Korean Streamer Minor Gallery
I scrolled through the message board. This feeling—like coming home. Back in the day, when the only things in my life were internet streaming and Mahsin Legend: Hermenian, with no friends or fun to be had, this board was the one place that made me feel connected to other people.
It was full of folks just like me, for whom internet streaming was their one and only friend. Others might've seen it as pathetic, but no one else could relate to me quite like these people.
Plus, back ten years ago, the internet streaming scene was deep in the shadows, but now it had broadened its audience and stepped into the light somewhat.
……Of course, that was all before I blacked out—and now it was the era of RenaPpi dancing and singing on music shows, with Infinite Noir right there alongside her. What the hell had happened in that one year?
Pushing aside the curiosity—it wasn't that important anyway—I took a quick look around the board.
Yeah. The world had definitely changed a lot in that year. But the posts on this board? Not a damn thing had changed about them.
The only difference? The streamers' names.
'Why is it exactly like that……?'
Even though I'd been dead certain, the post was so spot-on identical that I couldn't help but let out a hollow laugh.
I could predict the comments too. Probably something like "[The funny thing is this is real]." I scrolled down to check.
Ha. Close, but one miss. Not "amazing" but "funny." Good thing I didn't bet my balls on it.
Anyway—surprisingly, seeing this unchanged post filled me with a strange sense of relief. The world around me had flipped in just one year, my situation had totally changed—but this place was exactly the same as it was back then.
'Haha. That's the Korean Streamer Minor Gallery for ya.' I rubbed my nose.
A few other eye-catching titles caught my eye.
Lots of Noir-bashing posts lately? Probably 100% bait to stir shit up between fandoms, but whatever—I'd bite anyway. Clicked it.
'Haa.'
How? This template was exactly the same a year ago or now. I'd seen posts like this before. Only the streamer names changed. The details were identical down to the letter.
Sure, some minor specifics varied. But the point? Pure shitposting optimized for [trolling], just shadowboxing over and over. How the hell it got enough upvotes to hit the popular list was beyond me—made me chuckle bitterly.
Anyway—after just five minutes browsing, I got the gist of the slang.
Infinite Noir fans were called "Neuparom" as a slur. "Neugal" for the gallery itself too. "Neu" stuck to everything, spawning a ton of variants.
Their rivals, Milky Way Horizon, were uniformly "Milky Dogs." They got mentioned more overall—probably 'cause their VTubers did streams that clicked with the board's tastes.
'Hooking your fandom on this board is like a poisoned chalice…….'
Worried me for a sec—but hell, I didn't even know who was in Milky Way Horizon. Not my business.
Right now? Time to dig into Minaero from Infinite Noir.
I stopped wandering random threads and searched "[Minaero]".
Hit search, and pages of results popped up instantly. Easy to spot the common theme in all of them.
'……She did back-gaming?'
Back-gaming: Playing games off-stream, quietly by yourself.
If you're a normal person grinding real life—a [god-tier normie]—you'd go, "Huh? So what's the problem?" Fair question. Totally valid.
But for streamers? Especially female VTubers in the simp-boiling business? Two absolute no-gos.
First: Back-gaming included—doing anything off-stream without broadcasting. More precisely, getting caught at it.
Second: Taking off Christmas and Christmas Eve.
If you're yelling "What bullshit is that?", honestly, no real defense. Neither's some huge moral crime.
But one thing's certain: Do either, and your revenue drops steadily, guaranteed.
Worse if your main content is [boiling simps].
Christmas first—picture selling the dream of homebody virgin girlfriend to simps, peak cozy gamer girl vibes. Then ghosting on the day that dream overflows? Unforgivable.
No one calls out the streamer directly for off days. Simps won't either. They'll just post lame Christmas movie memes on fan sites or whatever.
But from that moment, the simp's heart cools. Bit by bit. Then they seek a new pot to stew them thick against harsh reality—a fresh love.
Thus, the simp swaps their oshi* streamer.
What simp-pro streamers get wrong: Thinking fans love 'em no matter what.
Half-true. Simps are sweethearts; they forgive a lot.
But skipping Christmas? Even they can't sweet-talk that away. And plenty of other simp-boilers out there.
Riding that line right? Basics of the trade.
Stuff I'd dropped in Yuksu Studies 101 lessons for RenaPpi.
And what Minaero seemed to pull? The first one—back-gaming.
Less disastrous than Christmas off-days, at least. Patterns vary wildly, so fixability depends.
The game she apparently back-gamed during off-time? Famous AOS Dungeon of Leader. Nicknamed "Dol," super popular—tons play it, leagues active.
'As long as it wasn't duoing with a famous male streamer, pro gamer, or dude-ish nickname, we can spin it.'
Clutching that hope, I checked the post "[Snagged Screenshots of Minaero Back-Doling Non-Stop During Off Period]".
'……….'
Back-dol. Duo. With a presumed dude.
Witnessing the worst trinity up close, one thought hit me.
'……I want a cigarette…….'
For the first time, I regretted quitting smoking.
