Undercover Company Visit
A rights offering.
The act of a company issuing additional shares to raise capital.
"Hi, oppas~! Wait, a rights offering?"
It was a word every stock investor had heard at least once. But no one ever really took it to heart.
M-my stock?
Because nobody ever thought it would happen to them.
8:50 a.m.
Angie had fired up her stream like any other morning — and then she saw an article she could not believe.
A disclosure had dropped on the stock she owned. The single worst catastrophe the market could throw at a shareholder.
"It's not just a regular rights offering, right? You know… I've heard some rights offerings can actually be good news."
Sometimes it really was good news — if a specific third party absorbed the entire offering. That was not the case here. The market's greatest disaster had truly detonated on her stock.
9:00 a.m.
The price had looked wrong from the opening call auction, and now it was collapsing as if the floor had simply vanished underneath it.
"Ah… aah……."
And it wasn't over. There was no guessing how far it would fall.
Stocks had been content for the stream — nothing more than a tool for building rapport with her male viewers. She had only ever bought the safe ones. For Angie, who had merely been playing at being an investor, the shock was unbearable.
For the viewers, it was peak entertainment. Watching a streamer eat shit made for excellent content. On a normal day she would have at least managed her expression. Right now, that was impossible.
Purchase Amount │ 105,605,891 won
Unrealized P&L │ −20,265,770 won
Return │ −19.19%
Because she had gone all-in. She had put in more money than usual — for the stream, yes, but also, honestly, out of pride. The thought of beating Sora had taken root in her chest. Greed had followed. She had wanted to print money and crank the video impact even higher.
"I-I'm a victim too! I only bought because Oppa Soo-chan said it was a sure thing."
The backlash was always going to hit that hard. This was a stock a streamer had promoted with absolute conviction. Fan loyalty kicked in. A huge chunk of Angie's fans had bought Osung Heavy Industries.

She was taking the entire crash with her body. And real money was on the line. It was a shame. Bad luck. But the weight of it was far too heavy to dismiss with a single sentence.

There was no putting it back in the bottle. With a slight delay, the shockwave was hitting her YouTube channel too.

— Did they drop the reason for the Osung Heavy rights offering??
— Meanwhile Sora's YouTube update holy crap
— Trusted Angie and bought Osung -_-

The communities too. It was the hottest topic burning through every board. The YouTuber they had rooted for — and before that, a serious interest as fellow investors.
Absolutely fucked
Because you could make a killing off it. A steep drop meant a steep rebound was possible. To the retail traders hunting limit-down bounces, she had been a goddess — right up until she stopped making them money.
What are you gonna do about my money you fucking bitch
And the reverse. This wasn't a mild dip — it was a freefall, and public sentiment boiled over. On stream, on YouTube, across every community, she had no one in her corner.
Watching that spectacle unfold, Sora felt something settle warm and deep in her chest.
Didn't I tell you to bring it?
It was deeply, thoroughly satisfying. She flipped off the monitor with both hands. And beyond that, something even bigger swelled in her chest — the fact that her prediction had landed perfectly.
HQ wouldn't give them money
Osung Heavy Industries. It was an affiliate of the Osung Group, yes. But that did not mean it had a reliable backstop.
An abandoned child, just like he said…….
Her senior's phrasing had been perfect. Headquarters paid them no attention whatsoever, and the affiliate had no choice but to solve its own problems. The conclusion: a rights offering. Selling the company's credibility to secure short-term capital had been the only option left.
When that idiot streamer was ranting about how solid Osung was, she'd already replied that the finances were bad and a rights offering was highly likely
She had known in advance. Analyzing the financial statements and doing company visits had given her the conviction.
That bitch was just daydreaming in her room.
While soaking up the worship of her viewers, no less. As an investor, she had never even been in the same league.
A camgirl recommending stocks? Trying to send someone to the Han River?
Such vulgar language.
Simps. Sora knew exactly what that word meant. You picked it up if you spent any time on the boards. She even understood why some women liked that kind of attention.
Can't beat those tits, sorry not sorry
There was a thrill in it. Pure looks-based praise would have left her cold, but being recognized as an investor set her chest on fire.
Keep sucking up, you bastards.
She was buzzing. To claim she didn't enjoy being mentioned on the boards, or being praised, would have been a lie.
Gained 6,000 subs in a single day holy crap
YouTube too. What had started as a hobby had grown remarkably fast. Today's events might push it even further.
Hmm! If I really put my mind to it.
If she pulled the same attention-whore stunts that bitch did, she could grow her channel far more easily. She didn't need to. Confidence surged through her — the certainty that skill alone was enough to earn recognition. She would make good videos that actually helped investors. A step closer to her dream of becoming a trader.
With that resolve firm in her chest, Sora's phone buzzed.
It was her senior.
So if he says come out I come out, and if he says go in I go in?
He always talked like that. Which was exactly why she answered the same way. Short on explanation. Being dragged around by a senior like him wasn't a one- or two-day thing anymore — she was used to it. He was also someone she could lean on. Without him this time, she never would have had the conviction.
……Whatever.
She headed out to the meeting spot.
Influencers. In the stock market of the future, they would carry enormous weight.
That's why I'm building her up.
And yet it was thoroughly unsatisfying. She had no idea what her own talent even was.
"What the fuck."
"Tits the size of planets."
"Has any of that helped?"
"A little."
She had shown up in the same bland outfit as always. He was starting to miss that sharp suit look of hers.
I told her to sell the tits.
Instead she was sitting there selling lectures. Even after watching a professional titty-streamer in action, she apparently hadn't absorbed a single lesson.
"So why did you call me out?"
"There's something you like."
"Something I like?"
"Company visits."
"Ah."
What she needed was a catalyst. Whatever the pitch, it clearly appealed — Sora's eyes lit up, bright and eager.
She loved it last time.
He'd figured she would love it again. It might turn out a little different from what she was imagining, though.
Screech—!
They arrived by car. A place in Mapo District — a company Sora would recognize.
"Isn't this MusicNet?"
"That's right."
"I've always wanted to visit a broadcasting station! What are MusicNet's related stocks again……."
Of course she knew it. From TopStar K to Show Me the Rap and beyond, it was the network that had launched a string of hit music programs.
She's only ever watched them, though.
With Sora's personality, she never would have thought past that on her own. Someone had to give her a shove before she could take the first step.
"This is also—"
"A company visit is a company visit, but."
"Yes?"
"You're going to have to put in some work yourself."
"??"
Time to awaken Sora's real talent.
