Hyungjun's Mother, the Nation-Toppling Beauty
Fun, huh?
Hmm.
Just as I thought, Cheongdam's seductive owner Eorin seemed to have some idea about the connection between me and Hyungjun's mother.
Hyungjun's mother shot a fox-like glare at Cheongdam's seductive owner Eorin with eyes flushed red.
"Oh come on, Naeun-ah. It was a joke. A joke. For real. Your eyes are practically shooting lasers. Hey, this girl still gets her hackles up at me like it's fifteen years ago. Naeun-ah, that was all a misunderstanding. Seriously."
Fifteen years ago?
What the hell happened fifteen years ago that made Hyungjun's mother so wary of Cheongdam's owner Eorin?
"Unnie, don't even bring up that time so shamelessly. Anyway, thanks for the great food. We're heading out now."
Cheongdam's seductive owner Eorin spoke in a slightly disappointed tone.
"Oh, come on. It's been so long since we saw each other, and we barely talked, and you're already leaving? Stay and hang out more. Where are you off to in such a hurry anyway?"
Cheongdam's owner Eorin winked at me playfully.
But that expression was so seductive, I felt myself getting drawn in despite myself.
"If I'd known I'd run into unnie, I wouldn't have come here at all. Siwon-ah, let's go."
Hyungjun's mother called me and stormed out ahead.
I started to follow her out, but Cheongdam's seductive owner Eorin lightly grabbed my hand.
I looked at her in surprise, and she gazed at me seductively, whispering.
"Ah, seriously. How does our Naeun only hang out with guys who look this delicious? No wonder I can't help but want to steal them away. See you next time. Next time, just the two of us."
As we stepped out of the Cheongdam Hansik House, Hyungjun's mother looked at me with a cold expression.
"Siwon-ah, that fox didn't hit on you, did she?"
Of course, she'd straight-up propositioned me for a solo meetup next time, but I wasn't dumb enough to say that outright.
"No, not at all. But why do you get so sharp around Cheongdam's owner? Did something happen between you two?"
Hyungjun's mother pressed her fingers between her eyes and ear like her head hurt, then spoke.
"That's none of your business, Siwon-ah. As long as that fox didn't say anything to you, it's fine. Ah, seriously. She's always going on about how she can't steal away any guys I meet. That crazy bitch... She's usually off gallivanting with men and barely at her restaurant, so why does she have to show up on a day like today of all days..."
"She steals the guys you meet? Mother, have you met other guys besides me?"
I eyed Hyungjun's mother suspiciously, and she realized her slip-up, making excuses.
"No, that's not it. It was a long time ago. Ages ago. Anyway, enough about that fox. Get in the car already, Siwon-ah."
I figured digging deeper wouldn't get me anywhere good, so I quietly got into Hyungjun's mother's car without another word.
Hyungjun's mother's car was a red Ford Mustang.
Its sleek curves, low hood, and grille gave it a dynamic vibe.
And on the rear, there was a cool stallion emblem symbolizing the Ford Mustang.
A rich housewife driving a Ford Mustang.
And she looked no older than her mid-twenties, with a seductive allure and sexiness that only a mature woman could possess in such thick abundance.
If I ranked the women I was seeing based on class—looks, sexiness, elegance, luxury, everything combined—Hyungjun's mother was at the absolute top.
Se-kyung and Yu-bi had that fresh, innocent charm, but they lacked the mature sexiness and financial ease that radiated from her.
Click-clack, thud.
I opened the door of the red Ford Mustang and slid into the passenger seat next to Hyungjun's mother.
She casually gripped the wheel with one hand and spoke to me naturally.
"Siwon-ah, heading home? I'll drop you off."
I looked at Hyungjun's mother and replied coolly.
"Mother, what are you talking about? I've already made a reservation, so just head where I tell you."
She'd tried to steer me toward going home, but I wasn't falling for it that easily.
"Siwon-ah, do you really have to see me in that slutty lingerie?"
I nodded firmly.
"You already agreed to it, Mother. You're not going to go back on your word, are you?"
Hyungjun's mother sighed and said,
"Fine. A promise is a promise... But this is the last time we're meeting alone like this. Got it?"
