Overseas Trip (1)
Today was a day that truly let me feel the claims of the clinical psychologist from Canada who had become the mental mentor for the men of the Republic of Korea.
'The necessity of standards for value judgment and the existence of social classes resulting from them.'
Having gone through lectures multiple times and studied at my desk was one thing, but experiencing the nonsense of women all day made those difficult and obscure words suddenly clear to me.
During the past few weeks of living together, there was a woman who respected me and sacrificed for me at every moment, and another woman who was drowning in victim complex and whose intelligence was so low she didn't even know what she was saying.
These were never to be viewed as the same thing.
That crazy woman was a million times more pitiful than Hanna.
This was just biological females who were the same, after all—not that everything was different.
And what?
A C-cup?
Just looking at it, it was because of a breast lift, yet it was a C-cup?
What nonsense.
And then thinking about what she said next made me even angrier.
"Men just need to give them some pleasure and it all gets resolved, right?"
Like single-celled organisms?
What kind of confidence made them think they were valuable women who could get their anger resolved by doing that?
Didn't they look in the mirror?
The sweet older brothers, fathers who always treated their daughters well, and all men indiscriminately treating women as women—so they thought they were that level?
In my view, they were all women, but...
Did such women even have popularity back then?
No bubbles like this.
And when they spoke, they still seemed to think that if they were women, all men would unconditionally please them in this world.
Really, that world had broken a while ago.
All those men were dead.
The sweet oppa, dongsaeng, ajusshi, appa were all dead.
This bastard.
And what?
Most of the unit that went to North Korea was for stabilization work and civil operations, but what did they do?
Rape?
They needed to say something that made sense.
They would have stirred up the residents' backlash and the resistance would have run rampant if they did that, so why rape?
Did that crazy woman not watch the news during the war?
Then there was a sense of sharpness in the part where they talked about what the Korean men would do, etc.
Especially the part where, usually doing nothing, when others were pulled to the war front, they made up a story that they went to work at the factory and spouted nonsense.
Ah, so those people.
I got a strong conviction that those heavy people were included.
That there were people like that among those who protected me when I was pulled to the war front...
It made the patriotism that had disappeared melt away again.
It was an uncomfortable truth that everyone turned away from, but...
How many of the 20-year-old men in the army voluntarily went?
Right from the start, when I was drafted the second time, I went thinking simply that I was going to protect my family without patriotism to protect the fellow citizens around me.
Actually, I did from the beginning.
Really, this shitty society called the Republic of Korea that I was born into had been taking for granted the sacrifices of both men and women, and now that it was getting better, it treated women's sacrifices more highly and men's sacrifices as natural, which was infuriating.
The crazy society that forced men to sacrifice without compensation.
That's why the gender conflict had been a social problem before all men died from sleep sickness.
The upper generations didn't know.
The 20-year-old men with the highest sex drive couldn't live like this anymore, and the 20-year-old women who were the most attractive were fighting like crazy, but they couldn't understand.
Why?
Wasn't it because the whole generation was trying to eat them up in their prime 20s?
Some saw them as potential perpetrators.
Others saw them only as labor force to use somehow.
By bringing in strange equality ideology and treating everything the same, they thought fair competition was impossible anymore.
But still, did they have those thoughts?
Upper generation or new generation?
They really needed to be hit hard to wake up...
Really, these brainless women.
And what made me most angry was that they were so lacking in social intelligence that they couldn't even think about how the society they lived in was maintained, and they were spewing out strange victim delusions with their mouths, which was too disgusting.
Why was the society maintained?
Why was the freedom given to me guaranteed?
Because someone was fulfilling their responsibilities and duties regarding my freedom.
In this world, women being able to have the right to pregnancy was because we men were fulfilling our responsibilities.
Because the Republic of Korea could win the Third World War was because someone was fulfilling their military duty in peacetime and not fleeing in crisis moments, and everyone did their duties.
