The Camilla Fan Army Rises
…
…
[No, you're not supposed to do it like that over there.]
[Hmm… maybe just try something other than Camilla.]
[For real lol, Camilla's way too hard for a newbie]
[It's like telling a kid who can't even walk yet to run;;]
[But Haem really loves Camilla the most…]
—Hyeing….
The virtual avatar on screen hung its head with a sullen expression, eyes darting around as if aware of the awkwardness.
It was understandable. This was already how many times? She'd been repeating the same defeats so many times it was tedious to even count.
The viewers' reactions weren't unreasonable either. From their perspective, there was no way not to feel bored.
I could tell from my own experience that Haem's skills were slowly improving, but to them, it probably looked completely hopeless.
Right now was a perfect example. A good engagement angle had opened up once again. Haem, following my guidance through chat, had taken the proper position and was waiting for the opportunity.
Finally, the fight broke out, and Haem soared like a hawk snatching its prey, lunging for the enemy's core damage dealer—!
—Ah, I pressed the wrong thing. Agh. Seriously!
"Ah."
Does the streamer have no learning ability at all?
I almost typed that into chat, but thankfully held back at the last second. Yeah, you've got to coddle newbies a bit. That's just how it goes.
But this was the kind of mistake that would make even me want to yell out corrections. I was watching in real time and still barely understood it.
The same mistake kept repeating. Did her fingers have a different structure from everyone else's? Maybe Haem needed to get more familiar with the computer controls before even thinking about the game itself.
I had the urge to teach her from the ground up, right beside her. Hold her hand and show her—this is a click, pressing this triggers the Q skill, in emergencies don't hold back on the long-cooldown spells, and so on.
But despite my feelings, there was only one thing I could actually do.

—You're doing great ^^ You've improved a lot
—...Really?
She asked back, but the disbelief was clear in her voice.
It seemed like the majority opinion was simply that she should stop. I could respond and cheer her on as hard as I wanted, but I couldn't run the stream looking only at me.
As a streamer, I understood that completely. Besides, I wasn't someone who could always stay in Haem's stream.
Right now was fine since I was off, but once I started streaming and doing my own work, the time I could spend in her stream would naturally shrink.
Eventually, she'd have to pay attention to the majority opinion. And that meant it wouldn't be strange at all if, when I returned to her stream later, she'd already dropped Camilla for another hero.
Just imagining it made me feel incredibly sad. The thought of pretty Haem playing a character like Nixon or Jerome instead of beautiful Camilla made a part of my chest ache.
What should I do? To change that seemingly inevitable future…?
In short, I just needed to make Haem want to keep playing Camilla. She clearly had enough interest—the problem was the chat's reaction.
Was there any way to flip the opinion of a stream with only about 30 viewers?
That's when a thought flashed through my mind.
I knew of a group that loved newbies as much as I did—and that adored Camilla.

Camilla, a character from the popular game Abyss. The Camilla Minor Gallery, where discussions about her dominated.
Today, as usual, the conversation about Camilla never stopped.
A post appeared, slightly different in tone from everything that had come before.
The post itself wasn't particularly special—just a typical stream promotion. But for some reason, comments began flooding in.
The author of the post was the reason.
Kayak, known to be off-stream, had suddenly logged into the gallery—and not just the Abyss gallery, but all the way to the Camilla Minor Gallery—to promote a specific streamer.
Whether she'd failed to log out or was simply trolling was secondary. It was a post that naturally drew interest. The name Kayak carried that much symbolic weight for Camilla players.
And so, a few minutes after Kayak posted in the Camilla Minor Gallery—
Haem's stream began to swell with an endless flood of people.
