A Dog Bowl and Pee Pad for Jia
Lee Jia stared at the dog bowl filled with water in front of her, utterly dumbfounded. She, who had always been adored by everyone for her stunning looks, could not believe she was now being treated like a dog. Rage exploded inside her heart.
As she spoke to Dohyung, Jia broke down in tears. Under normal circumstances, seeing a beautiful woman like Jia sitting on the floor and crying bitterly would stir pity in most people’s hearts. They would want to comfort and help her. These tears, after all, were not fake—they were real.
But the only other person here was Dohyung. And even though her tears were genuine, he knew through magic that she wasn’t crying out of remorse toward him. That was why, no matter how hard she wept, he felt no desire to forgive her.
"Yeah, they were the real trash. Absolute human garbage. And that bitch Jiseon too. But you still bullied me, didn’t you?"
At Dohyung’s words, Jia lifted her tear-streaked face.
"That’s not for you to decide. I’m the one handing out the punishment. And let me ask you something. There are four of you—why do you think I kidnapped you first?"
When Jia first heard those words, she didn’t understand what he meant. But after thinking it over carefully, the answer came to her.
"That’s right. And you were the very first one I brought in."
Dohyung crouched down to meet her eye level.
"Here’s a question! With four people I want to kidnap, why did I start with you? Don’t worry—if you get it wrong, I won’t punish you. In fact, if you get it right, I’ll even give you a reward. So? Any guesses?"
Jia racked her brain at his words. It was true that all four of them had bullied Dohyung—she couldn’t deny that. But she had no idea why she had been chosen first.
"Hmm… looks like you still don’t know. I’ll come back tomorrow morning, so think about it until then~."
Dohyung stood up, picking up the dog bowl filled with water he had offered her earlier.
Jia panicked when she saw him about to leave with the bowl meant for her and called out to stop him.
"You look like you won’t drink it anyway. And even though I told you to speak formally to me, you switched to casual speech halfway through. That’s your punishment. I’ll bring water again in the morning."
Leaving behind Jia’s desperate cries, Dohyung walked slowly to the door, opened it, and left.
Jia kept shouting at Dohyung as he left the room, but nothing came back. Her throat only grew drier.
Ah… fuck, seriously…
Cursing Dohyung inwardly for taking the water, Jia suddenly remembered what he had said.
By the way, why did he kidnap me first? Does the order matter…?
Jia still couldn’t fully accept why she had been brought here and forced to endure this.
I was just… standing next to them. Wasn’t I? So why is he doing this to me…?
She tried her hardest to recall the reason Dohyung had mentioned. Unfortunately, nothing came to mind.
If I had to guess… maybe I was the easiest one to kidnap out of the four?
Thinking about the others, she figured the physically strong Kwon Jiseon would be difficult to abduct. Being a Taekwondo national representative wasn’t for nothing. Jiseon had once proudly bragged that a junior who took one of her kicks wrong had ended up in the hospital.
To kidnap Jiseon, I’d probably have to be ready to get injured somewhere. Or hire people.
The next candidates were Moon Taehyun and Han Eunji. But from Jia’s perspective, it was hard to imagine Dohyung kidnapping those two. Both of them stood at the absolute peak of power and wealth in South Korea. Kidnapping people like that couldn’t be easy.
Jiseon might be manageable with enough money and hired muscle, but Taehyun and Eunji would be on another level. In comparison, Jia knew she wasn’t particularly strong, nor did she have the kind of power to protect herself.
So he picked me first because I was the easiest? Maybe he plans to use me as an example, torture me, and then use that to threaten the others?
No matter how hard she thought about it, reading Dohyung’s intentions wasn’t easy.
Ah… I really don’t know. He said he wouldn’t punish me even if I got it wrong, so I’ll just sleep.
Jia decided to set the headache-inducing problem aside and tried to lie down.
The moment she tried to lie on her side, she realized the chain connected to her collar was too short to let her rest her head on the floor. No matter how hard she pulled, the chain wouldn’t stretch.
Fuck… I can’t even lie down properly, my throat is dry, and I can’t drink any water… Fuck. Fuck…
With no other choice, she confirmed she could at least rest her head on the small table and laid herself across it to sleep.
Where the hell am I? To keep people from finding out he kidnapped me, it must be some deep mountain villa basement, right? When is the police going to come… I hope they catch that bastard soon.
Jia tried to close her eyes and cursed Dohyung in her heart, hoping the police would find her in this unknown place.
Every moment of Jia falling asleep in the basement was being watched by Dohyung through the CCTV installed in his room. Beating her earlier had been fun, but watching her suffer like this felt even more refreshing.
"But this is only the beginning. My revenge is just getting started."
Even while he was in the other world, Dohyung had never forgotten his revenge for a single moment. The stronger he became, the more completely he believed he could achieve it, so he had pursued power relentlessly. That was how he had reached this point.
