The Changing Room Hideout
Just in case, this could have been a crime scene.
Yesterday’s words from Na Eun-young came rushing back—the rumor that the two main instigators of the hazing were committing illegal acts inside the hospital.
Could this actually be one of those crimes?
First things first, I needed evidence photos.
I pulled out my phone and opened the camera.
Click, click. I snapped the entire bag, the medicines inside, close-ups of the labels, the inside of the cabinet, and even the name tag “Park Mi-young” stuck to it.
I took more than twenty shots from different angles, just in case. They might come in handy as evidence later.
That was when I heard footsteps from the hallway. Tap, tap. They sounded like slippers, and they were getting closer.
My heart dropped straight into my stomach.
Then Na Eun-young’s words from yesterday echoed again.
“Night shift starts at ten-thirty and ends at six-thirty.”
I glanced at the clock on the changing room wall. 10:10. Twenty minutes before night shift began.
Someone was coming to change.
The footsteps drew nearer.
My heart pounded violently and my breathing grew ragged. Cold sweat coated my palms and my legs trembled uncontrollably.
It felt like I was standing at the crossroads between life and death.
This women’s nurses’ changing room was about to become the underworld, and that door was the River Jordan.
The moment it opened, I would be saying goodbye to the world of the living forever.
I considered hiding inside the head nurse’s cabinet, but the black bag full of medicine took up too much space. There was no room for a person.
I shut the cabinet door and spun the dial at random to lock it. I had to find another place to hide. Where? Where?
While I frantically scanned the room, the door suddenly opened.
Click.
“Ugh… Huh? What… What is this? Mr. Counselor…?”
The person who entered stared at me with her mouth hanging open.
Her eyes widened so much they looked ready to pop out, and pure shock spread across her entire face.
If there was one silver lining, it was this.
The person who had come in was Na Eun-young, the same nurse I had met yesterday.
“I… I mean… Please don’t misunderstand! There’s a good reason for this…!”
I tried to explain in a rush, but the words wouldn’t come out properly.
Yesterday I had clearly been a man, yet here I was now, standing in the women’s nurses’ changing room dressed in a female nurse uniform.
From Na Eun-young’s perspective, this had to be impossible to believe. Even I wouldn’t have believed it if I were in her shoes.
“Um, this is…”
Just as I tried to explain, I heard chattering voices from the hallway. Multiple people.
Laughter mixed in, and footsteps were approaching fast. Other nurses were coming.
I was finished. Goodbye, world.
My vision darkened and my legs started to give out when Na Eun-young suddenly grabbed my wrist.
“Get in here, quickly!”
She flung open her own cabinet and shoved me inside.
My body was crammed into the narrow space, and a moment later Na Eun-young squeezed in after me.
The cabinet door clicked shut.
Pitch-black darkness swallowed us.
Our bodies were pressed tightly together inside the dark, cramped cabinet. It was far too small for even one person, let alone two. I could barely breathe.
The metal walls felt cold against my back and elbows. Clothes hanging from the rack above brushed against our faces.
The scent of fabric softener from Na Eun-young’s casual clothes and the faint aroma of her body lotion lingered at the tip of my nose.
Our faces were forced so close that our noses were barely a finger’s width apart. If either of us lowered our heads even slightly, our foreheads would touch.
Even in the darkness, I could see Na Eun-young’s large, round eyes faintly gleaming.
Our eight limbs had tangled together like a single knot.
My right arm was wedged behind her hips, while my left arm was pinned against the cabinet wall and had already gone numb.
Her knee was trapped between my thighs, and her hand seemed to be resting somewhere on my chest.
There was no room to move.
Above all else, the heavy weight of her breasts pressed against my chest, instantly making me hard.
The erection tented my skirt and pushed straight between her legs.
I could feel her hot breath. Warm air puffed regularly against the underside of my chin. She was breathing fast too, clearly tense.
Huff, huff, huff. Short, rapid breaths tickled my neck.
And then I heard heartbeats.
At first I thought it was my own.
Thump, thump, thump—racing wildly. But I quickly realized there were two hearts beating at once.
Because her chest was pressed so tightly against mine, I could feel her heartbeat directly through my skin.
