The Value of a Person
A person's fate is mostly decided at birth.
In other words, the value a child is given is roughly equal to the value the parents bestow.
In the law or on the internet, human rights are said to be innate, and every person has the right to live in a clean environment and the right to happiness. But how can that be for everyone?
There is nothing infinite in this world.
And the law does not have that right to be happy that they speak of.
There is a right to pursue happiness.
The so-called right to be happy that strange organizations talk about is nothing more than a pretext to say that society bears responsibility for the unhappy self.
Anyway, going back, I am only valuable to the extent that the two parents who decided I would be born could give me something they possessed.
My parents, who had not been prosperous, could only offer me a limited amount.
Was I sufficient to challenge as much as possible, despair, and even if opportunities vanished, to the point of being able to create them?
Looking back now, it seems I was not.
Then, was I sufficient to guarantee that I could realize the talents I possess?
At least to the extent that I had enough of myself.
Up to this point.
However, just like about one-third of modern Korean families with children, I also became a single-parent household, and the things bestowed upon me were slashed by more than half.
The stable home, the masculinity value from the father, the comfort from wealth, and many other things given to me vanished.
And countless problems arose.
The mother, who wanted to take responsibility, chose a relative more precious than me and my sister as a stress relief, domestic violence within the family that the mother taking on the role of head of the household uses as a stress reliever,
various actions taken by people who realized they were not receiving enough love, and sacrifices for their own moral satisfaction, and so on.
It was too much.
There were too many incidents and accidents, making it very difficult and painful, but I still wanted to take the one opportunity my mother had made for me.
So, I worked hard to raise my own value, made my life goal to become a person who could give me sufficient value, and lived.
I felt envy that my sister, who had the same conditions, was valued and respected simply because she was a twenty-year-old woman,
but I knew that because I was different from my sister, I had to try to have different values, so I did that.
I lived by sacrificing everything to preserve that one fragile opportunity.
Some people started dating at the same time as entering university, continued until graduation, and looked to the next step of marriage,
others, seeing that if you wait, you'll think of the animal kingdom as much as sex and dating, and do everything you want, it was too envious but I endured.
Even if the house price skyrocketed, even if I preserved that one opportunity to the best result,
even if I thought 'can I do everything I want and want?', I endured with malice and determination.
But in the conscription crisis, inevitably the thought came to mind: 'What was the point of all this?'
If I go to the battlefield and die, it's all over.
Even if I get hit by one bullet, it's all over.
But after the world changed and I survived the war and pandemic, enormous value was given to me.
One in 10,927 people worldwide.
The only way for humanity to maintain itself that humanity can choose.
The only way for society to maintain itself that society can choose.
The value that women in their twenties to thirties had.
That value was given to me.
"Time to participate."
"Yeah."
I walked down the corridor guided by a Ministry of Foreign Affairs official in a well-fitting suit.
Aging is like this, isn't it?
The confidence that comes from maturity and calm behavior doesn't seem bad.
A few years ago, a person who couldn't even have a chance to talk was guiding me, and I'm still not used to it.
"Act the same as the previous environment you participated in, and be aware that you are representing the Republic of Korea."
"Understood."
In the midst of this great upheaval, the UN has gained supranational authority that can restrict and infringe upon the sovereignty of each country, in the current situation where humanity is facing the danger of human extinction.
How it happened is complicated, so I'll skip.
Only seven days since the UN became like this.
At the UN General Assembly where the surviving former humanity is paying attention, the moment has finally come to decide the treatment of all men in the world.
And here, I have to answer how I can protect and raise my own value, and what the country and humanity want from me.
I arrived at the conference room, praying that the answer I thought about during this time would be correct.
Closed soundproof room with cam and headset.
If someone sees it, they'll think it's a streaming streamer room.
It's decorated reasonably in the back, like a male cam room, but not quite.
In the great upheaval, UN meetings or normal meetings that couldn't gather are mostly done via video, and since men often participate, this is the situation.
And since it's being relayed and anyone can stream, the few remaining international men have become targets of interest,
and they go up and down on people's lips as gossip.
