Post: Gate opened in the back mountain. Author: KingGalbiMandu (distant red gate photo) (lizardmen emerging from inside photo)
Have to run so can't take questions.
└Living in a nice spot? Battery for photos even.
└Real real.
└That commercial building. The one that hired awakeners early, right?
└Underground food warehouse, worth hiring for that.
Post: Sun greeting. Author: DewMist (sun rising at horizon photo) (monster eyes peeking from sea photo)
Let's survive another day.
└Sun greeting villain showed up again.
└Dokdo all clear today!
└What? Real Dokdo? Sea supposed to be monster central?
└Heard that one's insanely strong. Boat it over and Korea apocalypse ends.
└Bring it quick.
Post: Pro tip for looting empty houses (Scavenger X). Author: 76 (tokusatsu character with X photo)

└Electricity to spare? You near a power plant?
└Lmao.
Post: [Breaking] Cheongju Bridge collapsed. Author: Daejeon's King Island Eatery (hand-drawn bridge in paint?)
└Lmao gold hands. Can't recognize it at all.
└Actual Cheongju resident here, this is real.

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. Even before the apocalypse, I'd occasionally dipped into communities for game info, so getting used to this one didn't take long.
"More survivors than I thought..."
Dokdo to Seoul, Cheongju, and beyond. Even in this apocalypse, humans were clinging on. Scrolling through the endless posts made the world feel alive again. I wasn't the type to get lonely easily, but two months without seeing another soul? Aside from that brief run-in with Seola Han recently—and even that wasn't much of a chat—it hit different.
I kept reading. Then one post jumped out: the top concept post by recommendations, drowning in comments.
I got messed up bad fighting a griffin recently. Got dragged out to the city outskirts—thought I was done for. Then this girl shows up, calms me down with some french fries, and heals me up. Figured she might be a healer? But nah, no magic vibes. Our group's got a healer, so I know the drill—they can't even move their hands during it. Are there different healer types? Or some other class?
────(Update)────
Anyway, the girl rides this weird white tiger thing.
I knew it instantly. That's me. Author: SwordDog. Gotta be Seola—swinging a sword against that griffin fits.
Suddenly curious about her. She's nearby; might as well gather intel. I clicked her nick to check posts and comments—
Snap. Laptop battery dead.
"Ch-charging... later."
Solar's stingy on power—no wasting. Keep browsing, and I'd be showerless, freezing at night. Unless I snag a generator or big battery, just quick dips for key info. Or scout trade partners. Ark's got potential.
"You look happier, falconer."
"Like chatting with other humans again. Even if it's just vibes."
A window to the world, options everywhere.
"Mae."
"Yes?"
"Can you carry a box of potatoes far?"
"Far... can't promise. Companions weaken if too distant from the falconer."
"Huh?"
News to me. Status window! Fix your skill descriptions properly!
"Sticking close to the butler makes me strongest, nyang."
Nyangnyang, now perched on my head.
Makes sense—trade nearby, trustworthy folks. Easy info access. Big survivor group for bulk plants.
Seola only fits perfect!
"N-no choice. It's for trading..."
Hand already on the charger. Battery surged. While playing with Nyangnyang, hit 20%.
"This much..."
Need minimal power for heat. Can't guzzle it all.
Opened Ark again. Ignored rest, searched Seola's nick.
Lots of posts popped up.
[Donghae folks, come to Sam Mart.]
[Seeking Awakeners to Join Us.]
[Currently at Donghae City Hall.]
[Squid Monster from the Sea.]
[Barricade Tips?]
[Donghae Situation]
[Monsters Have Leaders?]
Picked the eye-catcher.
Roads to other areas cut off, tunnels smashed. Monsters targeting paths? Something's leading them? Priorities clear—ports hit first.
5 survivor groups down to 2. Idiots fought over food, both wiped out, lost supplies.
Donghae survivors: Head to Sam Mart. Awakeners and normals welcome.
(Group photos)
(Sam Mart area photos)
Group name: Haven.
Decent size—lots of awakeners and normals. They take everyone, no discrimination. Surprising in this era; normals rank low.
"But situation's rough..."
Photos grim: nothing intact. Mae mentioned a gate at city hall—thought they'd hold. But this? Everyone in Donghae's doomed.
"What do you all think?"
Asked my companions. Am I too reckless? Too soft? Their selfish takes might ground me.
"Do whatever, nyang."
"...A true lord stays in the castle. But needs humans for walls, falconer."
"This one says help them. Backing a group that size? Gains aplenty."
Unanimous. Nyangnyang's meh, but she'd block if she hated it.
"...Alright. First trade begins."
Seola thought back to that girl from days ago. The vivid memory resurfaced—not just the impact, but because her comrades lay gravely wounded now.
"Don't close your eyes!!!! Stay with us!!!!"
"Jihyo'll heal you soon!!"
Blood-soaked ground. Shattered weapons, orc corpses everywhere. Clearing pus-dripping orc bodies from barricades was hell, but they pushed through.
"Next wave anytime!! Move wounded, rebuild barricades!!"
"Jihyo!! Next!!!"
The lone healer Jihyo dashed between critically injured, but mana drain had her collapsing daily.
"J-Jihyo!!! Wake up!!!"
She blacked out past her limit. Comrades' faces hardened. Too many untreated—deaths imminent. Friends raged, tears flowed. No waking her now.
"......"
Thought she'd numbed to death, but helpless watching? Crushing.
Prep to send off another comrade. But—
Thud— Heavy landing.
"...W-what?!?"
"What's happening?!"
All eyes locked. From the void, it emerged: massive hawk. Razor beak, glaring eyes. Gray feathers gleamed, radiating dominance.
Overwhelming. Just standing there screamed powerhouse. Nearby normals crumpled.
Strong awakeners endured, weapons drawn.
But the hawk ignored them. Prepped to launch—before Seola's sword reached, it soared skyward.
"...Fast?!?"
Gale whipped everything. Yet its spot stayed calm, eye of the storm. A single box: green veggies. Topped with something familiar.
"F-French fries!!!!"
The miracle fries from before, right there.
