Her Sweet Home (5)
Before the cum smeared across her pussy had even begun to dry, an uninvited guest came knocking at her door.
Still panting, still riding the afterglow of sex, she and I froze at the sound of the doorbell. It was well past midnight. Nobody should have been at her door at this hour. Not that I knew of, anyway.
"Wh-who is it?"
I stared at her, wide-eyed. Her hair was a wreck, her face still flushed a deep, vivid red, and she looked every bit as lost as I felt.
"Is someone supposed to be coming over this late?"
"No... there's nobody who'd show up at this hour..."
Whoever it was had rung the doorbell, which at least ruled out Seongdae's father and Seongdae himself. Those two wouldn't have bothered with the bell.
She sat there dazed for a long moment, trying to make sense of it, then pushed herself up and slowly pulled on her clothes. Her full, pale breasts swayed as they slipped from my arms.
She hurriedly threw on the white T-shirt and tiny athletic shorts she slept in and headed out to the living room.
I resented whoever was cutting into our time alone. We could have gone at least one more round tonight.
"Hahh..."
I drew a deep breath and quickly pulled on the clothes I'd arrived in, bracing myself for whoever was at the door.
What if it's a relative? Or a friend of hers? What if they come into this room?
I was already planning to dive under the bed or jump out the window if it came to that. If anyone caught the two of us alone together at this hour... even the kindest reading of it would start rumors. That much was obvious.
"Who is it?"
Her voice carried in from the living room. She'd shaken out her tangled hair, and I could hear the tremor in it.
"Ah, hello."
A woman's voice came through the front door — younger-sounding than hers, greeting her in a flat, even tone.
At this hour... who the hell is that?
"Who are you?"
She didn't seem to recognize the woman at the door either. If it was someone she didn't know, maybe they'd just come to the wrong house.
"Is... Dongho there, by any chance?"
"What?"
What? Dongho? That's me.
My name, coming from an uninvited guest at midnight. And not even at my house — at the home of the woman I loved. Sweat broke out on my palms.
I walked slowly out into the living room and looked at her. She was trembling. Her eyes had gone even wider, as if she were asking me what the hell was going on.
Don't look at me with that pretty face... I don't know what's going on either...
"Who... are you?"
She spoke carefully, choosing her words.
"I'm Heo Suyeon. A friend of Dongho's."
What? Heo Suyeon!?
No wonder the voice had sounded familiar. That flat, arrogant tone. Heo Suyeon — my business partner and, if you could still call her that, my classmate. The girl had some nerve, showing up at Seongdae's house.
But how did she know I was here?
"Dongho...?"
She sounded just as thrown as I was.
"Yes. I couldn't get ahold of him. I thought he might be here with Seongdae."
The phone I'd left on the table flashed through my mind. I snatched it up and lit the screen — dozens of missed calls and texts stacked on top of each other. She'd been looking for me all night, for whatever reason.
But showing up at this house? Ballsy bitch.
"Ah... Suyeon. Dongho is here, actually... what's this about?"
She looked at me, clearly uncomfortable. Suyeon was her son's friend too, but she was still an outsider. The last thing she wanted was anyone knowing I was here — in this house, at this hour, with Seongdae gone.
"Mind if I come in for a minute?"
Suyeon had the gall to ask her to open the door.
What the hell is she thinking!? She came all the way here — what's she planning to do?
"Just a second..."
She considered Suyeon's request for a moment, then slowly opened the door.
She'd been planning to meet Suyeon anyway, to deal with the Seongdae situation. This was just moving that meeting up a little. From her perspective, it probably wasn't the worst thing.
The lock clicked. The door swung open, and there was Suyeon. The moment it opened, she strode right inside.
"Hello. Sorry for dropping by so late."
"Uh... right..."
She said she was sorry, but she didn't look sorry in the slightest. She stood facing her with that signature arrogant, unreadable expression. Suyeon was wearing a tight black short-sleeved shirt and light-wash skinny jeans. The jeans clung to her long, straight legs, putting her sexy figure on full display.
"Where's Dongho..?"
"Yeah. I'm right here. What's going on?"
I had no reason to hide from her. Suyeon already knew about the two of us.
"Pfft... so you really were here."
A smirk curled across Suyeon's arrogant face.
