Tormented Sehwa #2
Sehwa fidgeted with her ponytail, her gaze drifting down to the outfit she’d chosen for the day. A white off-shoulder ruffle top that deliberately revealed the black bra straps beneath, emphasizing her sex appeal, paired with a sky-blue circle skirt that added a touch of adorable charm.
Sigh…
She let out a long breath and gave a small, bitter laugh. She had followed Jihyeok’s order to dress exactly as if she were going on a real date, but wasn’t this far too generous a reward for Seunghyun? It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say she had never dressed this carefully for him before.
She waited for him, lightly tapping the toe of her white sneakers against the ground, when she felt the eyes of passersby on her. People kept glancing at her lightly made-up face, staring in a daze before moving on. Most were men, though a few women lingered as well. Honestly, she knew she was beautiful. She hadn’t cared much about it when she was with Seunghyun, but ever since she started seeing Jihyeok, she had begun paying attention.
Every piece of clothing she wore today was styled to Jihyeok’s taste. Of course Seunghyun would like it too, but that didn’t matter.
While she was fiddling with her phone, she spotted Seunghyun jogging lightly toward her from a distance. She broke into a bright smile and waved.
“Seunghyun! Over here!”
Her expression soured slightly. His outfit was disappointing. The loose black t-shirt was clearly meant to hide his belly fat and nothing more. His pants were the same denim he’d been wearing faithfully for the past five years. They had been washed so many times that the color had faded to something almost acceptable. If Jihyeok had worn those clothes, they might have looked good on him. She grumbled inwardly and waited in silence.
“Sehwa! Whoa… what’s with today? That’s a really bold outfit…”
As he drew closer, Seunghyun’s face lit up with a huge grin when he saw her coordination. His hair was freshly cut in a two-block style, the strands neatly trimmed near his earlobes to match their appointment time. Sehwa forced a dry laugh and brushed his shoulder with her left hand. He looked overjoyed and began glancing around, clearly wanting to show off that his girlfriend was taking care of him.
“I just… wanted to look nice. What do you think?”
“You look incredibly pretty. Seriously…”
“So what are we doing today?”
“Well… they just opened a new amusement park in Jamsil, right? Want to go there?”
“What the… if we were going to an amusement park, you should’ve told me yesterday. I wouldn’t have worn a skirt.”
Seunghyun scratched the back of his head, looking sheepish.
“Ah… I didn’t think that through.”
“You didn’t buy the tickets in advance, did you?”
“I didn’t. I was just throwing the idea out there.”
Even as he said that, she noticed his hand drifting toward his back pocket. So he had bought them already. In the past, she might have found that kind of behavior cute… but ever since meeting Jihyeok, nothing Seunghyun did sat well with her anymore.
No… I just need to have fun. That’s all.
Shaking her head to clear away the thoughts, Sehwa held out her open palm to him.
“I know you bought them already. Hand them over.”
Seunghyun gave a weak laugh and pulled the tickets from his back pocket, placing them in her hand.
“You really do know everything.”
“Of course I do… you idiot.”
Her scolding was half sincere, half playful. When she looked at the tickets, she saw they were full-day unlimited passes. Come to think of it, she couldn’t remember the last time she had gone to an amusement park with Seunghyun. Had it been since their early high school years? Now that they were adults… watching the nighttime shows might actually be pretty fun. Just like Jihyeok had said yesterday.
“They’re non-refundable. It’d be a waste of money, so let’s just go.”
“Are you really okay with that? What about the skirt?”
Sehwa pointed toward a nearby outlet mall.
“I’ll just buy some pants the same color as the skirt and change. It’d be annoying if I couldn’t ride half the attractions because of a skirt.”
“I’m sorry. Really sorry. Next time I’ll tell you where we’re going in advance.”
“Yeah.”
The two of them headed to the outlet. Sehwa quickly bought a pair of three-quarter pants in a matching color and changed in the fitting room. She didn’t forget to send a text to Jihyeok while she was at it.
I met up with Seunghyun. Heading to the amusement park now?
Even after she finished changing, there was no reply. Sehwa pouted, stepped out of the fitting room, and told Seunghyun,
“Let’s take a flying taxi. The subway’s going to be packed on the weekend. I’ll pay.”
“That’s too expensive… no, never mind. Let’s just take the flying taxi.”
If he was going to complain, he should have just said no. Or stayed quiet. That unnecessary addition irritated her. Sehwa felt a surge of anger and almost snapped at him, but she reminded herself that today was supposed to be a fun date and took a deep breath. Today she would enjoy herself… she had to act like a proper couple as much as possible. Then later she would report back to Jihyeok in a way that made him jealous.
Hehe…
Imagining his reaction, she smiled inwardly and subtly offered her hand to Seunghyun. He immediately grabbed it and laced their fingers together. The clammy feeling was unpleasant, but… thinking back on old times, she could endure it.
As they left the outlet and headed for the flying taxi station, Seunghyun stared at her hand and asked,
“You still painting your nails?”
“Yeah. Why?”
“Nothing. Just wondering if you ever thought about trying a different color.”
“I don’t. I like red.”
“I like it too. It suits you. But…”
Seunghyun glanced around at the people nearby. Sehwa looked at him curiously.
“What’s wrong?”
“Ah… um… can I see your hand for a second?”
“Why my hand?”
“Just a moment…”
He took her hand and examined her wrist closely. He even touched it, as if checking for any marks. Watching his behavior, Sehwa’s heart began to pound violently. This was clearly him checking whether the wrist of “Morning” — the girl from the video — had any traces of restraint play. She swallowed hard, cold sweat breaking out across her skin. It wasn’t from tension. It was excitement.