Kidnapping Jia had been ridiculously easy. He used teleportation magic to break into her house, cast a sleep spell to put the already-sleeping Jia into an even deeper slumber, and brought her straight here.
After confirming she had fallen asleep, Dohyung stood up. He slowly left his room, walked down the hallway, opened the door, and stepped outside.
What greeted him was the sight of taxis and people passing by late at night in the city.
"Heh… hehehe!"
Jia probably thought she was locked away in some deep forest mountain villa, but in reality she was trapped inside a building right in the middle of the city. Reading her mistaken assumption made Dohyung want to burst out laughing. The impossible fantasy that the police would come and arrest him was especially hilarious.
Jia, the police can’t come here. To anyone else, this place just looks like an ordinary residential house.
The sounds coming from the basement where Jia was held were completely blocked by magic. And even if the police came to investigate the house for some reason, it would be useless. The entrance to the basement was hidden by perception obstruction magic.
In truth, Dohyung had no intention of revealing the existence of magic to Jia or the others he planned to take revenge on.
If I show them absurd magic too early, they’ll lose all hope and break mentally.
That wasn’t the direction he wanted. What Dohyung desired was for all of them to slowly wither away and die in despair.
You all have to keep suffering without being able to give up hope. Just like I did.
Back when he was being bullied, Dohyung had held onto the hope that things would get better the next day, or that adults might help him. But in the end, no one had come to his aid.
Ah, there was one person. I wonder how she’s doing these days…
Chuckling to himself, Dohyung leisurely stepped outside and entered a large nearby supermarket to buy some snacks. Then he stopped in one corner of the store.
"Oh, I should buy this too. I need to get this for that cute little thing."
It was the pet supplies section.
"Ugh… mm… Ah, my whole body is so stiff…"
In a place without clocks or sunlight, Jia woke up. But because she hadn’t been able to sleep deeply in such an uncomfortable environment, she felt exhausted. The moment she opened her eyes, what she felt wasn’t refreshment but a burning thirst in her throat and a stomach that screamed with hunger.
Since being captured by Dohyung, she hadn’t eaten or drunk a single thing.
Ah… I feel like I’m going to die… I should have just drunk the water yesterday…
Jia, who no longer even had the strength to get angry, stared blankly at the door, hoping Dohyung would come. It was an ironic situation—now she was actually waiting for the man she used to hate seeing.
Not long after she sat up, footsteps approached. The door opened, and Dohyung entered the room. In one hand he held the dog bowl and a water container from the night before. In the other was a large black plastic bag.
"Here, Jia. Your throat must be really dry, right?"
Dohyung filled the dog bowl with water and held it out to her. The moment the bowl of water came near, Jia immediately lowered her head to drink. But because of the collar, she couldn’t lower her head far enough for her mouth to reach it.
"Oh, right. Just wait a second."
Seeing this, Dohyung approached her and loosened the chain connected to the wall. Feeling a bit more freedom around her neck, Jia tried to drink right away, but this time Dohyung pulled the chain back, stopping her.
"Guh!"
The collar tightened from the pulled chain, cutting off her breath for a moment.
"Jia, don’t you have something you need to do before drinking the water?"
When Jia barely managed to speak, Dohyung loosened the chain. Feeling the pressure around her neck disappear, Jia frantically lowered her head into the bowl and drank greedily. She remembered Dohyung’s order from yesterday not to use her hands.
It was an incredibly humiliating situation, but the desperate thirst made her forget all about it as she lapped up the water like a dog.
It’s delicious! Was water always this good?
Jia drank every last drop from the dog bowl in an instant. Once her thirst was somewhat quenched, she felt a strange gaze and looked up to see Dohyung filming her with his phone.
"Wow… The once-beautiful Jia is now drinking water from a dog bowl like a mutt. If I upload this online, it’ll get tons of views, won’t it?"
"That depends on how you behave. If you listen to me well, it’ll stay as my private collection. But if you act like an idiot and don’t understand my words, I might just release it."
Dohyung chuckled as he saved the video on his phone. The thought of other people seeing what she had just done filled Jia with unbearable shame.
And once her unbearable thirst was relieved, another ordeal arrived.
Ah, fuck…
"Hm? What is it, Jia?"
Thankfully, it was only urine that Jia needed to release.
"Then we’ll have to go to the bathroom."
At Dohyung’s words, Jia let out a sigh of relief. She had been worried he might not even let her use the bathroom, just like he had refused her water yesterday. But that relief vanished instantly.
"I already prepared something just for you. Here we go!"
Dohyung pulled something out of the large black bag he had brought and spread it on the floor. Then he laid a white pad on top of it.
"There. Bathroom complete!"
What Dohyung called a completed bathroom was actually a pee pad used for house-training dogs.
