Farming Mandate and the Longevity Gene
My second sister, having tasted her own madness when we agreed to follow her lead, regained her composure after a moment and spoke calmly.
"I heard roughly before entering this world inside the Tower—farming failed, right? A total disaster? Then we'll survive on hunting and gathering for at least a year..., and with the Han River right next door, we won't starve thanks to fish and shellfish. In the meantime, we go all-in on farming. Everyone cooperate with me."
No one who had witnessed her frenzy could object. Mom and my fourth sister stepped up to endorse her words.
"Phew..., even this mom thinks second's right. So military operations are banned for now. I'll handle diplomacy with the surrounding tribes. And we need to set up some basic administrative procedures for this tribe.... Do you even know the exact number of tribespeople? No? I figured. There's no real administration right now. Guess I'll handle it myself."
"An intelligence department for spying on other tribes..., and a counterintelligence unit to block their spies..., hmm..., doesn't seem urgent right now. Still, can't let our guard down..., I'll take care of it. Like second sis said, food's the priority."
Mom and fourth sis took charge of their favorite fields and specialties: 'diplomacy-administration' and 'intelligence-counterintelligence.' But the top priority was securing ample food.
"Banning all military ops? Raiding's the surest way to secure food," I protested lightly to Mom.
But it was big sis, more than Mom, who stepped in and shut me down firmly.
"No. From now on, I hold all military command and disciplinary authority for this tribe. You won't move a single soldier without my permission."
"No way, that's bullshit. Why...! ...I'm the king!"
"Wanna try a coup? Behave when we're letting you play king nicely. Otherwise, go fuck your favorite sluts. I won't touch your harem. If you've got energy left, help second sis with farming. Building fields takes a ton of muscle. You're strong—put that raiding stamina to use helping her. And half your raiding urge is just wanting new girls, isn't it?"
Was she jealous of my overflowing harem of beauties? Maybe a little....
With over a thousand pretty girls in my harem, little sis—who'd seen it all and gotten used to it—was fine, but the rest of the family's glares weren't pretty. Better to play nice like they wanted for now. Humans are emotional creatures; even minor annoyances spark fights. I had that much sense.
Guess I'll listen to Mom, big sis, second sis, and fourth for a while.
I moped around with a gloomy face over the no-raiding edict, but after a few hours, big sis—maybe feeling she'd gone too far—sneaked up and whispered,
"Wanna grope my tits?"
"Hell yeah! And suck my dick! Oh, and I wanna finger your pussy!"
"...Sigh. So demanding. Fine."
She let me fondle her tits, then sucked my cock with expert care. After blasting a thick load down her throat-pussy, I fingered her slit until we both heated up and fucked. The other women in the family, seeing me going at it with big sis, subtly joined in for a sloppy family orgy. I knocked them all up.
About a year later.
Our tribe had fully settled in the Seoul Gangbuk area along the Han River, farming successfully and harvesting well. The system acknowledged it with a trial completion message.
Floor 9 Trial
"Lead the tribe to settle, farm, and increase the population to over 100." Completed.
As reward for completing Floor 9 Trial, you receive 100,000 points and 1 Evolution Gene Trait Skill Selection Ticket.
Co-entrants to this trial receive no separate completion rewards, but the main trial participant’s selected Evolution Gene Trait from the 1 Evolution Gene Trait Skill Selection Ticket will be identically applied to them as a special perk.
First additional trial for Floor 9: "Form a village, enter the Bronze Age, and increase population to over 1,000."
Complete village formation, Bronze Age entry, and population growth in any order.
You may now enter Floor 10 Trial.
"Huh? Trial's done."
"Yeah? So you got the evolution gene now?"
"Yeah, got the selection ticket. And it'll apply my choice to you all too? ...Oh, and the next additional trial is..., village formation, Bronze Age entry, and population over 1,000."
When I announced the trial completion, the women in my family huddled for a meeting to decide which gene I'd pick.
"Let's think about the options Seung-ho mentioned. But everyone already has something in mind, right?"
Big sis asked if we all had preferences, and second sis nodded.
"Yeah, sis. We've known this was coming."
"Mom, you sisters, and little sis each have different tastes for evolution genes? Like usual? Big sis military, second economic?"
"Mom thinks affinity would be good. Tribesfolk getting along without fights or petty squabbles."
Fourth suggested we'd each want different genes based on our priorities, while Mom pushed affinity for her diplomacy-loving side.
Then little sis shot her hand up, demanding attention for something crucial.
"Wait, I think there's one thing we'll all prioritize...."
"Huh? What do you think's most important, little sis? Not some research gene, culture, or religion one, right?"
"No, not that. Listen up. Longevity gene. This one. Best by far. Think about it—we don't age here, but our kids we birth in the Tower will grow old and die."
"““......”””
"To delay that even a bit.... And when we get back to reality? We don't age in the Tower, but outside we do. Longevity's top for that too."
"Ah..., yeah. True. Let's unify on longevity gene. I don't want my kids dying before me. Even if this is a Tower world, it's real enough. No one wants their child dying sooner, right? What do you think, Mom?"
"Right. That's best. On second thought, longevity's the way. Everyone agree? Yeah?"
"““Okay, aye.”””
The family women whispered among themselves and settled on using my 1 Evolution Gene Trait Skill Selection Ticket for the 'Longevity' gene. Simply put, a long-life gene.
The Longevity Gene goes from Lv.1 to Lv.10.
Lv.1 extends life by 20 years. Average 80-year lifespan becomes 100. Youth extends slightly too, but subtly. Per system description.
Lv.2 adds 60 years. Youth starts extending noticeably. Peak 20s physique lasts ~20 years longer. Women's fertility extends, delaying menopause; men's baldness too.
Lv.3 adds 100 years. Peak physique lasts ~40 more years—20s body from 20 to 60. Aging slows post-60, proportional to extended life.
Each level adds more: Lv.4 +150 years, Lv.5 +200. At Lv.5, average 80-year species lives to 280. Name changes to 'Long-lived Species Gene.'
Lv.6 +300, Lv.7 +400, Lv.8 +550. Lv.9 +750, becomes 'Immortal Long-lived Species.' Final Lv.10 adds 1,000 years.... At that point, basically elves, right?
