This war further reduced the human population.
Fortunately, the conflict lasted only three years before it came to an end.
The war ended not only because people realized that continued fighting would lead to humanity's extinction, but also because the number of mutated beasts on Earth was increasing rapidly.
These mutated beasts, also known as Gene Beasts, posed a severe threat to human survival.
Villages and towns were frequently wiped out by these creatures.
In response, martial arts began to flourish as humans sought ways to survive and defend themselves.
In March 2044, the Earth Martial Arts Alliance was established.
However, martial arts training was slow and depended heavily on one's innate talent.
Some proposed enhancing human strength by altering genes.
