ASMR? Air Strike MotherfuckeR!
ASMR...? I'd finished setting up the stream and lightly wiggled my fingers. A 3D avatar popped up on the black screen, humming along.
Its lips moved in sync with mine, its face shifting with my expressions. No BGM, no background noise—I tested the mic sensitivity with a yell, nodded my head to a little tune. All the while, my brain kept plotting and tweaking plans.
I'm not aiming too high from the start. I've got a solid grip on self-assessment.
"Around ten viewers, something like that."
For VTubers—or streamers in general—most of the firepower comes from communities. That's why corporate-backed ones blast off fast; that brand name ignites easily in the forums. Flip side? A solo streamer with zero promo, connections, or name recognition? Dramatic explosions on day one are a pipe dream. Fact of life.
"Not expecting the world."
Today's just a simple intro—who I am, what the avatar's about. Realistically, ten or so viewers, like a single platoon? That's a win.
About five minutes in? While I was just humming casually, the chat started flooding at an insane rate. Not thousands or tens of thousands pouring in dramatically, of course.
What the hell, 29 people?
But we'd already blown past my initial target of ten. Way past. 29, 31, 34, 39, 42, 54... Viewer count was climbing at a scary pace.
"Uh, ahem... Nice to meet you all?"
A quick greeting, waving my hand with a little shake.
Just a simple wave, but the reaction was explosive, no exaggeration. Viewer count had jumped from double digits toward 200.
Gotta thank Tanya.
Zero effort from me, just the model and thumbnail pulling this heat. Appearance is king, after all. No agency, no promo, and still newb buff hitting hard. I ignored the climbing viewer counter at the bottom of the screen, forced down my goofy grin, and dropped a line.
"Megacorp? I'm just a high school girl who dropped into South Joseon today?"
"Hey now! North Joseon? I'm not from that puppet state!"
"Why South Joseon?"
I said it with a grin. My Lake Baikal-blue eyes sparkled, curving into a beautiful arc. Fluttering eyelids, strands of golden hair cascading softly down my body—it hooked every viewer.
Really gotta thank Tanya.
Beaming a smile, I tossed a line to the viewers. Riding the chat's hype, I cranked up the energy for my intro.
"Ahem, anyway, nice to meet you, comrades! Your girl from far-off Leningrad, now in South Joseon! Russian VDV paratrooper, 18-year-old high school girl-chan, Katyusha!"
"Hmm... North Joseon and South Joseon... The answer's obvious, right?"
North Korea or South Korea—which is better? Obviously...
"I prefer West Korea over North or South Korea."
"Ahuhuhu, right! West Joseon! Pyongyang, Kaesong, Incheon, Seoul—all there. You know it."
Glanced at the viewer count—breached 200, settled at 240. Good, good, perfect. They say a good start is half the battle? This is more than half. Killer launch.
"Anyway, I'm a Soviet-born... 18-year-old military high school girl-chan, got it?"
Damn, they spot these quick. The blonde beauty avatar's eyebrows twitched rebelliously. Nitpicking from the jump? Figures—Korean viewers are troublemakers. Expected it, though.
"I've been holding a gun since I was -20!"
"So you get it? Don't fuck around. I'm a high school girl-chan born to the sound of Kalashnikovs and Siberian wilderness—no cap, okay?"
"Ahuhuhu."
This is fun. So damn fun. Spouting nonsense, and they eat it up.
This is why people stream.
New revelation: streaming is a blast.
LickLickLickLickLickLick donated 100,000 won!
Super rookie debut lol Can't resist Soviet 18yo military high school girl-chan
And bam—donos popping off.
Oh, reaction time.
Stream rule: react to donos. But problem.
What do I do?
Didn't plan for donos on day one! Who drops 100k on a no-prep debut from a nobody? But surprise—here they are.
"Uh... LickLickLickLickLickLick, 100,000 won—thank you so much!"
Thanks first, but then? What now?
"Uh... Didn't prep a reaction, so if it's cool, mind if I do a quick ASMR?"
Chill, dude.
No, not like that. Ahem.
"Alright... hold on, everyone..."
ASMR—Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Basically, tingly good sounds. But... acronyms are flexible, right?
"Ah, ah, can you hear me clear, everyone?"
"Wanna hear ASMR from a high school girl?"
"Puhuhu."
The 3D avatar leaned right up to the mic, golden hair swaying with a soft smile. Mic sensitivity set, I exhaled a sweet, drowsy breath—hoo...
"CP! CP! FUCKING CP!!! YOU HEAR ME!?"
All that pent-up rage from the past—I screamed it out.
"ALPHA HERE! ALPHA HERE! ISOLATED! FUCKING TRAPPED IN TALIBAN SHITHOLE!"
Still pisses me off thinking about it.
"WHAT SHITHOLE DID SUPPLIES GO THROUGH? FOUR DAYS PAST DUE AND NOTHING—YOU COMMIE FUCKS!"
Veins bulging, voice cracking—I screamed till it tore. Syria sucked, Taliban deployment sucked harder.
Mm, good. Seized control. Chat flooded with screams—I exhaled in satisfaction. Back to the soft, cutesy high tone.
"Ahuhuhu, how's that, everyone? My ASMR. Ears feel cleared out?"
"Hey, comrades. Why the freakout? As long as the acronym fits, right?"
I leaned into the screen, smirking whisper.
"Air Strike MotherfuckeR."
"Hey, 'for real'? My brain's perfectly normal."
Debut day one... This counts as a nat 20.
Huhuhu.
