Ui and Hinata's Notes: The Sinners
Ui: Between the way he once imagined looking at me through a Mirror and the descriptions written here, this person seems extraordinarily intelligent.
Hinata: I think so too. But what does the caution about “rumination” mean?
Ui: Well… if I had to guess, given the gloomy atmosphere and that keyword, perhaps he went through something in the past that makes him reluctant to communicate with others directly. Instead he endlessly ruminates on whatever is inside his own heart.
Hinata: Somehow that sounds a lot like you, Ui.
Ui: Ugh…
Hinata: She’s beautiful. From the description, her mind seems incredibly sharp.
Ui: Looking at the keyword “arrogance,” she might be a genius of a completely different flavor from Yi Sang. Hmm… I don’t really have anything more to say yet.
Hinata: Excessive passion and admiration for Fixers… What exactly is a Fixer?
Ui: Probably just what it sounds like. From what we’ve heard, all sorts of incidents and accidents happen constantly in the City, so maybe they’re the ones who resolve them. But the part that bothers me a little is “whether a Fixer of justice has ever truly existed.”
Hinata: Like you explained to me before, Ui… even “good” people in that City have that kind of side to them, don’t they? Setting that part aside, Don Quixote’s vibe feels a lot like the Reisa I’ve only heard rumors about.
Ui: Ah, I’ve heard of her too. And at the end there’s a security review… Hmm. Does that mean she’s hiding some kind of secret?
Hinata: I really hope it isn’t a bad secret.
Hinata: Ugh… I’ve already received death threats from this person twice.
Ui: She seems to place great importance on beauty… but her standards are pretty twisted. On top of that she has a background even the company can barely handle. You’ve really made yourself a troublesome enemy.
Hinata: I just hope she’ll forgive me…
Ui: Refusal to judge. Requires short, clear instructions.
Hinata: Mm, that seems to be everything. Looking at his appearance too, he’s even more taciturn than I imagined.
Ui: Still… this “does not entrust judgment” part. I worry whether that includes moral judgment as well.
Ui: Honestly, when I first saw him I wondered if he was a woman.
Hinata: He has a kind of androgynous beauty, doesn’t he?
Ui: According to the description, he lived in such luxury before joining the company that he shows complete ignorance of “low-class culture”… The other Sinners don’t look particularly poor, so if even that level of common sense is lacking, just how rich was he?
Hinata: Hmm… rich enough to buy our entire academy?
Ui: Somehow I feel it was even more than that…
Hinata: He looks fierce.
Ui: The description gives the same impression. But then it says people of this type tend to be stupid and simple-minded… I don’t know who wrote it, but that’s a bit harsh.
Hinata: Maybe he carries some deep wound inside?
Ui: From the description, she seems like someone we could actually talk to easily. And it looks like she used to work as a sailor.
Hinata: Once a relationship sours, it’s hard to repair… I hope nothing like that happens.
Ui: Same here. But I wonder how it was for Dante…
Hinata: She’s incredibly tall. Taller than Hasumi, I think.
Ui: A gambling addict who loves money, bright but occasionally shows signs of bipolar symptoms. Looking at the description, maybe it’s because she was born in the Backstreets and grew up poor.
Hinata: That’s really sad.
Ui: Timidity… I think I understand that one well. I’ve somehow felt it every time he sends a message.
Hinata: He doesn’t seem that much older than us, yet it says he went through an unstable growth period. What on earth happened?
Ui: I don’t know. But it’s definitely nothing good, and I suspect that “unconscious murderous intent” is connected to it.
Ui: Outis, Outis… That’s a rather unusual name.
Hinata: Why is that?
Ui: In a certain language, “Outis” means “nobody.” So when this person introduces herself as Outis, she’s essentially saying, “I am nobody.”
Hinata: Hearing that, the description of cunning and the inaccessible past history… Did she enter this place while hiding her true identity? Outis really does sound like an alias. And that excessive meddling seems to have some purpose behind it too.
Ui: Looking at the second photograph, it mentions a former soldier and expertise in tactics, so she was probably an officer rather than a simple enlisted soldier. Either way, she looks like a considerably dangerous person.
Hinata: His arm… um… is that a cockroach?
Ui: It seems so. It looks like one of those “procedures” we heard about before.
Hinata: Changing your body into that of an insect… What reason could there possibly have been? And the caution about “disgust”… the wording is far too harsh.