Seunghyun had seen the SM play between “Morning” — her — and “Evening” — Jihyeok. And now…
He’s suspicious of me…
He was doubting her. After watching that video, it was understandable. The conversation about giving her boyfriend a handjob. The matching red nail color. It was more than enough to raise suspicion. No, it was suspicion mixed with anxiety. The fear that “Morning” might actually be Sehwa.
But Seunghyun would eventually let go of that doubt and anxiety. After all, in front of him she had only ever shown a modest, proper side of herself. Even when she gave that handjob as an onahole, she had acted clumsy and inexperienced on purpose.
“What are you doing? Why are you staring at my wrist like that?”
“No, it’s nothing.”
He let out a breath — whether from relief or something else, she couldn’t tell — and took her hand again. Suddenly, Sehwa had a thought. She wanted to subtly hint that she was “Morning.” The moment the idea crossed her mind, the excitement surged even stronger and her mouth went dry.
Just then, the flying taxi arrived. After inputting their destination, Sehwa stared out the window as the vehicle lifted into the air, then called out to Seunghyun.
“Seunghyun.”
“Yeah?”
“What kind of… play do you like?”
“P-play? You don’t mean what I’m thinking, do you?”
“I do… later… when we… do that kind of thing…”
With an embarrassed expression, she fidgeted with her fingers. Seunghyun’s mouth fell open.
“Sehwa, I really appreciate how you feel. But we don’t need to worry about that yet. We still have a long way to go before… marriage.”
“Just… tell me. What do you like?”
“I…”
Seunghyun’s gaze drifted up toward the taxi ceiling. Watching him, Sehwa realized he was thinking about the play between “Morning” and “Evening.”
“I prefer it gentle…”
“Gentle…? You don’t like it when it’s rough?”
Seunghyun’s eyebrows twitched. He was definitely thinking about “Morning and Evening.”
“I like that too… but I think starting with normal play would be better.”
Normal play…? When she got home today, she would have to ask Jihyeok for some loving sex. Sehwa lowered her head and muttered,
“Okay… noted…”
“Noted? Hahaha!”
Seunghyun burst out laughing, then leaned in and kissed her forehead. Sehwa immediately snapped.
“Hey! What are you doing!”
She had only allowed hand-holding and hugging, so the sudden kiss caught her off guard. More than that, being shown affection by any man other than Jihyeok filled her with irritation.
Seunghyun flinched.
“Ah… sorry… but is it really something to get that angry about…?”
“You messed up my bangs! I spent so much time on them!”
“Really…? You never used to care about stuff like hairstyles before…”
“I’m doing it to look good for you, and you don’t like it? If you don’t, I’ll just go back to dressing like a slob like I used to! Happy now!?”
“No… you never looked like a slob. I’m sorry. I was wrong.”
“Haa… seriously… fine. Next time you want to do something like that, ask for permission first.”
At those words, Seunghyun smiled brightly. To Sehwa, the expression looked utterly pathetic.
Once they arrived at the amusement park, the two of them spent a long time having what should have been a very enjoyable outing. At least, Seunghyun enjoyed it. Sehwa was too busy worrying about Jihyeok to really have fun. No matter how busy he was with work, he should have replied by now…
He’s not meeting another woman, is he…?
Pushing down her anxiety, Sehwa slipped away to the bathroom whenever she could to text or call Jihyeok. But there was no response at all.
“What the hell is this!”
She glared at her silent phone, venting all her frustration, when a young woman in the bathroom jumped in surprise.
“Oh my god…! Keep it down!”
The young woman’s scolding made Sehwa glare at her.
“Mind your own business.”
“Ugh… unbelievable…”
After calming her boiling anger, Sehwa washed her hands and stepped out. Seunghyun, who had been waiting, smiled gently and asked,
“Is your stomach really upset? You’ve been going to the bathroom a lot.”
“No… I’m just nervous from riding the attractions…”
“That roller coaster was pretty scary, huh. By the way… Sehwa.”
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“All these people are having such a good time because of you.”
Sehwa frowned.
“Be quiet. I told you not to mention that in public…”
“I said it quietly. And I didn’t even mention it directly. I just said thank you. I really wanted to tell you.”
“Haa… fine… let’s go take some sticker photos before my hair gets any worse. As a souvenir…”
“Okay.”
The two of them took sticker photos while holding very different feelings in their hearts. After carefully choosing ones with plenty of fun effects, they cut them out at the counter and were putting them into each other’s wallets when Sehwa’s phone rang. The caller was Doctor Cash.
Sehwa told Seunghyun,
“Just a second… it’s a work call.”
“Ah, okay.”
She hurried to a secluded spot and answered.
“Yes, Doctor.”
Sehwa! Where are you right now!
The voice was urgent. It sounded like a gate had opened. Sehwa answered immediately.
“I’m at the Jamsil amusement park right now… why? Did a monster—”
No, no gate has opened. But Song…
The moment she heard that, Sehwa’s heart began racing.
“W-what about Jihyeok? He said he was going to the company…?”
The company…? Ah… he must have gone alone because he didn’t want you to suffer. That stupid bastard…!
“What are you talking about? Please explain so I can understand.”
I’m heading to Jamsil right now, so come outside and wait. Immediately!
“Ah, yes!”
After hanging up, Sehwa tried to calm her pounding heart, filled with worry for Jihyeok, and walked back to Seunghyun.
“Seunghyun, I have to go now.”
“Why? Is it one of those monsters—”
“I don’t know. The Doctor told me to come out right away. I’m leaving.”
Without another word, Sehwa sprinted toward the entrance at full speed. Seunghyun stared blankly at her as she shoved through the crowd without a care, then snapped out of it and started running after her.
“W-wait for me!”
