When my senses returned, the first thing that filled my vision was a vast, towering sky.
I blinked, watching the clouds drift past in a daze. The heavens were steeped in a brilliant sunset glow, as if to announce that the sun was going down.
How many years had it been since I'd lost myself admiring the sky like this? With every sensation in my body so faint and distant, I had to be dreaming.
"Emily...!"
"Th-this is bad, isn't it...?"
"Get the adults!"
Emily? Whose name was that exotic?
I blinked and tried to turn my head, but my body refused to obey.
