The Factory's Madness
Angel of Eden. 254
By the time a day had passed and the apartment survivors had finished preparing to leave, the family members who had taken the men with them returned. I explained the events that had unfolded to Oppa and the others, and told them that the apartment survivors were all ready to join us.
“Survivors from the factory district to the east?”
“Yes. It looks like the foreign workers have taken over the area and formed their own faction.”
“At least the northern group decided to join us. That’s a relief.”
“We still need to clean up the surroundings, nyang.”
Charlotte spoke with a sharp gaze beside Oppa, who was stroking his chin in thought. Her tone was far too cold and ruthless for the usually dull and easygoing Charlotte, and Ruya replied with a troubled expression.
“Still, killing people feels a bit…”
“If you don’t want to die, you have to kill first, nyang. This place is already the wild, nyang.”
“Charlotte’s right. We can’t call it a safe haven while keeping enemies who clearly bear us ill will right next door.”
“I agree.”
“If that’s what everyone thinks, then…”
Once Oppa, Charlotte, and I all voiced our opinion that the hostile factions needed to be dealt with, Ruya, who had been hesitating, finally nodded in agreement.
“Ruya, you take command. Charlotte, Elisha, and I will stir things up in the east and follow behind you.”
“A diversion, then.”
“With so many people on the move, it’s easy to spot us. It’s best to draw their attention elsewhere while we reduce their numbers.”
“Ambush is our specialty, nyang.”
“Got it. Let’s do that.”
We reached a tentative agreement to deal with the eastern faction, finished our preparations, and gathered near the entrance to wait for Deckard and his group. Deckard, who had been talking with the others, spotted us approaching and smiled.
“I heard quite a story from the people who went to the city center. We were the ones who should have been asking to join you. Thank you.”
“It’s fine. Survivors have to band together if we want to live. More importantly, we’re about to depart. Are you ready?”
“We’ve loaded all our supplies onto the carts. There won’t be a single thing left behind in the apartment.”
Sure enough, three large carts were piled high with luggage, and several men stood beside them. Behind them, children chattered under the women’s supervision. After observing them, Oppa nodded.
“Good. Ruya here will guide you. The path has already been cleared, so there shouldn’t be any problems.”
“You three aren’t coming with us?”
“We’re going to shake up the east. That should keep them distracted enough that they won’t even notice your movement.”
“Understood. Stay safe.”
Soon, the group heading for the city center set off with Ruya in the lead. Oppa waved goodbye to Ruya, who turned back with a stern face and nodded firmly, then began walking toward the east.
“Let’s go. We need to minimize our presence and approach as quietly as possible. Got it?”
“Yes, Oppa.”
“Understood, nyang.”
The three of us ran toward the factory district in the east. By ignoring the monsters we encountered along the way and moving quickly, we soon found a location lined with countless motorcycles. The place with the motorcycles was less a factory and more a fortress, with high walls and a massive iron gate surrounding a vast lot. We climbed a ladder on a nearby building, checked the rooftop of the target structure, then came back down.
“The rooftop is clean.”
“No guards at the entrance either, nyang.”
“What’s wrong with these guys? They’re not even maintaining basic security? Is it a trap?”
“Doesn’t seem like it. There are no sensors or devices either.”
It was just an ordinary factory building with nothing special about it.
“I can sense a lot of presence inside, nyang.”
“Hmm… Music, shouting, the sound of glass bottles breaking… Huh?”
When I heightened the sensitivity of my auditory sensors, I picked up a familiar sound among the various noises. The distinctive wet sound of flesh slapping against flesh, and heated moans filled with passion.
“What? Did you hear something unusual?”
“They’re in the middle of having sex. And not just one or two people.”
“Nyang? Are they having a group orgy, nyang?”
“Probably.”
“Their comrades went out and haven’t come back, yet they’re having an orgy? What the hell is wrong with these people?”
“They’re insane, nyang.”
They were insane, but there was an even bigger problem.
“Also… I don’t hear any female voices.”
“What? Then don’t tell me…”
“Nyang?”
“All the moans coming from inside are male voices.”