The 286th man in Korea, like the 74th man in Japan, are numbered, and photos of where and how they were shot are roaming the internet.
It's a mess.
I was the 16th man in Korea, and from the photos of previous meetings I participated in, to personal Instagram photos I posted before, they were all leaked.
Obviously, the number of followers was around 30...
What is this today, being cooked from somewhere how?
Teachers.
Hit me gently.
My bones will break.
"After the great upheaval, the absolute number of men has decreased, becoming a greater threat than climate change, which was considered the case for human extinction."
"But we cannot ignore the environmental changes of the Earth caused by climate change."
"Human population has decreased, and the perfect opportunity to prevent climate change has come."
"To take advantage of this opportunity, humanity must join the global RE100 and strictly comply."
Yeah, yeah.
Climate change is an important agenda too.
But right now, it's not about me.
"From now on, we will start a general meeting on the issues regarding the remaining few men."
It came.
"To ensure the survival of humanity, it was decided to revive the UN Trusteeship Council to govern the countries that have fallen into collapse beyond national borders."
"Now, we must decide how to evaluate the nationality of the surviving men in these countries."
"Current countries where survival as a country is possible: United States, China, Taiwan, Japan, European Union, Korea, Israel, Russia, Mexico, India, Bangladesh, Australia, Canada, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Argentina and Brazil, Colombia, Peru."
"Recognize the nationality of those who want to naturalize to the countries they want to naturalize to, and make the nationality of the remaining men the nationality of the country conducting international trusteeship to prevent international and social conflicts."
"Humanity must unite."
"Humanity had various ethnicities and countries. But in front of this population extinction tragedy, we must overcome the crisis through cooperation that transcends gender, ethnicity, country, and culture."
"The remaining 10,927 men have become treasures of humanity. And they have been given a great task of ensuring the survival and prosperity of humanity."
"It can be said that they have the greatest obligation of national revival."
"No. They have a great obligation for the revival of the world beyond their own country."
"They are currently becoming public goods that all of humanity must share, like air and the Earth."
"If we can overcome this crisis through the active sacrifice of men, we must do so."
"Also, we must hasten the universalization of science and technology such as sperm banks and in vitro fertilization."
"Which of the countries among the current situation do you think will be able to implement this science and technology? Isn't this too self-biased statement?"
"Even in this situation, what is bad about what has succeeded? Success is not a crime."
As expected, only dirty opinions that do not represent the interests of each country and the position of men came out a lot.
Even if this situation is such, the positions of countries that can be regenerated and those that are practically impossible will be different, but it is still cruel.
International politics is wild after all.
But that's why it was predictable.
Good.
If it goes to the worst case, all 10,927 men will be ignored for human rights like things for the sake of a great cause like human survival, and will be endlessly lustful towards women above the standard for pregnancy.
Also, under the leadership of each country's government, for the large part of national power, the population, they will have sex at least ten times a day and get as many pregnancies as possible.
And regardless of my human rights and will, they will have to fuck ugly women or not, fairly.
I firmly oppose such a future.
More simply, I don't like that kind of future than the lofty words that I have human rights and freedom.
I like pretty women.
I like sex with a woman who has eyes that can't help but look at me because I like her.
Sex aimed at getting pregnant with an ugly woman without my will?
Too bad.
I hate it terribly.
And how did this value come to be, I can't sell it cheap.
So, I've prepared during this time.
Although nationalities are different and age groups are diverse, most men seem to think the same as me, whether they are similar or adapted to the environment.
Expensive things shouldn't be sold cheap.
If you sell cheap, you'll definitely be eaten like candy dropped in an ant colony.
And you can't make a child without a father by putting my sperm in an unknown woman and getting her pregnant.
Those female politicians debating over there don't know men.
Stupid bitches.
Who would want to share women?
Who would want to become a public good, a government self-less population production machine?
So.
"I have an objection!"
All 10,927 surviving men raised their hands.
To protect their own value, their own safety, their own future.