"Yeah, I got it. Don't worry. I won't see you again until you're begging me to meet up."
Hyungjun's mother glared at me.
"What kind of talk is that? Why would I ever beg to see you...?"
She said it with total confidence, like it would never happen.
But truthfully, she'd been the one who wanted to meet today in the first place.
She was already enchanted by me, falling deeper and deeper.
She just didn't realize it yet.
Vroom! Rumble!
Hyungjun's mother's red Mustang roared to life with a powerful engine growl.
Compared to the light blue McLaren 720S Spider, red 2020 Lamborghini Huracán Evo, or silver Rolls-Royce Phantom parked in front of the Cheongdam Korean restaurant, it wasn't the priciest ride, but it looked plenty badass to me.
I pulled out my phone, opened NewTube, and said,
"Mother, Bluetooth on the car audio? Mind if I connect?"
"Sure, wanna listen to some music, Siwon-ah? Go ahead."
Once Hyungjun's mother paired the car's Bluetooth with my phone, I fired up NewTube and played a trending song.
It was "Stay" by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber—one of my current favorites.
Justin Bieber's famously smooth vocals paired with The Kid LAROI's dreamy rising-star vibe made it perfect for a drive; the mood just came alive.
I do the same thing I told you
that I never would
I told you I'd change, even
when I knew I never could
I know that I can't find nobody else
as good as you
I need you to stay,
need you to stay, hey (Oh)
I get drunk, wake up, I'm wasted still
I realize the time that I wasted here
I feel like you can't feel the way I feel
Oh, I'll be fucked up
if you can't be right here
The car's speakers were blasting, making the drive feel authentic.
Hyungjun's mother was getting into the music too, nodding her head lightly.
"Who's singing this? It's so good. I recognize Justin Bieber's voice, but who's the other one?"
"Oh, you don't know? It's The Kid LAROI, this Aussie teen singer blowing up right now."
"Really? As expected from you, Siwon-ah—you're young, so your taste in music is spot on. I ride around with old fogeys every day, so I just stick to old songs."
"Nah, Mother. From now on, listen with me a lot. Your car's sound system is killer—no need to hit the club."
"Yeah? This is actually my second car that I barely drive. Was gonna give it to Yuna, but since you like it, maybe I'll take it out more."
She was so immersed in the youthful vibe of driving alone with a young guy after so long that she'd forgotten her own rule about today being our last solo meetup, chattering away happily.
I played her recent Billboard hits like BDS's "Butterfly" and Doja Cat's "You Right," subtly guiding her toward my destination.
"Mother, left turn here."
"Huh? Siwon-ah, are we going the right way? This seems kinda out of the way."
"No, it's correct. You prefer places without crowds anyway, right?"
Truth be told, even without saying it, Hyungjun's mother knew where we were headed.
Where else would she try on the slutty lingerie I'd gifted her, if not a spot to "rest" on the way?
And among those rest spots, busy ones would draw eyes.
So naturally, not a hotel—a motel.
"Mother, we're almost there. Park in that empty spot."
"There?"
It was Tuesday.
A weekday night, but motels still drew a crowd.
Good thing I'd reserved ahead, or we might've been out of luck.
Screech!
Hyungjun's mother parked where I directed.
As she glanced around, trying to play dumb about the location, I said,
"Mother, we're here. Let's go."
"Siwon-ah, where is this? It's dark and deserted."
She knew damn well what this place was but pretended otherwise.
"Don't worry, just hold my hand and follow."
I grabbed Hyungjun's mother's hand and pulled her out of the car.
Then, holding her hand, I led her up the dim stairs.
A machine I'd never seen before came into view.
First time in a place like this, so I fumbled a bit, but quickly figured out entry.
Since I'd reserved, just insert the money.
Clunk!
The door unlocked as expected.
I turned the handle, opened it, and gently tugged Hyungjun's mother inside.
"It's pitch black, Siwon-ah."
Bang!
I closed the door with a relaxed smile.
"Mother, don't be so tense. Just change into the outfit I bought you, and we'll head out soon. Got it?"
I whispered in Hyungjun's mother's ear and flipped the switch.
Click.
And then.
Just as I'd expected.
