In One Word: Aggro Magnet
In one word: aggro magnet.
2 hours and 27 minutes remaining until 2F entry.
"The day we finally enter the second floor is here."
I checked the notification that popped up the moment I opened my eyes and said it to Yisul.
Of course, my room was a total wreck from the explosion incident, so I had no choice but to shamelessly share a bed with her. It was the same as yesterday in that I'd slept in her bed, but there was a world of difference between passing out in a chair and being carried over unconsciously versus lying down together and drifting off.
On that narrow single bed, with the two of us side by side, even with my small frame, our shoulders or hair would bump into each other.
So how did we handle it again?
Racking my brain, I remembered just grabbing Yisul's hand and pressing as close as possible to solve it. Better to stick together from the start than deal with awkward bumps that got on your nerves. Holding someone's hand to sleep was a first since elementary school, but it made me feel connected and helped me drift off more comfortably.
"I was debating whether to wake you since time's running short, but you're up. Shall we get ready to head to the second floor?"
Yisul replied matter-of-factly. She already looked mostly prepared.
Maybe because I'd turned into a kid, I needed more sleep these days—whenever I woke, the sun was blazing—but Yisul was the total opposite, always so diligent. I felt a twinge of respect for her.
Or maybe she couldn't sleep well from anxiety about entering the second floor?
Seeing her tossing and turning until I fell asleep last night had broken my heart. Especially since she'd suffered so much on the first floor, the psychological pressure must be huge for her. Weren't I the weird one for waking up so calmly without a care? Of course, that stemmed from being on Easy Mode alone, but she didn't know that yet.
"I'll go wash up first."
"No shampoo—just rinse off quick and come out."
"Got it."
One thing I'd learned after becoming a girl: long hair takes forever to wash and dry. Yesterday, after washing the sandstorm grime off my body and leaving my hair damp, Yisul had dried it for me. I'd had no no to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to