I didn’t want to imagine it, but given the circumstances, it seemed the men were having a group orgy among themselves. Oppa, who had already caught on, grimaced and rubbed his face, while Charlotte, who realized the meaning a moment later, let out a horrified gasp, bared her teeth, and raised her tail stiffly.
“Nyaang! Why are men doing that with each other, nyang!”
“There’s something called homosexuality in this world, you know.”
“It’s the law of nature for females and males to mate and produce offspring to propagate the species, nyang.”
“I respect homosexuality as a personal choice, but I can’t understand it. More importantly, it doesn’t look like we need to cause a commotion here.”
“Nyang? We’re not killing them, nyang?”
“They’re clearly the type who live only for today with no future. Let’s just leave them to destroy themselves.”
“From the sounds of it, they’re not just drunk—they’ve taken drugs too. They really are living without any thought for the future.”
In a world without hospitals or anything else, the future of people living so recklessly was obvious. Come to think of it, for the sake of the group’s future, we would need to secure medical personnel like doctors and resources…
“Then let’s at least smash all the motorcycles, nyang.”
“That’s a good idea. Without mobility, they won’t be much of a threat. Let’s do it.”
“Yes.”
Following Charlotte’s suggestion, we scaled the high wall and began turning the motorcycles lined up in the lot into scrap. Oppa and Charlotte, wielding mana-enhanced hunter weapons, carefully dismantled the bikes to minimize noise. Since I mainly fought with my fists, I didn’t have a suitable cutting weapon. The plasma blade on my right arm had too short a duration to be practical. Ah, maybe I could manage with magic?
Since word magic could manifest almost anything with a single syllable, a spell to slice through objects should be possible.
“Denamos Cham Kalos.”
It had been a while since I had spoken the activation word of word magic aloud. The mana that had been resting in the womb imprint moved along the line running down the center of my body, and I felt the magic circle on my tongue respond. Piing!Chwaak! In an instant, the slicing magic released from my fingertips let out a sharp sound, flew toward the ground, left a thin, deep scar on the solid concrete floor, and vanished.
“…It’s stronger than I thought?”
“What was that just now, nyang? Something invisible flew past, nyang.”
“It’s word magic. I tried using it to cut the motorcycles, and the power is considerable.”
“Oho~ If we launch that in a straight line, we could dismantle the motorcycles in an instant, nyang.”
“Hmm, shall we give it a try?”
Feeling Oppa and Charlotte’s expectant gazes on my back as they stepped aside, I lowered my stance, aligned the motorcycles in a straight line, and activated the magic. Piing!Kung!Kukung! The slicing magic tore through space, cut a dozen motorcycles in a straight line into pieces, and only then disappeared. I worried the noise from the bisected motorcycles falling might alert those inside, but the drugged men didn’t notice at all.
“Whoa~ Magic really is magic, huh?”
“Thinking about something like that flying at me makes my fur stand on end, nyang.”
“But I can’t use it too many times. The mana consumption is significant.”
It consumed far more mana than the lighter magic used to create a small flame. Each time I used it, I could feel the amount of mana in the womb imprint dropping sharply.
“Still, it’s much faster than cutting them one by one, so I’ll handle all the motorcycles with magic for now.”
Piing! Piing! The motorcycles lined up in a row were sliced apart one after another by the invisible blades and collapsed to the ground. After firing the magic a few more times, I managed to clear all the motorcycles in the lot.
“Done.”
“Kuh, magic really is convenient.”
“Arin says we should deal with their leader. If the leader disappears, the speed at which they’ll fragment and self-destruct will increase, nyang.”
“Hmm, that makes sense. Tell Arin she did well.”
“Arin hears and sees everything I do, nyang. She’s embarrassed from the praise, nyang.”
“Cute. She’s completely different from the always-confident Charlotte.”
“She’s a cute kid, nyang.”
From Oppa’s reaction, it seemed his aversion to Arin, who was coexisting with Charlotte, had completely disappeared. He even called her cute—maybe he had a thing for shy types like Arin after all. If Oppa’s tastes were broad enough to embrace four women with completely different personalities, it seemed entirely possible.
