So, What Exactly Are Towers, Dungeons, and Hunters? (2)
And there was even more miscellaneous info on the Tower like that, but...
8. The Tower Supports Party Play
˪No confirmed limit on party size (largest recorded raid party: over 150,000 people)
˪However, the more people, the higher the difficulty, more monsters, or more traps, so be careful
˪Map size scales up too, but per-person rewards stay the same
˪That's why most climbers go solo or in parties of 10 or fewer on average
9. Tower Items Can Be Used Outside
˪Most can, but some special ones only work inside the Tower
10. No Bodily Functions in the Tower Except Sweat or Tears
˪You can eat when hungry, but nothing comes out no matter how much
˪Since no one rushes to the bathroom right after exiting, it seems to get consumed as HP/mana recovery for hunters
"Hmm, is this all I can dig up for now?"
Unfortunately, unless I had some info-gathering trait letting me freely surf the internet ocean like a cyber ghost, scraping together anything useful was no joke. Just a short while ago, I was nothing but a lowly part-time drone and army grunt, after all.
And in the process of trying to absorb all that info, I realized the hunter community wasn't just some regular internet site.
"Ah, so that's why searches weren't turning up jack."
Just like that suspiciously knowledgeable mystery floater said, now I knew the hunter community itself was some magical setup. For a mere B-rank scrub like me, getting anything beyond the basics I just summed up... yeah, probably impossible on all fronts.
So I decided to call it quits on Tower info for now and switched to gathering data on the thing that mattered most back in my normie days: making money.
Of course, all the time I'd spent lurking communities wasn't just for fun...
Hunters make bank by diving into Towers or dungeons to harvest materials or monster byproducts, selling items they find, claiming bounties for clearing monsters that spawn from gates or Towers, or using their traits for other jobs like those government hunters I saw before. I already knew there were tons of ways, so no need to dig there...
The real issue was the nitty-gritty details on exactly how to do that stuff. I scoured for specifics, even posted my own threads begging for info, putting in serious effort, but...
"Fuck, and this was the one I trusted most."
Sadly, beyond the "basic info" I already knew, real practical stuff was off-limits for a B-rank like me. Asking other hunters just got me "hunt dungeon spawns or gate monsters for bounties" or straight-up "hunter it up." Textbook advice only.
At this point, I couldn't help but think...
"...Is being a hunter basically just day labor, living paycheck to paycheck?"
Not that it's actually day labor or anything, but... among the Tower clear rewards I'd snagged so far, just the Cloak of Stealth alone would fetch 3-4 million won easy on the market. And the All-Purpose Recovery Potion (A-Rank) I got as 1st place on floor 5? As I mentioned before, it was like a "spare life" to hunters—from noobs who hadn't cleared floor 10 like me to climbers tackling 500-600 or even 1,000+ floors. Everyone got massive value from it.
"Whoa."
Seeing an item like that—occasionally dug up from Towers or dungeons worldwide—sell for billions in seconds...
Hell yeah, with the cash I could make right now, plus that 500-million-won potion, money worries? Pfft, what worries?
But right after that thought...
"Oh..."
Once the news hit about the cartel targeting that potion and taking down guards—including an A-rank—I noped out of selling it myself. Time to play it safe, farm monster byproducts or whatever, and grind legit cash.
