Chapter 57: Two Fists and a Kick
Lan Xiaobu took a few steps back and said to Ke’er, “Then don’t hold back, take him down.”
Even though he knew he wasn’t a match for Lenna, Ke’er charged forward without a hint of hesitation.
“Got guts,” Lenna sneered, throwing a punch at Ke’er.
Feeling the overwhelming pressure of the punch’s wind, Ke’er understood that he absolutely could not clash with the opponent head-on.
Just as Ke’er dodged, Lan Xiaobu shouted, “Ke’er, what are you afraid of? Hit him back with a punch. Just go all out and smash him!”
The people around looked at Lan Xiaobu as if he were an idiot. To clash head-on with Lenna, who had the strength of three horses, wasn’t that foolishness?
Before Ke’er could regain his stance, Lenna swung his second punch.
Everyone present could see that Ke’er could at most dodge the second punch, but the third punch would undoubtedly hit him. Unless Ke’er also retaliated with a punch.
Setting aside the fact that Ke’er lost the initiative by dodging the first punch, even if he had the upper hand, could he really trade blows with someone who had the strength of three horses?
But Ke’er had immense faith in Lan Xiaobu. Since Lan Xiaobu could cheat during the Star Expedition Army assessment without anyone noticing, how could he possibly harm Ke’er?
Without a second thought, as Lenna’s punch came crashing towards Ke’er’s head, Ke’er also threw a punch back.
Those beside him saw Ke’er’s action and could only think one thing: this guy is insane. He actually dared to clash with Lenna, and he was doing it in a rush after losing his position from the first punch. At this moment, even if they were evenly matched, losing position would put him at a disadvantage, not to mention that Ke’er and Lenna were not on the same level.
Lenna’s eyes were filled with madness; he was furious and amused that Ke’er dared to throw a punch back at him. If he didn’t smash Ke’er’s head into pulp with this punch, then he, Lenna, would be worthless.
However, before his fist could collide with Ke’er’s, a piercing pain erupted deep in his soul, as if it were tearing his very essence apart.
Lenna let out a shrill scream, and the strength in his hand instantly diminished. Ke’er’s fist had already slammed into Lenna’s fist.
Lan Xiaobu was overjoyed. He had wanted to see the effect of the Soul Thorn by getting Ke’er to make a move. Now it seemed the results were quite impressive; he had only used one stab, and Lenna was already in trouble.
“Crack!” Lenna’s fist bones shattered under the loss of momentum, and Ke’er was ecstatic. Indeed, listening to Xiaobu was the right choice.
He didn’t pause at all. As Lenna staggered back, he threw another punch down. As for why Lenna screamed after that punch, Ke’er didn’t even think about it at that moment.
“Crack!” Everyone around heard the sound of Lenna’s skull cracking. Eight hundred kilograms of force crashed down on Lenna’s brow bone; no matter how tough the bone was, it would break.
This time, Lenna didn’t even have time to scream, collapsing like a broken wall. Ke’er didn’t hold back, walking over and delivering another kick to Lenna’s chest. Since Xiaobu said to kill Lenna, he naturally wouldn’t hold back.
Blood spurted from Lenna’s mouth, and everyone knew that Lenna had been killed by Ke’er.
The few members of Lenna’s team instinctively took a step back. With their Junior Lieutenant dead, they had no reason to advance; they hurriedly decided to go back and select another Junior Lieutenant. The two qualified candidates’ eyes lit up; their opportunity had come.
“Wait…” Seeing Lenna’s team members wanting to leave, Lan Xiaobu immediately called out to them.
A burly man quickly stepped forward, clasping his fists to Lan Xiaobu and saying, “Junior Lieutenant, we are just soldiers recruited by Lenna, and have nothing to do with him. Moreover, we have no intention of taking over your territory; we just want to leave.”
Lan Xiaobu pointed at Lenna’s corpse on the ground. “Take your Junior Lieutenant away; leaving him here will dirty my ground.”
“Of course!” The few men had no objections, quickly lifting Lenna’s body and leaving rapidly.
The onlookers around silently dispersed. Lenna was a powerful figure from a Level-Two Technological Civilization Planet, yet he had been killed by Ke’er with two punches and a kick. Knowing that Ke’er wasn’t even a Junior Lieutenant, one could imagine how strong Lan Xiaobu, the Junior Lieutenant, must be. Why stick around and offend someone?
