When everyone said Yu-hye's team would win, the one guy who bet on Kayack's team alone
Didn't bet 3-to-2 like some gay little coward — went full 3-to-rice-cake
Result? Only I hit the event prize
The real man who was the only one to get a burger from the employed Abyss bro ㅇㅇ
Kayack is the rightful gallery master of Abyss Gallery
Kids sucked up to her so hard she got the unlikable treatment for a while, but after yesterday's match I get it
Kayack has more than enough qualifications to be gallery master
After seeing her on Lenox yesterday she looked so cool I wanted to watch solo queue footage or something, but no matter how hard I search nothing comes up T_T
They ask her for a victory speech and this girl suddenly starts reading a declaration lmao
Look at the caster's face completely blue-screened holy shit lmao
Afterparty drinking stream just hit the gallery holy crap
Gallery master will have a drink too right?
What was that just now? What was that just now? What was that just now?
What the hell did I just see??? Was I the only one who saw it?? Are my eyes broken??
I watched it live and I'm not sure it's something to freak out over this hard? Isn't that just the kind of thing you see all the time browsing the internet?
"Haa…."
The next morning I woke with a clearer head than usual and let out a sigh that could have collapsed the floor.
I wasn't completely fine. My head hurt and my stomach churned. But this uselessly healthy body recovered from those little injuries almost as soon as I got up, and so—
I was forced to face my past with a fully sober mind. Unfortunately.
"Gyaaaaah… aaaaah…."
And so I started rolling back and forth on the bed.
This was a silent scream. I pressed my face into the pillow and let out a weak, strangled cry.
After thrashing around for a long while, kicking my feet and flailing on the mattress, I finally sat up with a resolute expression.
Thinking about it, there was no reason to react this sensitively.
Well, I'd already thought that someday I might do a cam stream. This wasn't all that different from getting a preventive vaccination. Exactly that.
A body that would rot and disappear someday. Looking at it a little wouldn't wear it out, and besides, they hadn't even seen the real thing, right? It had only been shown through a cheap cam as a degraded image.
The clothes I'd been wearing had been a bit thin, so the shape and outline had come through completely, but—
It wasn't raw exposure. Just enough to announce that yes, there is a chest here. Exactly that much.
That much. Just that much.
Nothing to feel guilty about. No reason to care, no reason to feel uncomfortable.
Maybe I was overreacting. What era was this, after all.
It was a world where people mostly didn't care that much about others. Maybe everyone else had no particular thoughts and I was the only one tripping over my own feet.
With that mindset I habitually opened the gallery, and—
I'll go first
"---!"
I buried my face in the pillow again and rolled around on the bed.
Embarrassing. This was so, so embarrassing!
Shame, I guess you'd call it. I'd been born an attention-seeker by nature, but this kind of attention was apparently too much even for me.
Something about it was different. Something in the texture. Even when the gallery had been hyping me up mid-tournament and calling me a god, it hadn't been like this.
I'd thought it would be fine, but it wasn't. Separate from the fact that I'd originally had a man's body, embarrassing was still embarrassing.
Maybe it hit even harder precisely because I'd been a man — because I understood men's minds that well.
"Uuugh…."
I forced myself to close the gallery. Looking at it any longer in its current state would clearly only damage my mental health. The highlights of my tournament performance were definitely sitting in the recommended posts, which was a shame in more ways than one.
Anyway, given time this fire would die down. That was how everything always went.
Until then, better to turn my attention somewhere else instead of obsessing over this problem.
Mm, right. What was there.
First, winning the tournament. That was an achievement worthy of praise.
Checking the stream that had already ended, peak concurrent viewers had hit nearly twenty thousand.
Followers and subscribers had quietly ballooned too. Seeing that growth curve made me feel like entering the tournament had been worth it after all.
And for the victory speech, I'd finally said the things I'd been wanting to say for so long.
Camilla players who'd had to live with their heads down could now square their shoulders and enjoy Abyss with pride.
Whenever I saw posts about teammates dodging the moment someone locked Camilla while hurling abuse, my heart had ached so badly.
There had been a small accident at the end, but today was still a day worth commemorating. Worth a celebratory drink, even.
…No. No. After drinking had caused that whole disaster, did I really want to drink again. I was seriously terminal. Even after ending up with a body that couldn't hold liquor, I still kept wanting to drink.
Sobriety for the time being. If I drank, it would have to be little by little, testing how far I could go while still keeping my mind clear. Until then I'd be lonely, but I'd have to drink alone.
And there was something else I was supposed to do. What was it.
"Ah."
I remembered. I remembered, but….
Was it okay to post this now? With everyone's attention piled on me like this…?
"Still, what has to be done has to be done…."
If you were conscious of it, you lost. Work and private life were supposed to be kept strictly separate.
Looked at the other way, writing a post like this could even serve as an appeal that I wasn't bothered at all.
Nodding to myself, I wrote a post on Abyss Gallery.
I'm the streamer Kayack who broadcasts on Twich.
It's already been quite a while since I started streaming. My first broadcast feels like yesterday, and now I've even won a tournament — the feeling is strange and new. It's all thanks to you.
Inquiries about VTube keep piling up day after day. On stream days I hear it at least once a day.
So I'm looking to hire a VTube editor. That's why I came on today.
I haven't even made a separate channel yet. It's a brand-new channel that hasn't been opened.
I can't give you a firm answer on how much I can pay, but I also don't think I can pay that much. I haven't been streaming for long and my income still isn't stable.
So what's good about becoming Kayack's VTube editor? You might ask what the merit is.
Advantages… there are several, but if I name just one:
You can open the channel together with me. In other words, a chance to become a founding contributor.
You get to feel that flavor of growing a channel side by side. That's a feeling you can't get from a giant channel that's already finished growing.
As a fellow partner I'll always seek your advice and do my best to grow the channel. I won't act like some dictator just because I'm the channel owner. I listen well to other people.
Anyway, this got long as I wrote it, so for people who don't read long posts, the summary:
Hiring a VTube editor. Please apply in large numbers.
