always drawn a clear line between herself and the trash that filled the Celt gallery... but perhaps, just perhaps, some of their filth had rubbed off on her without her realizing.
To think she was now using the exact same words as those degenerates.
She finally understood the saying: if you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you.
She took a sip of water to cool her head, which had grown feverishly hot while writing the post.
Glug.
Refresh.
Refresh.
Refresh.
Refresh.
...Oh.
There they are. Finally showed up.
Naked Dogeza certification?
Tap. Tap-tap-tap.
“......”
She typed out, Instead of that, could you please upload a photo of you hanging from the ceiling after kicking the chair away? then furiously backspaced and deleted everything.
Ahem. I'll let it slide at that level.
She was grateful they had added such a condition themselves.
Well, this should be more than enough to drive them out of the gallery. If they actually lost, they would obviously just run away without uploading proof anyway.
It didn't matter what they bet.
That's what she told herself.
CloudySky immediately logged into her younger sister's account, entered the room name and password, and joined the private lobby. Three spectators were already inside.
Why are they so fast? I entered the moment I launched the game. Were they already waiting with the client open?
She moved straight to the opposing side. The game began immediately.
She picked Goro without hesitation. This was the perfect version, released only recently and not yet nerfed.
An emergency hotfix would arrive the very next morning after this duel, but that was still a story from a future CloudySky hadn't reached.
She knew an enormous amount about Goro. After all, she had drained every last drop of information from the test server while creating YouTube content.
On top of that, she had analyzed Goro's mechanics countless times in private matches to prepare tip posts for the Celt gallery later.
Thanks to that, she knew most of the bug-level skills Goro could perform.
Of course many had been patched, but several had slipped through undetected and made it to the live servers.
The moment she discovered them, she had prayed they wouldn't get fixed and kept her mouth shut.
She was a shrewd businesswoman in that regard—spreading the bugs and skills after they hit the live servers would drive up her YouTube views.
At this point in time, no player understood Goro better than she did. CloudySky could say that with confidence.
A character with broken specs, paired with one-sided psychological warfare the opponent couldn't possibly prepare for.
And now, near-perfect mastery of Goro that felt like an extension of her own body.
There was no way she could lose.
The match ended in the early phase.
The disgusting psychopath known as FuzzyWheelSlayer was completely fooled by a bug-level psychological trick they had never seen before.
The thrill left CloudySky almost dizzy.
It felt even better than the day she had been chosen by a stray cat and given the name CloudySky.
She threw both arms into the air and shouted.
It felt like a thousand-year-old lump of indigestion had finally been flushed out.
Like every bit of pain from the past month had been completely healed.
She couldn't stop smiling. Her mind was filled with pure happiness.
She poured every last ounce of that feeling into the all-chat, spamming it with pure mockery.
