I Met God (5)
"...Huh?"
The result was so astonishing that even Hong Suyeon raised an eyebrow. The full story of how Nam Haneul snagged a double kill all by herself was simpler than it seemed.
'Wha?'
You have completed the Overwhelming Presence lecture.
For the duration of the next game, Judgment increases by 30 temporarily.
I Can Judge Too!
📍 Objective: Prove your Judgment in front of Empress Hong Suyeon this game—not with Physical, but with Judgment and Comprehension. Earn her recognition!
🎁 Reward: Acquire skill Solomon
💀 Failure: Intellect -10
[Hong Suyeon's Interest (Incomplete)]
'Oh no.'
At first, she thought the Judgment boost was just a nice bonus. But reading the mission that followed, she realized failure meant losing precious Intellect points. And it demanded she prove herself in Judgment—a field she wasn't confident in at all.
"Phew..."
"Nervous? You want my praise that badly?"
"Huh? N-no."
Hong Suyeon's presence was an extra distraction. Cornered, Nam Haneul fell into her habit of patting her own cheeks.
"Ah."
She regretted it a little afterward, of course. But with the mission demanding her focus, the embarrassment didn't hit too hard.
During this mission, skill Concentration is replaced by Solomon.
Solomon
Once per game, for 1 minute: Access perfect judgment.
'Huh?'
Her greatest weapon, Concentration, had been swapped out. Even after reading Solomon's description, Nam Haneul tilted her head, not quite grasping it.
'What kind of skill is this?'
The game started without her fully understanding, and she headed to lane first. Sharvel had the longest base range among ADCs. Paired with Kiel's many long-range, non-target skills, it gave them a lane advantage.
"You can stretch Beran's range even further if you control it right. Don't push too hard—poke slowly."
But Beran's uniqueness: Attacks ricocheted off walls, extending their reach beyond Sharvel's. Used well, it outranged Sharvel.
"Got it, yep."
Even with Judgment at 71 from the +30 boost, it wasn't easy for her. She'd barely played Beran—a new champ that didn't suit her tastes anyway.
Whoosh—
Misses forced her and the enemy support to eat poke while the lane pushed in. Pinned under tower, hugging it for minions, Hong Suyeon leaned toward Nam Haneul's shoulder.
"Calculate the coin's speed. Predict like a rhythm. Use E to clear waves and exploit gaps."
With Hong Suyeon's coaching, Nam Haneul's play sharpened. Her 70+ Judgment and Physical stats helped, especially dodging key skills—honed by Osya into something exceptional.
Hong Suyeon stepped back to watch. Things were stabilizing; now she could gauge the real skill.
And then, the mishap: Their support Ludheim.
"Huh?"
Their Ludheim fixated on dodging the orb, stepping forward by mistake. Shockingly, the orb hit minions behind him and exploded—bouncing him forward into the enemy.
Sharvel didn't miss: Ult, Aim Prep, stunning Ludheim deep in enemy territory.
The lane had pushed after a tower farm; positions were already forward. Now Ludheim was stunned cold.
"What the—"
Nam Haneul was dumbfounded. She'd just gotten the hang of it, her skill accuracy improving with the Judgment boost. But this curveball threatened an early kill deficit.
Biting her lip, she dashed toward the bounced Ludheim.
Viewers mostly disagreed. Ludheim was toast; following meant feeding a double. Her Physical was elite, but Beran needed wall ricochets for big damage—not a miracle-maker like Osya.
'Hmm, this is...'
Hong Suyeon pondered differently. She'd dive too—in her hands, mastering Beran meant wiping them. Ludheim wasn't dead yet; he could flash skills before dying.
But—
'That's me. For her, it's a misplay.'
Nam Haneul couldn't turn the ever-shifting geometry into hits. A double—or any gain—was impossible.
What Hong Suyeon hadn't predicted: Nam Haneul's new skill, Solomon.
'Solomon..!'
A different sensation from Concentration. Activating it overlaid golden lines and text on her monitor—like running an external program, a hack.
The guidelines detailed: Beran skill trajectories, movement paths, enemy cooldowns, jungle positions—nearly all in-game info.
Nam Haneul's job: Follow the lines and text.
'Gotta read fast and move.'
No time-slow like Concentration; it was pure her. But her 71 Physical held up, executing most judgments.
Salimoori has been slain.
Ludheim's death throes dumped all skills, slowing enemies with his ring and chunking them.
Guided skills ricocheted perfectly off walls. Even with enemies hiding behind minions, she hit like a Beran veteran.
Skills, autos, positioning—perfect harmony. Dodge theirs, land hers—
Surgeon'sHand has been slain.
PerkingMama has been slain.
Enemy bot duo eliminated.
Viewers exploded. Near-perfect Beran play—even Hong Suyeon would approve. Each split-second call felt like the optimal answer, evoking someone specific.
'...Hong Subin?'
Nam Haneul's style leaned toward Hong Suyeon: pro-level Physical dazzling the eye, emphasizing physical wins.
Hong Subin was the opposite: Covering weak Physical with flawless calculation and judgment.
To Hong Suyeon, that play screamed her brother.
"Ha, not bad?"
And she didn't like it. Some deep, inexplicable irritation bubbled up.
Oblivious, Nam Haneul marveled at Solomon.
'Like... seeing the test with answers.'
Status window's perfect judgment lines. She just traced them with her mouse and cast as prompted.
Reward distributed.
Skill Solomon acquired!
Mission cleared: New skill gained, Concentration back. She could use each once more this game.
She farmed lane comfortably now, saving both for a key teamfight.
World slowed; guidelines appeared. For that minute, she played near-Hong Suyeon level.
Super carry win incoming, she smiled.
But happiness invites misfortune?
Gurgle—
Her tense stomach, now relaxed, cramped harder.
"Ugh..!"
Cold sweat beading, she glanced at Hong Suyeon—staring intently at the screen.
She endured, but the pain worsened.
'Urk...'
Legs twisting, head down.
Hong Suyeon, mid-focus, noticed late and worried.
"Huh? You okay—"
"W-wait, one sec!"
As Hong Suyeon approached, Nam Haneul bolted up and sprinted to the bathroom—clueless where it was, but she couldn't stay seated.
Luckily, full momentum—they won despite her brief absence.
But Hong Suyeon and viewers pieced it together... and couldn't hold back laughs.
"...Pfft."
Irritation and confusion melted into laughter as Hong Suyeon realized.
'I want her. Nam Haneul.'