In the distance, the first man who had approached felt a wave of regret. Thankfully, he hadn’t tried to seize Lan Xiaobu’s camp; otherwise, Lenna’s fate would have been his. “Junior Lieutenant, you killed Lenna?” Ding He asked excitedly. He, along with A Xu and Qin Yue, had just arrived, but the battle had already concluded, and they only saw Lenna’s body being taken away.
Lan Xiaobu patted Ke’er on the back. “I didn’t kill him; it was Ke’er who took him down.”
Ke’er raised his fist proudly and said, “How about that? Am I impressive? I used just two punches and a kick to end the fight.”
Though he said this, Ke’er was very aware that Lan Xiaobu had likely helped him secretly. Just like how Lan Xiaobu helped him cheat, no one had noticed. It seemed he had truly underestimated the Junior Lieutenant; he had to learn that Pure Yang Infinite Technique that Lan Xiaobu mentioned.
A Xu looked at Ke’er with newfound admiration; although she was a woman, she was filled with a combative spirit.
Ding He, excited, stepped forward and said, “Big Brother Ke’er, what kind of punch did you use? I heard Lenna had three horses’ strength in one punch.”
Ke’er chuckled, “I used Flying Bull Fist. You’ve heard of it, right? This punch concentrates explosive power and has incredible speed. Don’t be fooled by my strength not being greater than Lenna’s; my punch’s explosive force is strong!”
Hearing it was Flying Bull Fist, Ding He’s excitement diminished. Flying Bull Fist wasn’t a profound martial art; many people could learn it.
Lan Xiaobu said, “There are exactly five rooms here; everyone can choose one.”
“Junior Lieutenant, you’re amazing! You were the first to arrive here and got such a great place to stay.” Ding He lost interest in the Flying Bull Fist but truly admired Lan Xiaobu.
He had joined Lan Xiaobu’s team out of necessity, not expecting that Ke’er in Lan Xiaobu’s team would be so skilled and had even taken down his sworn enemy, Lenna.
“Indeed, you are strong.” A Xu also felt that Lan Xiaobu was extraordinary. If one were to say it was just good luck that he found West Cloud Lake first, she absolutely wouldn’t believe it.
The new recruits joining the Star Expedition Army came from diverse backgrounds, each with their own secrets. Lan Xiaobu’s rise to Junior Lieutenant and being the first to find West Cloud Lake naturally indicated he had his own secrets. However, she wouldn’t be like Ke’er, asking Lan Xiaobu about his secrets.
Lan Xiaobu waved his hand and entered his room first. There wouldn’t be any missions for three days; he wanted to continue pushing for the second tier of Spirit Refining Technique.
Upon entering the room, Lan Xiaobu saw two messages appearing on a huge crystal screen in front of him.
The first message stated that all new recruits must report to the Star Expedition Army Mission Hall in three days to accept the tasks for reserve recruits. The second message indicated that the aerial route for the West Cloud Lake new military camp had been planned, and the spatial coordinates were now displayed.
Lan Xiaobu immediately provided the information. Just two or three minutes later, Kunlun had already landed on the external battle shuttle docking platform.
As the Kunlun hatch opened, the anxious ancient path, who had experienced the dazzling outside world, rushed out first as soon as the flying saucer door opened.
“Ha ha, Ancient Path, come over here! I’ll take you to eat some meat.” Ke’er was about to tell Lan Xiaobu that the aerial route for the battle shuttle had come out, only to find that Lan Xiaobu’s flying saucer had already arrived, and Ancient Path had come out.
“Oh, what a beautiful wolf cub…” Qin Yue, A Xu, and Ding He also walked out as their flying saucers landed one after another in the battle shuttle docking area.
Ke’er, familiar with the situation, walked up to Ancient Path. “Isn’t it beautiful? Its name is Ancient Path, and it’s the Junior Lieutenant’s pet. Next time I go back to Lupu, I’m going to buy one too. Ancient Path is very obedient, but you have to feed it meat.”
“It really is beautiful.” Ding He walked around Ancient Path, the golden streak on its back was simply too eye-catching.
Although he said it was beautiful, Ding He still felt like he had seen Ancient Path somewhere before.
