Common Sense Alteration - Professor Kim's Home Visit (1)
Monday, early morning. I was stuck in my dorm room, wrestling with a serious dilemma.
"...What should I eat?"
Worrying about breakfast in the dorm wasn't exactly common. Most days you just ate whatever the cafeteria served and got on with it. But today...
"Buried burdock, tomatoes, eggplant side dish, seaweed pickles...? What the hell is this?"
The morning menu combinations were sometimes truly unacceptable. For someone with a kid's palate like mine, it was downright horrifying—especially with tomatoes thrown in. Still, the real problem wasn't the cafeteria food. This happened now and then, and on those days I usually just skipped breakfast and went back to sleep. But today I couldn't do that.
Grumble.
I'd skipped both lunch and dinner yesterday. After the church bazaar, I'd spent an incredibly satisfying time with So-yeon noona thanks to the quest. Sweaty and thoroughly spent, I'd showered, played games with Taeyoung for a few hours, then crashed early. When I woke up at 4 a.m., my stomach was empty and sleep wouldn't come back. By the time I realized it, morning had arrived.
Now, standing in front of the cafeteria menu, I could only stare in despair. Taeyoung was still sound asleep in his bed. I was left to suffer alone.
"...What should I eat?"
I considered delivery, but nothing on the apps looked appealing. In the end, I decided on the handmade burger place near the back gate. I liked the restaurants there more than the ones at the main gate. The burger shop opened early, and after getting fresh allowance money from Mom yesterday, I had plenty of cash.
"Yeah. Handmade burger it is."
I changed out of my pajamas, left the dorm, and headed for the back gate. The crisp morning air wrapped around me.
"It's spring, but it's still cold."
At 8 a.m., a few students taking zero-period classes were walking through the gate. I never signed up for those; waking up early was too much trouble. The students heading in now probably had no choice—required major courses or something. Their faces looked tired.
Grumble.
"Did they even have breakfast?"
I kept walking toward the burger place, watching the other students. My stomach was growling and the air was chilly, but the thought of a juicy burger kept me going. Then, just past the gate, a cute, childish voice reached my ears.
"Hello!"
I turned toward the sound. The familiar building of Nuri Daycare Center stood right beside the back gate. It was run by the Nuri Foundation and served as a training site for early-childhood education students. I passed it often.
A little boy was being dropped off. The teacher greeted him warmly.
"Yoon-woo~ Good morning~ Did you have a nice dream last night?"
"Uh-huh. Teacher. I ate something yummy in my dream."
The mother standing behind the boy corrected him gently.
"Yoon-woo, you should say 'Yes,' not 'Uh-huh,' to the teacher."
"Yes."
She wore a form-fitting gray dress that hugged every curve—full hips, a narrow waist, and generous breasts that were impossible to ignore even from behind. Her hair was tied up, revealing a slender, elegant neck. The long sleeves and hem that reached just above her ankles gave her a classic "missy look."
I stopped dead in my tracks, completely captivated. Thankfully, the two women were busy talking and didn't notice me.
"Please take good care of Yoon-woo."
"Don't worry, ma'am. Yoon-woo~ Shall we go meet your friends?"
"Yes~"
Before the boy went inside, his mother crouched down and tapped his shoulder.
"Yoon-woo~ Give Mommy a kiss on the cheek before you go~"
"Ppo-bbo~"
Smack.
The boy planted a kiss on her cheek. From where I stood, I got an excellent view of her round, plump backside—peach-like and irresistibly sexy.
"Now Mommy's turn~"
"Yes~"
She pulled his face toward her and showered him with rapid kisses—both cheeks, nose, lips, forehead, eyes—until the boy was giggling uncontrollably.
"Hihihit! Hahing! Mommy, stop! Hehehe!"
"Don't wanna~ Mommy's gonna keep kissing our Yoon-woo~"
Only after covering his face in kisses did she finally stop, gently stroking his hair. The sight was warm and full of love. The teacher led the boy inside while the woman waved until the door closed. Then she turned around.
And I saw her face.
"...Huh?"
Cha Eun-ju. Porcelain skin, striking Western features, and an unbelievably mature, voluptuous body. She was the older sister of Cha Eun-young, the famous mixed-heritage student on campus—and the woman I'd slept with while pretending to be a professor thanks to a quest.
Why was she here, dropping her child off at Nuri Daycare?
"Did she always live around here?... Ah!"
It clicked. The reason was obvious.
[Forced Relocation Right acquired.]
[Please enter the name of the target you wish to relocate near campus within 5 minutes.]
[The target's living area will be changed to the vicinity of campus.]
[The Forced Relocation Right will disappear after 5 minutes.]
[Targets you have never met cannot be designated.]
[If the target is a student from another school, reality will be altered so that they have transferred in.]
[Cha Eun-ju]
Ding.
Reality had been rewritten. Cha Eun-ju and her family had supposedly been living near Nuri University for the past two years. Her husband now commuted from a nearby area, her son attended the university-affiliated daycare, and the family even went to church on weekends. Everything felt completely natural, as if it had always been that way.
"That's amazing..."
I had chosen her as the target of the Forced Relocation Right, but seeing the result in person felt different. It was like someone had overwritten a computer file—reality itself had been edited.
While I was marveling at the power of the quest, Cha Eun-ju, now facing the daycare entrance, glanced in my direction. I was standing only about twenty meters away, openly staring. She seemed to assume I was just another student waiting for someone and looked away without concern. Then she turned and began walking in the opposite direction from the back gate, toward a distant apartment complex.
She wore gray sneakers that matched her dress, revealing pale ankles above them. The tight fabric of the long dress accentuated her beautiful hip line, narrow waist, and the generous curves of her breasts visible even from the side. Her slender neck showed beneath her updo.
Still standing at the back gate, I found myself following her, as if drawn by an invisible force.