Thump. Thump. Thump. Our hearts beat out of sync, creating a strange rhythm.
I could feel her body trembling ever so slightly. I didn’t know if it was from tension, fear, or sheer embarrassment at the situation.
I was trembling too. My entire body had gone rigid with nerves and my fingertips had turned cold.
Outside the cabinet, the nurses’ voices could be heard. Chattering. Laughter.
The sound of cabinet doors opening and closing. Footsteps. Someone walked right past the cabinet we were hiding in.
My heart felt like it had stopped. No, I wished it would stop.
I didn’t want the woman pressed against me to hear how loudly my heart was pounding—louder than any drum.
In this tiny space, if my heart kept beating this noisily, she would definitely notice. The thought was mortifying.
Facing a woman at such close range in the dark felt almost violent.
Even in the darkness I could see her eyes shining, and every time her breath brushed near my lips, my whole body stiffened.
Unable to bear it, I turned my face this way and that until I finally spotted a small gap in the cabinet at eye level.
I wasn’t sure if it was a vent or something else, but there was a narrow slit about two fingers wide. My view was limited, yet I could still peek into the changing room.
The world I saw through that tiny gap in the metal cabinet felt like a separate realm at the bottom of a well.
Within that narrow frame, nurses were changing clothes.
Some were taking off their white uniforms and putting on casual clothes, while others were doing the opposite. A few were tying their hair in front of the mirror.
Five or six women were casually changing, and one was even lounging in her sky-blue bra and panties while looking at her phone.
My erection, trapped between her legs, twitched like a fish out of water and lightly tapped against her. Shame flooded through me.
Eun-bi’s sticky fluids, still inside me from earlier, were slowly leaking out and trickling down my thighs.
I squeezed my eyes shut.
I wasn’t supposed to be looking. A man—dressed as a woman, no less—hiding in the women’s changing room and peeking at nurses undressing was clearly a crime.
Taking photos of the medicine earlier could at least be rationalized as pursuing justice, but this had no excuse.
Yet when I closed my eyes, the other sensations became even more vivid.
Na Eun-young’s body heat pressed against me, her soft breath, her heartbeat. It only made things more awkward.
In the end, I opened my eyes again.
Looking outside was still better. At least then I wouldn’t have to focus so intensely on her.
Honestly, that was just an excuse. Deep down, I simply wanted to feel the overwhelming guilt and excitement of secretly watching women change in their locker room.
This place, beyond the great river called transgression, was both paradise and hell at once, and it carried a strange sweetness.
Just then, as if to stop me from peeking, Eun-young bumped her forehead hard against my temple.
“Ow…”
The sound slipped out reflexively. My body jerked and the cabinet rattled softly.
The metallic clink echoed inside the narrow space and my heart plummeted.
“Stop peeking at the women’s changing room…”
She whispered.
“I’m sorry…”
The apology came out as nothing more than a faint murmur, so quiet it would have been lost if she weren’t listening closely.
But inside this cabinet, even a pin dropping would have been audible, so she heard it clearly.
At that moment, a voice came from outside.
“Hey, didn’t that cabinet just shake?”
My heart stopped.
“Huh? Where?”
“Over there. Eun-young’s cabinet. I definitely heard something.”
“Really? I didn’t notice.”
“No, it definitely rattled. Should we open it?”
Footsteps approached.
Tap, tap. Someone was walking straight toward us.
Na Eun-young’s body began trembling harder, and I held my breath, every muscle locked tight.
Please, please, please.
The footsteps stopped right in front of the cabinet. I heard fingers gripping the handle.
In one second, the door would open and the nurses would see me dressed like this.
The gates of hell were about to swing wide.
It was over.
Just as the world outside seemed to brighten while my vision darkened, the changing room door burst open with a loud bang.
“What do you think you’re doing?! It’s already ten-thirty! Night shift has started and you’re still standing around gossiping?”
A cold, sharp voice froze the entire room.
Through the gap in the cabinet, I caught a glimpse of a slender woman standing in the doorway. Her hair was pulled back tightly, her eyes were sharp, and the corners of her mouth turned down—exactly as Eun-young had described.
I recognized her instantly.
It was Head Nurse Park Mi-young.
