Have Confidence, Son
"Son. Have some confidence. A guy like you won't hear anywhere that you can't kiss. No one would peg you as a beginner. Strictly speaking, you're not one anyway. Hehe."
I'd just kissed Mom again moments ago. She'd suggested we do it beforehand, before she ate one of those fruits and the pain hit. I accepted because I was scared of the stomachache and because we had to uncover the map anyway. So, after our little kissing session, Mom and I set off to illuminate the map.
As you can see, Mom wasted no time teasing me the second we started out.
"Mom, come on. Let's uncover the map first."
I'd loved the kiss, but it made me a bit embarrassed, so I focused on the mapping.
We were deep into it when—
"Son. There's a pond over there."
A pond appeared ahead of us. It was a beautiful one with crystal-clear water flowing through it. Mom headed straight over, scooped up some water in her hands, and drank. We'd been getting our hydration solely from those fruits, so this water was a godsend.
"Ahh—tastes great. You drink some too, son. Seems fine."
"Yeah, got it."
Hearing it from Mom, the Healer, it seemed like just safe water. I cupped some in my hands like she did and drank.
They say changing water can make you sick... Should I ask for a kiss?
I'd heard that in foreign countries, different water often leads to tummy troubles. It bugged me, but asking for a kiss first felt awkward.
Splash.
While I pondered, Mom jumped right into the pond.
"Ahh—feels so refreshing. Come on in, son. Let's wash up here."
We hadn't been able to bathe since yesterday, despite sweating buckets. I took her up on it and leaped in after her.
"Mom."
"What?"
I called out to her, then gathered water in my hands and splashed her.
Splat!
"Youuu!"
Splat. Splat. Splat.
We went at it, splashing each other like crazy. Naturally, as the guy and the Warrior, I had the upper hand—Mom just got drenched unilaterally.
"I surrender! I surrender, son. Please stop. I'm begging you."
Her white flag made me feel great. I halted my assault. She mounted a few counterattacks after, but I let her have those.
"Haa. Haa."
Playing in the water that hard wore us out. I sprawled on a big, clean rock. Mom came over beside me.
Drenched, she looked like a goddess. I stared blankly as my sexy-clad mom approached, and I didn't move even when she straddled me.
Smack. Smooch. Slurp.
Mom's tongue boldly invaded my mouth. We shared a scorching kiss like that.
"You drank the water here, right? If it makes you sick, we're screwed—so I healed you preemptively."
After the kiss, she lay beside me and explained.
Congratulations.
Mission successful.
5,000,000 won has been deposited into each of your primary bank accounts.
Another day passed.
"Mom. We're almost done."
"Yeah. It's the end."
Map completion was at 99.9%. A bit further, and it hit 100%.
"Son. You think the money really got deposited?"
"Don't worry, Mom. The Tower only speaks the truth. And it said the government can't touch the payouts, so no taxes either."
"For real? That's wild."
"What's so wild? This is the Tower that summons us instantly. This is nothing."
"True that."
A Tower that summons people, makes them climb, and gives missions—making bank deposits and shielding them from taxes is peanuts. We couldn't figure out how anyway, so we focused on what we could gain here.
Hunt the wild boar.
📍 The wild boar will spawn in 30 minutes. Location marked on minimap.
📍 Size and ferocity of the human-attacking wild boar determined randomly at spawn.
📍 The initial cave is designated a safe zone.
"Son. It says we have to hunt a wild boar?"
Mom checked the new mission and asked what to do.
"This is Warrior work—for me. First, let's head back to that cave we came from. It's safe."
"Yeah. Let's."
A human-attacking wild boar was spawning. With safe zones marked, things were getting serious. Mom and I decided to return to our starting cave.
Map fully uncovered, we took the shortest path using it, no sweat.
As the cave neared—
Wild boar spawning.
I manipulated the minimap in midair, shrinking it. Spawn location clear as day.
"Mom."
"What?"
"A boar's spawned around us."
"R-Really? I'm scared."
"I've got you. Trust me and hustle."
"...Okay."
It had spawned nearby. Just a red dot on the map—no details on looks or size yet. We hurried. Knowing it attacked humans sped our steps.
"Son. The boar's coming our way?"
"Yeah."
Minimap distance closing. I grabbed Mom's arm, yanked, and ran.
"Huff. Huff. Huff. Son, Mom's dying here."
She tired fast. My Warrior strength kept me fine, but not her as Healer.
No time.
Minimap flashing red now. Danger signal, no doubt. I crouched, arms back.
"Mom. Hop on."
"Huh?"
"Get on my back, quick."
"...Okay, son."
She climbed on. I stood and bolted. She wasn't heavy, but piggybacking isn't easy. Normally I'd struggle beyond a slow walk, but Warrior powers made sprinting bearable—thank god.
Thud-thud. Thud-thud. Thud-thud.
Eyes on minimap, I charged ahead.
Almost there.
The cave area showed green on minimap—safety. I pushed through the burn, no stopping.
"Son. Th-the boar's visible."
I glanced back.
What the hell! It's huge.
Tiger-sized boar. No stopping, no matter what.
"Snort. Snort. Squeeee!"
The wild boar spotted us and charged with a freakish cry.
"You got this, son!"
It barreled full tilt—distance vanishing. Minimap let me gauge perfectly.
Just run.
We'd make the green zone by a hair. I zigzagged minimally for shortest path to safety.
"Squeee. Squeeee!"
Freaky noises right behind. Minimap confirmed: right there.
"Take that, you pig!"
I leaped hard. Landed in the safe zone.
Splat.
I tumbled inside. But it was fine. The boar halted the instant we hit green.
"Huff. Huff. Phew— we lived. Huff. Huff."
Ragged breaths. Then I checked Mom.
"Mom. You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good. But... you?"
"Why?"
"Your face and body are all red. Looks like you're hurt."
I checked HP: down to 87%.
"Oh, this? I scraped my face on the ground tumbling in. Probably showing that wound."
"Gotcha. Does it hurt?"
"Outside Warrior Mode? Hell yeah. Lucky it's just HP down, no pain."
"Good. Let's heal right now."
Mom couldn't leave wounds be. No hesitation—she started healing.
Warrior Mode dulled pain, but healing was key. I watched her approach.
*Ptooey.*
She spat a bit on my cheek, rubbed it in with her hand.
"Knew it."
"Knew what?"
"Spit alone wouldn't heal. Licking's the way—confirmed."
"Ah, yeah."
Her words lit me up. Internal pain still meant kisses.
"Son. Lemme lick your face a bit."
"Since when do you ask permission?"
"Hehe. Fair."
She licked the scrapes from my tumble. HP shot back up—saliva spots healed, full 100% in no time.
"Thanks, Mom. I'm fully healed."
"Looks like it even to the naked eye. Glad you're okay, son."
Treatment done. Meanwhile, the boar wandered off. Cave area must be no-go for it.
We entered the cave for rest.
"Night now, Mom. Let's crash and plan the boar for tomorrow."
"You know Mom follows your lead. I trust you, Minseong."
She'd defer fully here—no complaints, no second-guessing. Grateful.
That was terrifying.
Boar charging from behind? Scary as hell. Without Warrior powers, I'd never even think of fighting.
Tomorrow: make weapons? Dig traps? Options galore.
Rocks and trees around. Minimap tracking it? This mission felt doable—courage surging.