"Why weren't you picking up?"
"Ah... I was in the middle of something..."
"In the middle of what?"
"That's... none of your business..."
Her pointed questions were throwing me off more than I wanted to admit. Suyeon knew exactly what was going on between us, and she was asking anyway. She knew precisely how to make someone squirm.
Sly little fox.
"So... what's this about, at this hour?"
Phew. Thank god. That was the woman I loved. She stepped in between us and cut the conversation short, and for a second I saw a way out.
"Hello, ma'am. I'm sorry for the late hour. I really needed to talk to Dongho. My name is Suyeon — I'm Seongdae's girlfriend."
She introduced herself again, clearly and deliberately. And she had the nerve to announce herself as Seongdae's girlfriend — right in front of Seongdae's mother.
Suyeon's expression was hard and haughty, like she was staking a claim on him.
"Ah... is that so? You needed to talk to Dongho. Still, knocking on someone's door at this hour doesn't strike me as particularly polite."
The woman I loved had gone equally stiff. Her face was still flushed, and she was smiling, but there was steel under every word.
I've got a bad feeling I just walked into a fight I have no business being in.
Caught between the two of them, I had no idea what to do.
"I'm sorry. But I heard you wanted to see me too, ma'am. Dongho told me."
That cheap-shot bitch. Dragging me into it again.
Suyeon finished and nodded at me, as if asking me to back her up.
Even if she did want to meet, it wasn't supposed to be now. And it sure as hell wasn't supposed to be here!
I wanted to grab Suyeon and get the hell out of there. But I was pinned between the two women's staring contest, going nowhere, just biting my lip.
"Mm... that's right. I did say I wanted to talk... well, since it's come up, this works out. Why don't you have a seat?"
She took a seat at the living room table. I sat beside her. Suyeon sat across from her.
The air in the house, still warm from the sounds of sex just minutes ago, had gone ice-cold.
"So you're Seongdae's girlfriend?"
She spoke first. A smile played across her elegant face, but her voice was ice.
"Yes. Seongdae and I have been seeing each other."
Suyeon's voice was just as calm.
"Mm..."
She was taking her time. She didn't like this late-night visitor one bit, but she was still Seongdae's mother. The most important thing right now was getting him back to a normal life. She seemed to be carefully arranging what she wanted to say.
"Seongdae's been coming home awfully late lately... do you know anything about that?"
"No. I usually only see Seongdae on the weekends. We go on dates."
Suyeon was playing dumb. She knew perfectly well that she and I were running a secret business with Seongdae — and she knew that we knew it.
So... why is she pretending she doesn't?
"I'd appreciate it if you were honest with me."
She wasn't going to let this slide either. She thought Suyeon had no idea she knew her secret. She thought she had the upper hand.
"Hahh... I honestly have no idea what you're talking about."
Suyeon deflected the question again, perfectly composed.
"Then I'll be honest first."
What? Honest?
She let out a sigh, then looked Suyeon dead in the eye.
"I saw you and Seongdae going into a motel room."
"And?"
"And I saw another woman going into that room, too."
Oh my god...
She was being honest — too honest. She pressed harder, like she was scolding a child.
"Ah... so you saw everything."
"Yes. Is that something a student should be doing? Answer me."
Her voice was rising, growing flushed. Anger at the girl who'd dragged her son into the gutter was starting to boil over.
"How could you do that? Seongdae is such a good boy. To get your hooks into him and make him do something so filthy......"
She kept starting and stopping, too angry to get the words out. Fury burned in those big eyes of hers.
"......Are you finished?"
Suyeon, who'd been listening in silence, said something I didn't see coming.
Suyeon... just apologize. Grovel and let's end this...
I wanted this whole uncomfortable mess over with as fast as possible. All I cared about was not letting things go sour between her and me. Nothing more, nothing less. Seongdae could go to hell for all I cared.
But what Suyeon said next was even worse.
"Whew. Well, if you already know, there's no point hiding it. But I know about you and Dongho too."
"What?..."
"You and Dongho. What were the two of you doing at this hour?"
"Th-that's..."
"What?"
The corner of Suyeon's expressionless mouth twitched, then stretched into a sharp, vivid smile.
Beside me, her pale thigh trembled, shuddering as if in shock.
