Reconstruction
In conclusion, the orcs that had filled the city were completely gone.
Of course, a tiny few remained. But compared to the numbers we'd seen just moments ago, it was an eerily small amount. This was pretty bizarre. There had been records of intelligent high-level monster individuals being taken down before. Normally, when that happened, the higher entity's death would shatter the monsters' chain of command. But they were known to regroup like wild animals, forming small packs and surviving bit by bit.
Why had it turned out like this? When I posted about it on the Ark, comments poured in like this.
Listening to this, the Orc King and Orc Queen did seem insanely hard to take down. Oh, and here "Orc Queen" is the new name Ark users gave that blob of flesh.
Anyway, it was a reasonable theory. The small orcs were classified as summons, so they all vanished when the Orc Queen died. The king had been guarding its queen like a fiend. Like how an ant queen births ants, it felt like she was birthing orcs.
Whatever. I also uploaded the video of taking down the Orc Queen. But it exposed the inside of the shell, the Tree of Life, my voice, and even my hands.
Of course, I didn't worry much about that. Nothing seemed likely to come of it anyway.
But then I saw the comments, and my mind changed.
"……."
I decided not to read any more. If I'd still had my old body, I'd have enjoyed it, but now that I was on the receiving end, it felt weird.
"Forget it!! Forget it!!!"
I shook it out of my head somehow and kept browsing Ark posts.
Honestly, from our side, the Orc King wasn't that big a deal. But objectively, Hyunwoo Park was ridiculously strong. And Haven must've grinded levels like crazy. They said killing enemies with my Bomb Flowers gave EXP too.
My face burned just reading more, so I quit. Back then, dopamine high made it fun, but now cooled off, it was embarrassing.

No, I just wanna see world updates, not all this about me!!
After browsing forever with nothing useful, about to close—then a familiar username posted.
Looks like the military and Haven are really merging. Won't be easy, but more people surviving together is good. And yeah, it was all thanks to me that these big survivor groups could merge.
In this world, big groups only hold in places without food/water worries. I supplied infinite rice and water, so they could absorb anyone and grow.
Great, but I had one big problem now.
"Thus, this one believes we must move our abode inside or near the city!!"
"No nyang. Better stay here nyang. That eternal whatever tree too dangerous near house nyang!!"
Yep, they were at it again. As my two companions argued, I faced the biggest dilemma of my life.
Haven officially invited me too. Said they'd build a house wherever I wanted in the new city.
This house was great—quiet, comfy—but I wasn't super attached. Without Mae and Nyangnyang handling threats, monsters were a huge risk anyway.
Plus, this dilemma delayed something else.

Remaining Skill Points:1
Leveled up ages ago but couldn't assign points. Depending on joining Haven or not, different skills mattered.
"Ugh... what to do."
Safer among people, but with my fame, chill life seemed impossible.
So for days, I'd just sent food supplies and brooded.
The trivial trigger that made me decide?
"Falconer, they mentioned assigning farm managers or cleaners too."
"Okay, heading to Haven."
And so, moving prep day 1 began.