Without knowing this basic content that even elementary school students knew, they were consuming precious values like respect and consideration by tearing down others for their meager satisfaction...
These precious values were never to be consumed in such a way.
If consumed like this, no one would sacrifice for others and become selfish, and society would disintegrate.
Wait, maybe they wanted the society to disintegrate.
Then it was even more stupid.
If the society disintegrated, they thought it would benefit them.
Hah... the flaws of democracy were showing again.
People not being mature enough, all sorts of strange things came out.
People couldn't filter them.
Couldn't kill them all either.
No, this was not it, Seonghun.
This was too extreme.
The more I slowly chewed on today's events and thought about them, the angrier I got, but as always, I looked at the moon in the night sky and suppressed it.
Since yelling wouldn't change anything, I needed to find a solution.
So time passed, the sunset disappeared, and the moon completely rose when Hanna opened the door and came in.
She said not to let others in, but Hanna was the exception.
She was a woman who could open my locked room door anytime.
She was wise enough to know whether she could come in or not, but above all, she was my woman.
What did she come to say?
Today—
"Today was very hard, wasn't it."
This was an unexpected line.
"Huh? Yeah, maybe I was tired."
The sudden words gave me great comfort.
I might even cry a little.
"It will be okay."
"What?"
"Everything will be okay."
Ah, so no matter what happened, she always took my side?
"Okay? A man living together is a woman hater? Aren't I supposed to run away?"
"I don't believe that. I know best that it's not the case. So I won't run."
"Really?"
"Yes."
Ah...
Exactly, always on my side.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
She was teasing.
She knew what I was saying.
Looking at this, the teasing had increased compared to before.
"Just, everything."
"Hehehe... Yes."
Now, beyond pure, was it becoming wanton?
Scary, Hanna.
"You know..."
"What?"
"Do you like overseas travel?"
"Huh? Um.... I went with my family when I was little, but since becoming an adult, I haven't gone even once... so I don't know well."
Oh?
Good.
Me too, first time.
"Really? Then shall we go next time?"
"Huh? Can I?"
"Don't know?"
"Yes? Tell me."
Somehow, she was standing next to me, but she climbed up and hit my chest playfully, and it was cute so I couldn't say the truth.
"Say it."
"I don't know."
If I prepared, I'd go someday.
I didn't know when.
Then I picked up Hanna who had come into my arms and carried her to the bed.
On the morning of May 20th.
"You... where are you now?"
"Huh? We're at Incheon Airport now. What's the matter? You're calling me?"
- Hoo... What business do I have going to Incheon Airport?
"Huh? Ah... I haven't gone on overseas trips before, you know. When living life, shouldn't I go somewhere at least once?"
- Do you think that's a reasonable thing to say? Traveling overseas at a time when international situations are dangerous!
"It's not bad to go at least once, right? That's why I worked hard at part-time jobs."
Heart pounding.
My first overseas trip in life.
So exciting.
Except for Jeju Island, this was the first time on a plane.
- Yeah... Assuming that's the case, why are all the men going? Eh!
"Ah, because none of the other guys have gone either. It's like a graduation trip, all going together. All together. Isn't that good?"
Half of them hadn't gone, so they were going together.
- Stop saying weird things and hurry back! After all, we can't depart and there won't be any planes flying.
"Eii... How would I know that if I gathered the kids and came here?"
There were planes.
A very large plane that we could all board.
Multiple of them.
"Everyone has bought plane tickets well. We'll come back safely. Don't worry too much, Mr. President."
- .... You, what does that mean?
"I inquired at the US Embassy in Korea, and it turns out they had prepared plane tickets for us to Japan for us."
- .....
"Hahaha, it turns out there were canceled tickets? What? I don't know exactly, but thanks to that, it's cheap."
There were no such things.
"Good, Mr. President."
- ... I know what you want, so please come back... Seonghun-kun. Huh?
"I have something I want? There is no such thing, Mr. President. Hahaha."
Damn it.
From today, I was an airport terrorist.
And terrorists went straight.
