Leviathan Subjugation (1)
A dragon appeared in the deep sea. It was a bit odd that it was an Earth Dragon instead of a Sea Dragon, but what could I do? I couldn't change its species for it.
"Wipe them all out."
At my command, Terra spread her wings wide. Then—flap. A wingbeat that should have kicked up a sandstorm on land instead drew in the water here, mana swirling with it to form a massive waterspout.
Whoooosh!—It created a huge current across the area.
"Whoa."
Swarms of fish couldn't resist the flow and got sucked into the tornado, their bodies shredding apart. I approached the now-enormous Terra while watching the spectacle.
"Mind if I sit here?"
Of course.
I settled on top of her head, between her horns. Not sitting fully, but standing while gripping one horn with a hand.
Man, Terra... She polymorphed into such a tiny human girl, but her true form was pretty damn big. Earth Dragons tend to be large, but she's on the bigger side even among them. Did absorbing that ancient Red Dragon's mana make her grow more? I might have to start calling her a Red Earth Dragon now.
"Terra, you're pretty popular, huh?"
Am I?
"Heh, good. Fire a heat ray Breath now! Let's wrap this up quick and head down!"
Got it!
Fwoooosh!—As I thrust out my hand and gave the order, Terra unleashed her Breath, slashing at the approaching fish with her claws. Some got too close despite that.
Splat!—I took care of those with magic. Ah, this is kinda fun. Like one of those arcade shooting games?
"Don't try this at home, guys. Dragons don't usually let people ride on their backs like this."
"Well, donate about 10 billion won, and I could grab you by the leg and hoist you up?"
Crunch!—
The things around Goldie-nim seem cleared up.
While I was messing around with the chat and viewers, Terra finished cleaning up.
"Good, hold steady— we're diving fast now."
Got it.
Snap—I flicked my fingers.
The water currents twisted dramatically to my will. I gripped Terra's horn tight, and—
Whoosh!—Folding her wings, she plunged into the rapids like a power dive, racing toward the depths.
"Wheee!"
Are you okay?
"Yeah! Reminds me of those old amusement park rides."
5,000 meters. 6,000 meters. Plummeting at insane speed, the surroundings shifting—I shouted to Terra.
"Terra! Hold the Red Dragon mana in your mouth! Fire when I say!"
Understood.
Her throat glowed red-hot, and patterns I'd only seen on that ancient Red Dragon emerged on her body. Happens when you use another being's alien power. Proof she can't handle it fully yet.
Anyway, at 10,500 meters depth—
"Fire!"
I leaped off her head toward the bottom. Fwoom!—A massive fireball erupted. Should've gone out in water, but mana-fueled flames boiled the sea instead.
Revealing the seafloor crater below, and at its bottom—
Thud—A colossal body coiled in a circle entered my view.
"Alright, wormy. Time to come up with us."
Flash!—My Dragon Eye activated before the immense mana of the Leviathan. Its eyes gleamed murderously. It raised its head, jaws gaping wide—
Bang!—And fired a compressed water jet upward.
Boom!—Terra's Red Dragon Breath, pierced by it, lost form and scattered.
Like a meteor, I charged in.
Crack!—A heavy impact echoed from its maw almost simultaneously.
Obviously, between human-form me and dragon-form Terra, it saw her as the bigger threat. That's why it targeted the falling Breath instead of me.
"Figures. Size alone doesn't make a dragon."
I eyed its recoiled head from the impact. Crocodile face, serpentine body. Coiled up, it looked like a massive mountain.
But just a mindless monster, no intellect.
———!!
"Time to bait it."
I spread my palm, gathering mana.
A golden orb formed. I blew on it, and it floated forward like it had a mind of its own. True to its name, a pure aggro skill. Instinct-driven beasts usually chase the shine.
But—
Boom!—
"Whoops."
It fired a compressed water cannon right at me, making the description pointless.
Doesn't seem very effective...
"Yeah."
This thing's got some resistance. Should've spent a few million on a stronger one. But resummoning would waste cash...
"Terra? Beat it up a bit. Once its mental strength drops from the pounding, it'll follow."
Understood.
"Oh. Wanna do a magic lesson while we're at it?"
Bang!—"Anyone know what this is?"
Magic Missile is basic-of-basics magic. Should be the same on Earth. I'd watched other hunters' streams—they used familiar basics too.
Anyway.
"There's a reason it's called basic magic. Super simple to cast and stable."
Stable means it rarely breaks even at high output. If you can control it.
"Like this."
"Can't? Practice till you can. Humans in my world did it."
A gigantic Magic Missile the size of Leviathan's head materialized above me.
"Leviathan ain't that easy, guys. In water, its heart keeps beating. Insane regen."
Chats flooded with "Then how do you kill it?"
Easy question, no?
"It regenerates in water, right? Kill it out of water. Bonus: heart crystallizes into a gem."
That's my target.
Whoosh!—I swung my hand down like slamming a hammer.
Like an invisible mallet strike, a thunderous impact as the missile rocketed forward. Sensing the threat, Leviathan fired a high-compression water cannon back.
Wanna go?
"Terra, get ready to pull it up. Ending this quick."
Got it!
Snap—
The missile accelerated wildly. With spin from Path Twisting, it bulldozed the water cannon—
Kraka-kaka!—Charging ferociously. Left alone, it'd land a solid hit.
But.
"Needs more impact."
Splash—I kicked off the water, fist clenched. Gotta make it flashy.
Golden energy gathered in my fist. I leaped right behind the missile and smashed it with all my might—
Flash!—A brilliant light exploded in the abyss.
Confusion flickered in Leviathan's eyes, but before it could process—
Splorch!—Its head pierced by the missile, vanished first.
