Behold. The weapons and armor I bought for a thousand points each.
An elegant antique staff! A platinum katana! And this outfit that looks like endgame gear at a glance! Because of my class I can't wear shop-bought armor, so instead I get this ceremonial dress that looks like a goddamn golden whore's costume—but I'm satisfied.
STR: 20(+10)
DEX: 20(+10)
INT: ?
LUK: 200(+100)
And the stats… that Intelligence question mark is fucking annoying, but divine power scales off luck, so who cares!
For reference, a five-square-meter inventory (about five pyeong) cost five hundred points, and five basic skills another five hundred. Four thousand points vanished in an instant, but I didn't feel the slightest regret.
I'd originally planned to buy a bigger inventory, but a purchase limit appeared. When I asked the status window why, it hit me with an "it's not time yet" line, so I gave up.
Still, the skills were solid.
• Heal
• Bless
• Holy Arrow
• Holy Shield
• Basic Swordsmanship
Quality skills. Still, they look pretty pathetic next to the gear.
A rough look at the prices showed that skills and inventory were the only things that were absurdly expensive.
And no, points aren't easy to farm either.
Hunt a monster and you get one point per kill. Some give five or ten. Doing a good deed? Two points.
There are quests, though…
Resolve the troubles of Fargist Village at the foot of the Fargis Mountains.
Five hundred points. The price of five skills, but honestly that "troubles" part was way too vague.
Compared to that, though, there was one easy road. I pulled it up and admired it.
Upon giving birth, 1000 Shop Points awarded per child.
How do I put this… an extremely extreme method. It basically screams "only use this if you're so desperate for cash that you'd fuck goblins and pop out litters."
"For now… I'll just grind slowly. And I'll take you guys to a nice goblin nest. That's the least my conscience can do."
Thinking that, I picked up the basket holding the five pig brothers and five goblin brothers and started down the mountain.
Guards have it easy.
That was the common perception—and the common insult—around this village.
But it was a statistical error. If the guards were busy, something was seriously wrong, and by that point the villagers themselves would be in chaos.
In other words, idle guards meant a peaceful village.
"Haaaaah."
Still, just because a man's body is free doesn't mean his mind is.
"Stan, quit sighing already. You're draining the life out of me too."
"Come on, cut me some slack. My daughter's laid up in bed—if I wasn't sighing, that would be the weird part."
"Tsk. Of all times for the priest to get seduced by a succubus and skip town, this plague had to hit."
"Wouldn't have mattered even if he was still here. We both know how good that old man is. I've thought it through coldly—he never had the power to cure a disease like this."
Stan looked at his daughter lying in the sickbed and thought a great many things. He also judged them coldly.
A decrepit old priest. The kind who, after a few glasses of wine, would spin ridiculous tales about serving at the central cathedral.
Normally someone that old would at least have deep faith, but to Stan's eyes the old priest's divine power looked weaker than the apprentice nuns he'd known as a boy.
"Hey, Stan. Someone's coming… holy shit, look at those tits… she's gorgeous."
"Hah! A woman like that in a backwater like this? What would she even be do—huh?"
Stan started to snort at his partner's joke, then realized the man wasn't joking. A woman really was approaching. And he beheld a beauty the likes of which he had never seen in his entire life.
"…Excuse me."
Stan jumped when he realized she was suddenly right in front of his nose.
"Ah—yes! Welcome to Fargist Village! I am Stan, a guard of this village!"
Watching Stan snap a salute fit for a royal procession, his partner snickered and drawled,
"Welcome to Fargist Village. Now then—your name and status… that habit marks you as a nun. Do you have proof?"
"My name is Serena. And here is the holy seal."
The nun drew the Goddess's token from her basket and held it out. Soft light glowed from the seal.
That proved she was a nun who wielded divine power. And by pure coincidence, she was exactly the person this village needed most.
Everything went smoothly. I was currently being entertained at the village chief's house. More precisely, I was being entertained by Neid, the late chief's grandson, who had taken over three months ago after the old man passed.
Why was I dragged straight here for hospitality the moment I set foot in the village? No idea. I'd figured I should meet someone important, but I never expected it to happen this fast.
It felt like I'd planned to ski to the destination only to discover the skis had turbo engines strapped on.
Fuck, did they figure out I'm the Holy Maiden?
Not good. Right before arriving I'd switched to a regular nun's habit and a plain staff, worried someone would see the endgame weapons and start making unreasonable demands.
Let's be real—the expectations for a Holy Maiden and a regular nun are not the same.
I just wanted the easy route.
"I'm sorry this is all we have to offer."
"No, it's fine."
From the perspective of a modern person used to solid infrastructure, dried fruit and tea that seemed to have been steeped from the same fruit looked a little sparse. But I am a cultured intellectual who does not sweat the small stuff.
Shut the fuck up, you bastard.
The status window—which knew jack shit about society—tried to butt in, but I ignored it.
Anyway, Neid… he was ridiculously cute, wasn't he?
"But isn't it hard? With the chief collapsed and you handling village affairs at such a young age…"
"Hmph! I'll have you know I've already passed my coming-of-age ceremony. I'll keep growing until I'm thirty!"
Neid squeaked in protest. Right, matching his age—
"A-adult?"
"Yes! I'm twenty-one this year!"
Neid proudly announced his age as if to prove he was all grown up. No matter how I looked at it, the first digit felt wrong.
Hey, status window. Explain! Forget demon king subjugation—we might get fucked first!!!
In other words: adult. In other words: legal shota.
I pictured Neid's lower half while he was standing. There was a distinct bulge in his crotch. And it was big.
Kyuun♡
My womb throbbed. It hadn't even been two hours since I gave birth—don't be so faithful to your instincts♡ Among every man I've seen in this other world so far, his face is cute, but♡ it's painfully obvious he'll grow into a handsome, big-dicked alpha male♡
No.
I can't… but my womb is flipping the bitch switch!
"…and so that's the situation."
"…Mmm! That is serious."
Sorry, Neid. Honestly I was too busy suppressing my heat to hear a word. Status window, summarize!
This was bad.
Fantasy, modern, SF—doesn't matter. As long as humans are made of cells, an epidemic has no answer.
"We will compensate you handsomely. Please… will you help us?"
Neid bowed his head low and begged. When someone goes that far, it's hard to refuse.
These people are human.
I woke up and the situation was already over—what the hell was I supposed to do? Just extract maximum profit from the circumstances I was given. Besides, there's a saying that generosity comes from a full granary.
I thought again of the gear in my inventory and of Azazel's sacrifice, and decided to extend a little goodwill to these people as well.
"I'll do it. When people are suffering, of course a nun must help."
"Thank you! Thank you!"
The moment I accepted, Neid bowed over and over, pouring out gratitude. But there was a problem I needed to solve before I could start working in earnest.
"Ah, then about the compensation first…"
"First, show me your dick."
"?"
I needed to calm my rampaging womb before I could get any work done, so I was going to have to devour the legal shota standing right in front of me first.