“But how do we find their leader among those guys and kill him?”
“Couldn’t we just grab one of them and interrogate him?”
“Let’s find a way inside, nyang.”
We exchanged glances and split up to search for an entrance. The building, which looked like a typical factory dormitory, was a fairly large three-story structure, but the only entrance was the main gate on the first floor. I couldn’t understand why they had built the dormitory with such an odd layout, but it seemed effective for controlling access. Since there was no easy way into the first floor, I jumped up, grabbed the second-floor railing, and climbed up. After quietly leaping across the railings and checking around, I found that all the second-floor windows were locked—probably to prevent intrusion—making it difficult to enter quietly. That said, the scenes I glimpsed through the windows while investigating were beyond imagination. Naked men were tangled together, covered in saliva, and brown substances that looked like feces were smeared messily across the floor. The faces of the men, distorted by drugs, pleasure, and excitement, added to the grotesque atmosphere. Whoa, seeing it directly was even more intense. Suppressing the physiological disgust rising in my stomach, I jumped once more and climbed up to the third-floor railing. As I moved across the third-floor railings and peered into the rooms, I discovered an unexpected situation. Unlike the chaotic second floor filled with countless men, the third floor had only a single man sitting on a sofa in the central large room, drinking alone. The man, who had a massive build comparable to Oppa’s and a shiny bald head, held a pistol in one hand and a wine bottle that sloshed as he shook it in the other. Even just sitting still, he exuded the unmistakable aura of a boss, making it natural to recognize him as the leader. I didn’t know about Oppa and Charlotte’s situations, but since he was alone and had his back turned, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to deal with him. Deciding to handle it myself, I quietly slipped over the railing and pushed on the window. Perhaps because he was on the third floor and had let his guard down, it wasn’t locked. The window slid open smoothly, and I carefully opened it and entered. The man, whether drunk or not, didn’t notice my approach at all. From right behind him, I pulled out the wire from my left hand, twisted it once to form a noose, and in an instant looped it over his head and around his neck, pulling with all my strength. Thud! The man, his neck strangled by the wire, couldn’t even scream and only thrashed about before eventually stopping his movements. I maintained the pressure a little longer, then released my strength and cut the wire. Turning him over to check directly, I saw the man with clear strangulation marks on his neck, eyes wide open and tongue hanging out, dead.
“In your next life, do some good deeds.”
As I closed his wide-open eyes with my hand, I heard a light landing sound from the window. Charlotte, who had landed gracefully like a cat, walked over briskly and looked at the dead man.
“Is this guy the leader, nyang?”
“Probably.”
“We took care of him more easily than expected, nyang. Nyang?”
“What’s wrong?”
I asked as Charlotte suddenly turned her head in one direction and perked up her ears.
“I can sense presence in that room, nyang.”
“Huh? You’re right. I can hear sounds from inside.”
“Doesn’t it smell, nyang? There’s a burly guy armed with a pistol guarding the living room, and someone else inside the room, nyang.”
“You’re right. Contrary to my expectations, this man might have just been a simple bodyguard.”
Exchanging meaningful glances with Charlotte, I carefully moved toward the room. And at that moment, though muffled by the door, I clearly heard a sound.
“That’s a woman’s moan, right?”
“It seems so, nyang.”
“Hmm…”
When I lightly turned the doorknob, it wasn’t locked. I signaled Charlotte and quietly opened the door. Thud! Thud! Thud! Through the slightly opened gap, traces of sexual intercourse were already visible. The problem was that, contrary to our expectations, it wasn’t one woman with multiple men—it was the opposite.
“Nyang…?”
“What the…”
The men lined up around the bed with their erections stood with their hands behind their backs, waiting, while on the bed, two men were simultaneously penetrating a single woman’s front and back holes. The surprising part was that the woman held the initiative in the act. That much was clear from her appearance—she had a rugged, muscular build, a monstrous physique, and skin flushed red with veins, and she was moving her own body atop the men who lay on the bed with their erections standing, enjoying the sex herself. It was an extraordinary sight in many ways.
